ARMED ROBBERY / MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 6/30/2006, 5600 blk N. 4th St., At approximately 0640 hrs on 06/30/06, a cab driver picked up a fare in south Arlington. The passenger directed the cab driver to drive to the 5600 block of N. 4th St. and then robbed the cabdriver of cash at gunpoint. When the cab driver got out of his car, the robber shot him once in the lower leg and fled on foot. The suspect is described as a W/H/M wearing a black baseball cap, blue jeans, and a white t-shirt draped over his shoulder. HOMICIDE, 6/30/2006, 1300 blk S. Joyce St., At approximately 0006 hrs on 06/30/06, officers responded for a report of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim who appeared to have died from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Detectives have interviewed witnesses and continue to investigate. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 6/29/2006, 1100 blk S. Fern St., Between 1700 hrs on 06/28/06 and 0600 hrs on 06/29/06, someone entered a construction site and took a large amount of copper pipe. PEEPING TOM, 6/29/2006, 3200 blk N. Pershing Dr., At approximately 0025 hrs on 06/29/06, a partially dressed female observed a man videotaping her through her bedroom window. The woman screamed and the man fled on foot. The suspect was described as a clean-shaven, short-haired white male. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 6/28/2006, 2400 blk Lee Highway, Between 2300 hrs on 06/27/06 and 0640 hrs on 06/28/06, someone entered a convenience store by smashing the glass front door and took cigarettes, phone cards, and cash. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 6/27/2006, 4400 blk Wilson Boulevard, Between 1500 hrs on 06/26/06 and 0630 hrs on 06/27/06, someone entered a construction site and broke into several offices by cutting off padlocks. A large amount of copper and copper wire and various hand tools were taken. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/27/2006, 2100 blk N. Patrick Henry Dr., Between 1700 hrs on 06/25/06 and 0900 hrs on 06/27/06, someone entered a shed and took a bicycle. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/27/2006, 2900 blk S. 16th Rd., Between 0501 hrs on 06/26/06 and 0445 hrs on 06/27/06, someone broke into a locked shed by removing the padlock and took an assortment of power tools. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/27/2006, 1900 blk S. Monroe St., On 06/26/06 or 06/27/06, someone broke into a locked shed by removing the top door latch and took a powerwasher. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/26/2006, 6400 blk N. 28th St., Between 1200 hrs on 06/25/06 and 1800 hrs on 06/26/06, someone entered a home through an unlocked basement door and took a bicycle. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/26/2006, 3600 blk S. 24th Rd., Between 1200 hrs on 06/17/06 and 0730 hrs on 06/26/06, someone took one lawnmower from a locked detached shed and a second lawnmower from beside the shed. It is unknown how entry was gained to the shed. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/25/2006, 1400 blk N. Rhodes St., Between midnight and 0800 hrs on 06/25/06, someone used patio furniture at the ground level to climb up onto a 2nd floor balcony and take a bicycle. FELONY ESCAPE, 6/24/2006, 1300 blk N. Courthouse Rd., At approximately 1414 hrs on 06/24/06, an officer observed a man climbing out of the back of a van stopped at a red light. As the man ran from the scene, the officer saw he had shackles on his legs. The officer chased the man down and detained him. The van, which belongs to a private prisoner transport company, was carrying two guards and nine prisoners and was enroute to the Arlington County Detention Facility to pick up a tenth prisoner. Glen A. Harrison, Jr., 25, of no fixed address, was charged with felony escape and held without bond. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/24/2006, 1800 blk N. Quebec St., At approximately 0353 hrs on 06/24/06, officers responded to check on a suspicious person sneaking around a residence. Officers found the man and detained him after a struggle. The man was found to be in possession of items stolen from a nearby home where the residents had not yet discovered the burglary. Angel L. Deleon-Vicente, 22, of Arlington, was charged with Burglary and Petit Larceny and held on a $10,000 secured bond. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY/SEXUAL BATTERY, 6/24/2006, 3800 blk Columbia Pike, At approximately 0305 hrs on 06/24/06, a man entered a residence through an unlocked door. He woke a female resident and warned her to be quiet. The man threatened the victim with a knife and fondled her. The victim was able to get away and yell for help, causing the man to flee. The suspect was described as a W/H/M, about 35 years old, 5’8” tall, 180 lbs, last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and blue and white sneakers. FELONY DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, 6/22/2006, 1400 blk S. Edgewood St., At approximately 1640 hrs on 06/22/06, an officer was flagged down by witnesses who saw four young men throwing bottles at moving cars and breaking out the windows of a parked vehicle. The officer located the four juveniles near another parked vehicle which had been tampered with and was able to detain three of them at the scene. The fourth juvenile fled but was later located at his residence. All four juveniles were interviewed by detectives and appear to be connected to a number of other property crimes. Numerous charges are pending. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/22/2006, 800 blk N. Jackson St., At approximately 0520 hrs on 06/22/06, a woman entered her ex-boyfriend’s residence by cutting a screen and climbing through an open window. The woman then attacked the ex-boyfriend as he slept. The suspect was found by officers on the rear porch of the home. Gangantogos-Ulziibayas Yunden, 29, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with burglary and assault and battery. