Mike Maloney, CFM

The Board Meeting was called to order at 7:00pm.

The Minutes of the August Board Meeting were approved with several changes.

1.  The Board reviewed a draft letter to homeowners with patio trees that require immediate attention because limbs or branches are brushing against roofs and gutters, or are leaning on the fences or causing problems to neighbors patios or common areas.  It was agreed that these letters need to be sent while the trees are still in leaf.  A version of the letter that deals with trees that require attention, but not urgently, was discussed.

2.  The Board reviewed a request to finish the attic at 3451 S. Wakefield Street with a bedroom, closets, and storage space.  The request was approved.

VICE PRESIDENTS’ REPORTS:

Marilyn Beck, VP of Buildings,  indicated that there will be a committee meeting soon  to discuss the issue of  exterior exposed wiring for heat pumps.

Pat Schoen, President,  reported that the dog swim on September 15 drew a crowd of dogs and their 2-legged friends to close a successful pool season.

Tom McQuillan, Treasurer, stated that the 4% proposed increase in homeowner monthly assessments would be voted on at the Annual Budget Meeting this week on Thursday. The 30% increase in our Master Insurance Policy this summer and the addition of one more building for our autumn roofing schedule contributed to the need for an increase.  He  indicated that this will be the second increase in as many years, but that was proceded by 9 years of no increase in assessments.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm.