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/22/2006, 5600 blk N. 8th Rd., Between 0900 hrs and 1300 hrs on 06/22/06, someone entered a home through an unlocked door and took cash. ARMED ROBBERY, 6/22/2006, 2000 blk S. Crystal Dr., At approximately 0205 hrs on 06/22/06, the victim was loading high-tech stereo components from a bar into his vehicle. A man with a handgun approached the victim, who fled back in to the bar. While the victim was calling police, the suspect left the scene with some of the stereo components. The suspect was described as a B/M in his 20’s, 5’10” tall, thin, last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants. ATTEMPTED GRAND LARCENY AUTO, 6/21/2006, 3500 blk S. Utah St., At approximately 0244 hrs on 06/21/06, officers responded for a report of two suspects tampering with a vehicle. As one officer approached the scene, he observed a suspicious vehicle nearby and detained the driver. Other officers set up a perimeter and spotted two men meeting the descriptions of the men who tampered with the vehicle. Officers detained the two men who were later positively identified by the victim. All three suspects were charged with attempted grand larceny of auto, conspiracy to commit grand larceny of auto, and possession of burglarious tools. The three arrestees, all residents of Washington, D.C., are Jeron Holloway, 21; Renardo D. Minnis, 21; and O’Connor Anderson, 27. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 6/21/2006, 1400 blk N. Ohio St., Between 1700 hrs on 05/12/06 and 0900 hrs on 05/13/06, someone broke into a construction trailer by cutting the pad lock and took construction tools, including a jackhammer. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 6/19/2006, 3600 blk Columbia Pike, Between 1745 hrs on 06/17/06 and 0905 hrs on 06/19/06, someone forced the door into a business and apparently rifled through cabinets. Nothing appears to have been taken. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 6/19/2006, 1900 blk S. Kenmore St., On 06/19/06 , a Wakefield High School student suffered facial injuries when he was assaulted by several other students while riding on a school bus. One 15 year old male was arrested at the scene for obstruction of justice. School resource officers are investigating and petitions are pending for 6 juvenile males ranging in age from 14 to 17. The juveniles will be charged with malicious wounding and assault by mob. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 6/18/2006, 3700 blk Columbia Pike, At approximately 0950 hrs on 06/18/06, an employee of a business discovered a man in an office after a burglar alarm sounded. The man convinced the employee that he was a contracted computer technician. Employees later discovered that cash was missing from the office and several doors in the business were damaged. ATTEMPTED SEXUAL ASSAULT, 6/18/2006, 3500 blk S. 2nd St., At approximately 1830 hrs on 06/18/06, a woman was walking her dogs when a man approached her from behind and tried to pull down her shorts. When the victim turned around, the suspect fled on foot. The suspect was described as a W/H/M, 22 to 24 years old, 5’9” to 5’10” tall, 160 lbs, last seen wearing a yellow polo shirt with black stripes, blue jeans, and black sneakers. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 6/17/2006, 700 blk S. Dickerson St., At approximately 0200 hrs on 06/17/06, a woman was preparing to enter a building when a man attacked her from behind. The man knocked the victim to the ground and bit her several times. The victim fought the attacker off and he fled on foot. The suspect was described as a W/H/M in his 20’s, 5’6” to 5’9” tall, 170 lbs, last seen wearing a black knit cap, a black shirt, and black pants. The suspect may have an injury to his eye. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 6/16/2006, 900 blk N. Glebe Rd., Between 1430 hrs on 06/15/06 and 0545 hrs on 06/16/06, someone entered a shed on a construction site by cutting off a padlock and took a large amount of copper wire and various hand tools. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 6/16/2006, 3400 blk N. Fairfax Dr., At approximately 1440 hrs on 06/16/06, a man was seen exposing himself in the rear parking lot of a business building. The suspect was described as a W/H/M, 25 years old, 5’8” tall, with long sideburns and a goatee, last seen wearing dark-colored pants, light-colored underwear, and a red baseball cap. PEEPING TOM, 6/16/2006, 600 blk N. Monroe St., Between 2320 hrs on 06/15/06 and 0213 hrs on 06/16/06, someone placed an extension ladder against an apartment building allowing views into bedrooms on the 1st and 2nd floors. There is no suspect information. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/15/2006, 700 blk S. Barton St., Between 1800 hrs on 06/14/06 and 0654 hrs on 06/15/06, someone broke into a locked shed and took a jackhammer. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/15/2006, 2200 blk N. Quantico St., Between 0800 and 1751 hrs on 06/15/06, someone entered a house through a kitchen window and took cash. ROBBERY BY FORCE, 6/15/2006, 400 blk N. George Mason Dr., At approximately 2000 hrs on 06/15/06, a man was robbed by two recent acquaintances. The two suspects assaulted the man, held him down, and took cash and cigarettes. Suspect #1 , possibly named “Tony”, was described as a W/H/M, 40’s, 5’8” tall, 180 lbs, last seen wearing a brown shirt and brown jeans. Suspect #2 was described as a B/M, approximately 30 years old, 5’6”, 130 lbs, last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt and blue jeans. BANK ROBBERY, 6/14/2006, 4200 blk Wilson Blvd., At approximately 1538 hrs on 06/14/06, a man entered a bank, approached a teller and handed over a note demanding money. The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash. The man fled the scene on foot. No weapon was displayed and nobody was injured during the robbery. The suspect is described as a clean-shaven W/M, 30 to 40 years old, 5’10” to 6’ tall, 200 to 250 lbs. He was last seen wearing a light green or brown polo shirt and an orange baseball cap with the Texas Longhorns symbol on the front. ARMED ROBBERY/MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 6/13/2006, 4300 block N. Henderson Rd. At approximately 0305 hrs on 06/13/06, a man getting into his car was approached by two masked men armed with handguns. They demanded his money then shot the victim in the lower body. One of the men took cash from the victim’s pocket. The victim is in stable condition in a local hospital. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 6/12/2006, 1000 block N. Quincy St., At approximately 1430 hrs on 06/12/06, a man exposed himself to a female in a public building then fled on foot. The suspect was described as a dark-skinned B/M, 25 to 28 years old, 5’8” to 6’ tall, 140 to 150 lbs, wearing a long, white t-shirt, black pants, and dark shoes. ATTEMPTED SEXUAL ASSAULT, 6/11/2006, 4200 block N. 2nd Rd., At approximately 0519 hrs on 06/11/06, a woman was preparing to enter a building when she was approached by a man. The man engaged her in conversation then began to remove the woman’s clothes. The victim screamed and the man fled on foot. The suspect was described as a W/H/M, 20-30 years old, 5’7”, 150 lbs., with a mustache, wearing a yellow t-shirt and blue jeans. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/10/2006, 1300 block S. Walter Reed Dr., Between 1930 hrs on 06/09/06 and 2230 hrs on 06/10/06, someone removed a realtor’s lockbox from an entry door by unscrewing the door handle. The suspect apparently was able to get the key out of the lock box and use the key to enter a locked storage room in the building. Two storage units were broken into by cutting wires and locks and a video camera was taken from each of the storage units. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 6/10/2006, 1600 block S. Walter Reed Dr., At approximately 2252 hrs on 06/10/06, a fight broke out among a group of people outside of a restaurant. One man was hit in the head with a bottle by an undetermined person. The man went to his vehicle and retrieved a hammer which he used to hit another man in the head. Arrested was Marcelino Fuentes-Sargueta, 33, of Alexandria. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 6/10/2006, area of 2900 block S. Glebe Rd., At approximately 2000 hrs on 06/10/06, a man was gambling in a residence with acquaintances. The victim refused a request for money from another man and was stabbed in the upper body. The suspect, who may use the name “Andres”, is described as a W/H/M in his 50’s, last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. ARMED ROBBERY, 6/10/2006, 3900 block S. Four Mile Run Dr., At approximately 0011 hrs on 06/10/06, a man driving a taxi robbed his passenger of a wallet at gunpoint. The suspect was described as a B/M, 26-27 years old, shaved head, wearing black clothing. The taxi was described as a boxy, black 4-door sedan with a white “taxi” sign on the roof. ARMED ROBBERY, 6/10/2006, 900 block S. George Mason Dr., At approximately 1619 hrs on 06/10/06, a man in a retail store selected merchandise and paid at the register. When the clerk opened the cash register, the man produced a knife and grabbed cash from the register before fleeing on foot. The suspect is described as an adult W/H/M, 5’9” tall, 170 lbs, with short, dark, curly hair. He was last seen wearing a red cap and a light blue shirt with white stripes. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/9/2006, 4900 block Columbia Pike, Between 2030 hrs and 2205 hrs on 06/09/06, someone entered an unsecured living room window by removing a screen and took a purse containing cash, a credit card, and personal belongings. ROBBERY BY FORCE, 6/9/2006, 4900 block S. 10th St., At approximately 2135 hrs on 06/09/06, a juvenile female was walking when she was knocked to the ground by a man. A second man removed cash from her pocket and took her purse, cell phone, and sunglasses. The men fled on foot. Suspect #1 was described as a teenage W/H/M, 5’11” tall, 170 lbs, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with black squares and blue jeans. Suspect #2 was described as a teenage B/M, 5’11”, 150 lbs, wearing a black ski mask and navy blue hooded sweatshirt. ROBBERY BY FORCE, 6/9/2006, 2300 block N. 11th St., At approximately 2330 hrs on 06/09/06, a man was walking down the street when he was assaulted by two other men. The men took his wallet and cell phone and fled on foot with a woman. Suspect #1 was described as a B/M, 30-35 years old, 6’4”, 170 lbs, braided hair, wearing a green shirt. Suspect #2 was described as a B/M, 20-25 years old, 5’10”, 150 lbs, short hair, wearing a black shirt and black pants. The possible female associate was described as a B/F wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/7/2006, 1500 block Colonial Terrace, Between 0000 hrs and 1400 hrs on 06/07/06, someone entered an apartment and took a laptop computer. The point of entry is not known. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 6/7/2006, 2800 block N. 11th St., At approximately 1555 hrs on 06/07/06, three male teenagers were seen “keying” a total of nine parked vehicles. Suspect #1 was described as a B/M, 5’9”, 150 lbs, wearing a red t-shirt and dark shorts. Suspects #2 and #3 were both described as B/M, 5’8” to 5’9”, 150 lbs, wearing dark t-shirts and dark shorts. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/7/2006, 100 block N. Oakland St., Between 2200 hrs on 06/06/06 and 0718 hrs on 06/07/06, someone entered an attached garage and took a bicycle and other personal belongings. The garage door had accidentally been left open by the residents. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 6/6/2006, 2700 block S. Fern St., Between 0830 hrs and 1800 hrs on 06/06/06, someone “keyed” a total of three parked vehicles. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 6/5/2006, 900 block N. Kansas St. Between 1700 hrs on 06/03/06 and 0830 hrs on 06/05/06, someone entered a garage on a construction site and took video equipment. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/5/2006, 3900 block N. River St., Between 1000 hrs on 06/04/06 and 0600 hrs on 06/05/06, someone entered a residential garage and took a bicycle. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 6/5/2006, 2700 block S. Quincy St., Between 1530 hrs on 06/03/06 and 0630 hrs on 06/05/06, someone entered a building under construction and took 70 bags of mortar. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/4/2006, 2000 block N. Harrison St., Between 1045 hrs and 1210 hrs on 06/04/06, someone entered a home through an unlocked rear sliding glass door and took a laptop computer and jewelry. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 6/4/2006, 4400 block Henderson Rd., At approximately 0201 hrs on 06/04/06, two men who had been drinking together began to argue. The argument escalated into a fight and one man stabbed the other in the neck with a broken bottle. The victim was transported to the hospital. The suspect was found hiding in his residence. Arrested was Omar E. Melendez, 29, of Arlington. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 6/3/2006, 3100 block Columbia Pike, Between 2000 hrs on 06/02/06 and 0950 hrs on 06/03/06, someone entered the rear door of a business by smashing an adjacent window and reaching in to unlock the door. Cash was taken from the register. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 6/3/2006, 2300 block S. 26th Ct., At approximately 0244 hrs on 06/03/06, officers responded to an alarm and found that somebody had removed a screen and pried open a second-level window. It is not known at this time if anything was taken. SEXUAL BATTERY, 6/3/2006, 3300 block Fairfax Dr., At approximately 2315 hrs on 06/03/06, the female victim was walking on the street. A man approached her from behind, touched her genital area through her clothing, and fled on foot. The suspect was described as a dark-complected B/M, 30 to 35 years old, 5’8” tall, 160 lbs, last seen wearing a dark polo shirt and tan pants, carrying a black backpack. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 6/2/2006, 2600 block N. Nottingham St., Between 1730 hrs on 06/01/06 and 0730 hrs on 06/02/06, someone entered a secured house under construction and took several tools. It is not clear how the suspect gained entry to the house. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 6/1/2006, 900 block S. Columbus St., Between 02/21/06 and 06/01/06, someone pried the lock on a storage closet in an apartment building and took several boxes containing books and other personal belongings. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 6/1/2006, 1800 block Clarendon Boulevard, Between 1500 hrs on 05/31/06 and 0641 hrs on 06/01/06, someone pried open the door to an office on a construction site and took several boxes of copper wire. ATTEMPTED CARJACKING, 6/1/2006, 800 block S. Arlington Mill Dr., At approximately 0005 hrs on 06/01/06, a man who had just parked his 1997 Volvo was approached by two men who demanded his car keys. After a brief struggle, the two suspects fled on foot. Suspect #1 is described as a W/H/M, approximately 16 years old, 5’8” to 5’9” tall and about 150 lbs. Suspect #2 is described as a W/M, 16-17 years old, 5’6” to 5’8” tall. Both suspects were last seen wearing white t-shirts and baggy blue jeans. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 5/31/2006, 5600 block N. 16th St., Between 1530 hrs on 05/30/06 and 0645 hrs on 05/31/06, someone entered a home under renovation and took a large amount of construction tools. Entry was apparently made through a partially demolished wall of the house. ARMED ROBBERY, 5/31/2006, 1600 block S. Eads St., At approximately 1315 hrs on 05/31/06, a pizza delivery man was lured to an apartment building where he was robbed at gunpoint of cash and a beverage. The suspect is described as a B/M, 6’2” to 6’4” tall, 160 lbs, last seen wearing dark clothing and a dark ski mask. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 5/29/2006, 1600 block Arlington Boulevard/1500 block N. Pierce St., Between 0230 hrs and 0700 hrs on 05/29/06, someone splashed a tar-like substance on 10 vehicles. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 5/29/2006, 2700 block N. Marcey Rd., Between 2100 hrs on 05/28/06 and 0707 hrs on 05/29/06, someone entered the grounds of a community pool by cutting a section of barbed wire fencing. The person pried open a shutter to enter a snack bar area and took a package of ping-pong balls and a hat. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 5/28/2006, 1500 block N. 12th St., Between 1900 hrs and 2030 hrs on 05/28/06, someone slashed a total of 21 tires on 7 vehicles. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 5/28/2006, 1100 block S. Hayes St., Between 1800 hrs and 2123 hrs on 05/28/06, someone entered a closed mall and broke into a vendor’s kiosk, taking numerous cell phones. ARSON, 5/28/2006, 3000 block N. 1st Rd., At approximately 0147 hrs on 05/28/06, police received a report of a car on fire. Officers found a burning 2001 Mercedes and a container of gasoline nearby. It has not yet been confirmed if the Mercedes was stolen. ROBBERY BY FORCE, 5/28/2006, 2600 block S. Shirlington Rd., At approximately 2333 hrs on 05/28/06, the victim was walking down the street when he was approached by three men. One of the men ripped the victim’s necklace from his neck and threatened him. The suspect is described as a W/H/M, 19-20 years old, 5’5”-5’8” tall, 150-170 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 5/27/2006, 4600 N. 26th St./4200 N. 31st St./2500-3000 Military Rd./2500-4000 Nelly Custis Dr., Between 0100 hrs and 0600 hrs on 05/27/06, someone smashed out the rear windows of 14 vehicles. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 5/25/2006, 2700 block S. Quincy St., Between 1100 hrs on 05/19/06 and 0900 hrs on 05/22/06 someone forced the door into a business suite and took laptops, camcorders, and a piece of jewelry. PEEPING TOM, 5/24/2006, 3400 block N. 12TH Rd., At approximately 2300 hrs on 05/24/06, a woman in a house saw someone looking in the window. It was discovered later that a chair had been placed against the outside of the house. The suspect was described only as a person with long, curly hair. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 5/24/2006, 1300 block S. Columbus St., At approximately 1330 hrs on 05/24/06 a man entered a house by breaking a pane of glass in the rear door with a brick. The man took some jewelry then fled through a rear basement door after encountering a resident in the basement. The suspect was described as a short W/H/M wearing dark clothing. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 5/23/2006, 1400 block Wilson Boulevard, Between 2230 hrs on 05/22/06 and 1000 hrs on 05/23/06 someone entered a business by removing the lock on the door and took cash from the register. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 5/23/2006, 1500 block Wilson Boulevard, Between 1930 hrs on 05/22/06 and 0726 hrs on 05/23/06, someone entered a business by removing the lock on the door and took a bicycle. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 5/22/2006, 4000 block Arlington Boulevard, Between 1730 hrs on 05/19/06 and 0600 on 05/22/06 someone entered a construction site and took tools from a building under construction and a construction trailer. The door to the trailer was pried open. ARMED ROBBERY, 5/23/2006, 1500 block Arlington Boulevard, At approximately 0030 hrs on 05/23/06, two men entered a hotel lobby with handguns and robbed the desk clerk of cash from the register. After unsuccessfully attempting to have the desk clerk and security guard open the safe, one of the men assaulted the security guard. The men robbed two hotel customers of their wallet and purse as they left then fled on foot. The suspects are described as a B/M, 6’1”, 200 lbs, and a B/M, 5’7”, 150 lbs. The suspects were last seen wearing dark baseball caps, dark stocking-type masks, black suede jackets, blue jeans, and gloves. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 5/22/2006, 1100 block S. Hayes St., Between 1900 hrs on 05/21/06 and 0810 hrs on 05/22/06, someone entered a business and took cash from the register. The front door was found unsecured but did not appear to be damaged. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 5/22/2006, 4000 block N. 9th St., Between 0730 hrs and 1850 hrs on 05/22/06, someone entered a locked apartment and took a laptop computer. There were no signs of force on the apartment door. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 5/21/2006, 4200 block S. Four Mile Run Dr., At approximately 1652 hrs on 05/21/06 a man was seen running around the neighborhood completely nude. The man then entered his apartment and stood in his window, still exposing himself. Arrested was Diego Justiniano, 23, of Arlington. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 5/21/2006, 1600 block S. Hayes St., Between 1645 hrs on 05/18/06 and 1710 hrs on 05/21/06, someone entered a residence by smashing a sliding glass door and took credit cards, cash, and a firearm. ROBBERY BY FORCE, 5/21/2006, 900 block N. Stuart St., At approximately 1700 hrs on 05/21/06, a man was walking on the skywalk when he was approached by a man who asked to use his cell phone. The victim refused and the man demanded the phone and threatened to harm the victim. The victim gave the phone to the man who then demanded his money as well. The victim gave the man some cash. At that point, the man was taken into custody by police officers. Arrested was Daniel Jimenez, 25, of Arlington. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 5/20/2006, unit block N. Fenwick St., Between 1730 hrs on 05/19/06 and 0800 hrs on 05/20/06, someone entered a house under construction and took a large amount of tools. The tools were locked in a room that does not yet have a ceiling and the thief apparently scaled the walls to make entry. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 5/19/2006, 5600 block S. 7th Rd., At approximately 2307 hrs on 05/19/06, a woman and her boyfriend were at home when the woman’s ex-boyfriend arrived and demanded to be let in. The ex-boyfriend eventually entered by smashing out a rear bedroom window. He chased the woman and her boyfriend upstairs then fled the scene. Warrants are on file for Mingo Warren Peterson, 34, of no fixed address. ROBBERY BY FORCE, 5/18/2006, 2600 block Jefferson Davis Highway, At approximately 0950 hrs on 05/18/06, a cab driver waiting in front of a hotel was approached by a man who began to argue with him about moving the cab. The man tried to take the cab driver’s keys but was unsuccessful. When the cab driver tried to call the police, the man yanked his cell phone out of his hand. He then punched the cab driver once in the back of the head before fleeing in a red BMW. The BMW was later located nearby and the investigation is ongoing. PEEPING TOM, 5/18/2006, 3800 block N. 6th St., At approximately 0550 hrs on 05/18/06, a woman getting dressed heard a noise and turned to see a man looking in her bedroom window. The woman fled the room and checked back a few minutes later to find the man gone. The suspect was described as a W/H/M in his late 30’s to early 40’s. ROBBERY BY FORCE, 5/18/2006, 4300 block N. 4th St., At approximately 1615 hrs on 05/18/06, a woman was entering her apartment building when she felt a tug on her purse. She looked back and saw a man who pulled the purse out of her hands and fled on foot with a female who was waiting nearby. The suspect is described as a B/M in his 20’s, 6’3”, 160 lbs, last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black shirt and black pants. ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY, 5/18/2006, 1900 block Wilson Boulevard, At approximately midnight on 05/18/06, the manager of a business was locking up his store. Just after the manager locked the doors, a man with a gun in his waistband and wearing a mask attempted unsuccessfully to enter the store. The suspect met up with another male nearby and fled on foot. Both suspects were described as tall, thin B/M’s wearing black coats and dark pants. SEXUAL BATTERY, 5/17/2006, 1000 block N. Garfield St., At approximately midnight on 05/17/06, a woman was walking her dog when a man ran up to her. He touched her in a sexual manner and fled on foot. The suspect was described as a tall B/M with a backpack. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 5/15/2006, 2500 block Army Navy Dr., At approximately 0630 hrs on 05/15/06, a woman was jogging when a silver, older-model 2-door sedan pulled up next to her and matched her pace. The woman looked toward the car and saw the male driver exposing himself. The woman fled into a wooded area and the suspect departed. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 5/15/2006, 1100 blk N. Irving St., Sometime between 05/13/06 and 0800hrs on 05/15/06, someone used bricks to break the front window and glass door on two businesses. It does not appear that anything was taken. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 5/11/2006, 1600 block Wilson Boulevard, Between 1300 hrs on 05/10/06 and 1945 hrs on 05/11/06, someone pried open a door to a suite in an office building. It is unknown at this time if anything was taken. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 5/10/2006, 4900 block N. Rock Springs Rd., Between 0930 hrs and 1300 hrs on 05/10/06 someone entered a house through a laundry room window and took a large amount of jewelry. ARMED ROBBERY, 5/10/2006, 1100 block S. Hayes St., At approximately 2130 hrs on 05/10/06, a man entered a store and picked up a keychain. When questioned by the salesperson, the man pocketed the keychain and displayed a handgun. He asked about other items in the store then left. The suspect is described as a light-skinned B/M, 5’4” tall, 155 lbs, with a full beard and afro-style haircut. He was last seen wearing a red fleece sweatshirt, white gym shorts and boots. ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION, 5/10/2006, 1100 block S. Hayes St., At approximately 1830 hrs on 05/10/06, a 14-year old female who had been crying was approached by a man. He asked her to go with him and told her “I can make you feel better”. The man then tried to grab the girl’s arm but she pulled away from him and the man fled. The suspect is described as a B/M in his 20’s, 6’ tall, 220 lbs, with long dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a white and red basketball jersey, baggy jeans and a baseball cap. FELONY ELUDING, 5/10/2006, 3100 block Arlington Boulevard, At approximately 2345 hrs on 05/10/06 an officer attempted to stop a vehicle registered to a man wanted on a charge of Attempted Malicious Wounding of a Police Officer. The driver fled into D.C. where he was eventually stopped by Arlington and Metropolitan Police Department officers. The driver attempted to run over an MPDC officer and was shot in the chest by an Arlington officer. The driver continued to flee for a few blocks then was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit. The driver’s injuries are not life-threatening. Arrested was Dale Leroy Morehouse, 43, of no fixed address. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 5/9/2006, 4800 block N. Washington Boulevard, Between 2355 hrs on 05/08/06 and 0745 hrs on 05/09/06 someone entered a screened room attached to a house by cutting the screen on the door. A motorcycle in the room was moved several feet but nothing was reported stolen. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 5/9/2006, 2300-3200 blocks Columbia Pike,1000 block S. Edgewood St. At 0247 hrs on 05/09/06 a police officer discovered similar graffiti on six area businesses. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 5/7/2006, 1700 block N. Kensington St., Between 0540 hrs and 1506 hrs on 05/05/06, someone entered an apartment through a bathroom window and took a DVD player, compact discs, cash, jewelry, and a nail gun. Glebe Rd., Between 220 hours on May 3 and 0700 hours on May 4, an unknown subject(s) entered the club room at a local apartments complex and managed to destroy several pieces of furniture. Hayes Street, On May 3 at about 1420 hours, a male victim was talking on his cell phone when a juvenile male walked up to him and attempted to take his cell phone out of his hand. The man demanded their money and they complied. The man fled on foot. MALICOUS WOUNDING WITH A CAUSTIC SUBSTANCE, 4/29/2006, 2200 blk N. Pershing Dr., At approximately 0155hrs on 04/29/06, a man and a woman had an argument at a bar. During the argument, the woman sprayed the man with pepper spray. Denise Ann Baker, 36yo, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding with a caustic substance. She was being held on a $5,000 bond. ATTEMPTED SEXUAL ASSAULT, 4/28/2006, 5200 block Columbia Pike, At approximately 2330hrs on 04/28/06, a woman at a bus stop was approached by a man who asked her for sex. When the woman refused the man pushed her to the ground and exposed himself. He then got on top of her, lifted her shirt and fondled her. The victim was able to fight the man off and flee. The suspect is described as a W/H/M with short hair. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 4/28/2006, 5600 blk S. 7th Rd., Between 0935hrs and 1440hrs on 04/28/06, unknown person(s) entered the victims’ home through a ground floor window and took cash, jewelry, a digital camera, and a bottle of liquor. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 4/28/2006, 300 blk S. Glebe Rd., Three Mercedes owners reported that someone removed the hood ornaments from their cars in the last few days. ARMED ROBBERY, 4/28/2006, 2400 blk S. 27th Ct., At approximately 2150hrs on 04/28/06, a woman driving into her apartment building’s garage was followed by a man in a car. Once in the building, the man forced the woman into her apartment at gunpoint and robbed her of cash, jewelry and a laptop computer. The suspect then fled on foot. The suspect is described as WHM, approx. 30-40yo, 5’7”, wearing blue jeans and a black shirt. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 3/26/2006, 4200 blk Wilson Blvd., At approximately 2325hrs on 04/26/06 two men got into a fight at a bar. One man hit the other man over the head with a bottle and repeatedly punched him in the head. John Eric Gibson, 35yo, of Seneca, SC, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 4/26/2006, 4200 BLK Wilson Blvd., On April 26 at approximately 2325 hours, a fight broke out between two males. One of the male hit the other with a beer bottle over the head causing the victim to sustain large cuts. Arrested is a John Eric Gibson,B/M, 35 YOA and resides at 119 Hawk Blvd, Seneca, SC. Gibson was charged with malicious wounding and held without bond. Also arrested was an Arthur Jerome Scott, B/M, 37 YOA and resides at 116 Holliday Ln, Pendleton, SC. Scott was charged with obstruction of justice and held on $2000 bond. UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 4/26/2006, 400 BLK Old Jefferson Davis Hwy., Between 0800 hours on April 17 and 1500 hours on April 26, an unknown subject(s) cut the fence to the Police Impound lot. Nothing was reported taken. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 4/25/2006, 300 BLK N. Thomas Street, On April 22nd between 200 hours and 2100 hours, and subject(s) entered the apartment through a window. The apartment was found ransacked. An undisclosed amount of cash, two portable CD players and a set of house keys was taken. HOMICIDE, 4/22/2006, 5100 BLK Columbia Pike, On April 22nd at approximately 0012 hours, the male victim and a female victim were standing outside their apartment when two males approached them and asked to use a phone. When the victims refused, both males produced switchblades and demanded the female victim’s purse. The male victim was stabbed in the chest area and the suspect fled. The victim succumbed to his injury. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 4/18/2006, 5000 BLK Columbia Pike, At 1340 hours on April 18th, an unknown subject pulled up to two females and flashed two twenty dollar bill and asked them if they wanted to make quick money. The victims noticed that the driver was naked from the waist down. The victim quickly called the police and the suspect left. The suspect is described as a W/M in his 50’s with grey hair and light complexion. LSW sunglasses, straw hat and light blue jean shirt. The vehicle is described as a light blue van. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 4/18/2006, 2600 BLK Jefferson Davis Hwy., Between 1830 hours on April 17 and 0630 hours on April 18, an unknown subject(s) pried open several doors to an office space. Taken were two laptop computers and an undisclosed amount of cash. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 4/17/2006, 500 BLK N. Thomas Street, On April 17 at approximately 1521 hours, two females were walking when they noticed a blue Toyota Tacoma Pick-up truck. Inside the truck the victims observed a male sitting in the driver seat talking on a cell phone and masturbating with the other hand. The victims confronted the male and the subject exited his vehicle, took off the front temp tag and drove off. The suspect is described as an H/M in his 30’s, about 5’3, 170 lbs, black hair and medium complexion. LSW a gray t-shirt and blue jeans. The temp tag on the vehicle is from VA. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 4/17/2006, 800 BLK N. Pollard Street, Between 1700 hours on April 16 and 0900 hours on April 17, an unknown person(s) entered the front desk office and back room and took an undisclosed amount of cash, a computer monitor, and a projector. PEEPING TOM, 4/16/2006, 1000 BLK N. Edgewood Street On April 16th at about 2300 hours, a female reported that she observed an unknown male looking through her bathroom window and watching her as she was going to the bathroom. The suspect is described as a W/M, between 18-20 YOA and LSW a red baseball type cap. NFI. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 4/16/2006, 2000 BLK N.Quinn Street On April 16th at approximately 1645 hours, a male, known to the resident, pushed his way past a child who tried to close the door on him. The male entered the apartment and began to change into cloths not belonging to him. The police were called and they located the suspect sitting on the couch. The suspect was taken into custody. Arrested is an Evelio Lopez-Flores, 22 YOA, of Arlington, VA. Lopez-Flores was charged with burglary and petit larceny. Lopez-Flores was held on $2500 bond. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 4/14/2006, 5500 BLK Columbia Pike On April 14th at approximately 2316 hours, a male victim was attacked by 4-5 males as he left his apartment. No reason provided. The victim was struck in the head with a beer bottle causing a laceration. Later, the police located two males who were ID as part of the group that attacked the victim. Arrestee # is identified as Tilo Geovany Salmeron-Garcia, 18 YOA, of Manassas, VA. Arrestee #2 is ID as Carlos Luis Rivera, 21 YOA, of Arlington, VA. Salmeron-Garcia was charged with malicious wounding. Rivera was charged with malicious wounding and possession of marijuana. Both men were held without bond. Both Salmeron-Garcia and the victim were treated for cuts. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 4/14/2006, 2700 BLK S. Quincy Street On April 14th, between 0240 hours and 0630 hours, an unknown person(s) entered a local restaurant and took an undisclosed amount of cash from a safe and a LCD computer monitor. There were no signs of forced entry. PEEPING TOM, 4/14/2006, 1600 BLK N. Quinn Street, On April 12th at about 0150 hours a male was caught peeping into the window of the families’ residence. A subject was detained not to far from the residence and later arrested. Arrested is a Mauricio Rivera, 39 YOA, of Washington DC. Rivera was charged as a peeping tom. Bond was set at $5000. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 4/12/2006, 4200 BLK S. 16th Street, Between April 7th and April 12, an unknown person broke into a storage room by breaking out the plastic panel to a basement door. It appears the subject was only sleeping in the room. Nothing was reported stolen. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 4/11/2006, 1700 BLK N. Wakefield Street, On April 11th between 1730 and 20 50 hours, an unknown subject(s) entered the victim residence thru a rear patio door. Several items were missing. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 4/10/2006, 4000 BLK N. Washington Blvd., On April 10th at about 1450 hours, after parking her vehicle, the victim heard a knock from an adjacent apartment building. The victim observed a male at the window with his genitals exposed. ROBBERY, 4/10/2006, 5200 BLK S. 8th Road, On April 10th at about 1101 hours, a male victim was robbed by three males as he attempted to leave in his vehicle. Several money orders and one check were taken. Suspect #1 is described as a B/M about 5’3, black hair and a beard, medium complexion. LSW a green sweatshirt and dark pants. Suspect #2 is described as a B/M, about 5’9, black hair and medium complexion, LSW a red and white sweatshirt and dark pants. Suspect #3 is described as a B/M, about 6’0 and LSW dark clothing. ROBBERY, 4/7/2006, 1200 BLK S. Columbus Street, On April 7th at about 1720 hours, a female victim was pushed to the ground and her purse was stolen by an unknown male who had approached her from a van. The van is described as dark in color. The suspect is described as a B/M, between 20-30 YOA, 5’6 160 lbs.LSW blue jeans and a dark ski mask. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 4/9/2006, 2300 BLK N. 11th Street, On April 9th at about 0230 hours, a fight broke out between two neighbors. The fight escalated into a physical altercation in which the victim received a severe laceration to his right eye and a smaller laceration to his left eye. The victim was transported to Arlington Hospital for treatment and observation. Arrested is a Uuganbayar Khurelchuluun. A/M, 28 YOA, of Arlington, VA. Khurelchuluun was charged with malicious wounding and held w/o bond. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 4/8/2006, 3100 BLK Clarendon Blvd., At 0039 hours on April 8th a male victim, working for at a local establishment as security, was assaulted by a patron who was intoxicated. After an attempt to get the patron to leave, an altercation took place in which the patron punched and bit the security personnel. The victim was transported to Arlington Hospital and treated. Arrested is a Josh Phillip Counts, W/M, 25 YOA, of Arlington, VA. Counts was charged with malicious wounding. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 4/8/2006, 2000 BLK Wilson Blvd., At 0109 hours on April 8th, an argument between two females occurred when one of them tried to cut in line to use the bathroom at a local night club. The argument escalated into a physical confrontation when one of the females struck the other female with a glass. The victim sustained a laceration to the forehead and was transported to Arlington Hospital. Arrested is a Amy Kryzanowsky, W/F, 25 YOA, of Alexandria, VA. Kryzanowsky was charged with malicious wounding and released on her own recognizance. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 4/7/2006, 2200 BLK N. Roosevelt Street, Between 0800 hours and 2100 hours on April 7th, an unknown person(s) entered the residence by breaking the bathroom window. Multiple items, including tools, watches, DVD’s and a Play Station were taken. ROBBERY, 4/6/2006, 4300 BLK N. Carlin Springs Road, At 2246 hours on April 6, a female victim was walking home when she was approached by two males. One male grabbed both her arms and forced her to the ground. Once on the ground, the suspect pulled her purse from her arms and fled on foot. In the purse she had an undisclosed amount of cash and a credit card. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 4/5/2006, 2200 BLK Wilson Blvd., Between 1930 hours on April 4th and 0730 hours on April 5th, an unknown subject(s) entered a local business, and took various computer equipment. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 4/5/2006, 2200 BLK Wilson Blvd., Between 2130 hours on April 4th and 0720 hours on April 5th, an unknown person(s) gained access to a local business, and stole assorted computer and electronic equipment. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 4/5/2006, 2200 BLK Wilson Blvd., Between 1900 hours on April 4th and 0720 hours on April 5th, an unknown person(s) gained entry to a local business by an unknown method and stole assorted computer equipment. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 4/4/2006, 5200 BLK Lee Hwy. Between 2300 hours on April 3rd and 0600 hours on April 4th an unknown person(s) pried open a closed door to a bank construction site and stole various tools. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 4/4/2006, 2000 BLK Clarendon Blvd. Between 1100 hours and 1430 hours, a male broke into a local bar and consumed some food and alcohol. The male suspect was also in possession of items belonging to the bar and the manager. Arrested is a Garland McLoud Hall AKA James L. Chapman, W/M, with no fix address. Hall was charged with burglary, grand larceny and destruction of property. Hall was held on $2500 bond. ROBBERY, 4/4/2006, 800 BLK Army Navy Drive On April 4th at approximately 2140 hours, two, males approached a female victim while she was walking to her car. As they approached her, they yelled for her to give them her bags. The suspects were able to snatch a purse out of her hand and ripped a backpack off her back. A watch and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken. Both suspects were described as being about 18 YOA, between 5’8 and 5’11 and 150 lbs and 175 lbs. Two suspects were identified. ROBBERY, 4/4/2006, 4300 BLK 2nd Road, On April 4th at about 2130 hours, a female victim was walking home when she was approached by two males. One of the males struck the victim in the face which caused her to fall to the ground. Taken was a purse containing miscellaneous items.
