ATTEMPT ARMED ROBBERY 3/31/2004, 4300 blk Arlington Blvd., At approximately 2255hrs on 03/31/04, the 65YO male victim was walking westbound on the sidewalk in the 4300 blk of Arlington Blvd when subject #01 grabbed him. The victim struck subject #01 with his umbrella, until he realized subject #01 was holding a black handgun. Two more subjects appeared and hit the victim in the face, demanding money. The victim broke free and the subjects fled in an unknown direction. Suspects: #01, WM, Hispanic, 19 21YO, 57, short black hair, medium complexion, muscular, wearing dark clothing; #02 & #03, M, 19 21YO, 57, spoke Spanish, wearing dark clothing and a black stocking over head.
RECOVERED STOLEN AUTO/ELUDING/HIT & RUN 3/31/2004, 3000 blk S. 19th St., At approximately 2101hrs on 03/30/04, units were dispatched to the 3000 blk of S. 19th St. for a stolen auto that was reportedly in the area. An officer located the vehicle, and while waiting for back-up units, a subject entered the vehicle and left the area. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver eluded their attempts, striking a guardrail and then an oncoming vehicle. The driver fled from the vehicle on foot, and was apprehended by officers. A K9 track yielded cocaine, which the subject had discarded during the foot chase. The subject was transported to the hospital for medical treatment, and arrested after medical clearance. Warrants were obtained for Grand Larceny Auto, Eluding, and Felony Hit & Run. The subject's identity is unknown at this time.
ROBBERY 3/30/2004, 1500 blk S. 28th St., At approximately 2300hrs on 03/30/04, a pizza delivery driver was on delivery to the 1500 blk of S. 28th St. when he was approached by two subjects. One subject grabbed the vicitim, a 35YO male, by the neck and demanded money. The second subject removed the victims wallet and some cash from his pockets. The subjects left the area on foot. The subjects are described as: #01, BM, 20YO, 58, 165lbs, wearing a black hooded coat and a mask; #02, WM, Hispanic, 15Yo, 54, 130lbs, also wearing a black hooded coat and a mask.
ABDUCTION 3/30/2004, 300 blk N. Glebe Rd., At approximately 1725hrs on 03/30/04, the victim, a 31YO female, was shopping in the 300 blk of N. Glebe Rd. when an unknown subject approached her and pulled her to the rear of a nearby building. A bystander observed the incident, intervened, and called police. Responding officers located a subject in the area matching the description provided by the witness, the subject was identified and arrested. ARRESTED: Ernesto Sanchez-Cortez, 33YO, of the 400 blk of N. Thomas St. A warrant was obtained for Abduction with Intent to Defile.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 3/29/2004, 200 blk N. Thomas St., Between 2100hrs on 03/26/04 and 1500hrs on 03/29/04, an unknown subject(s) made entry to the apartment through a locked front door, possibly by kicking it. Televisions, a VCR, a stereo and equipment were stolen.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 3/28/2004, unit blk S. Irving St., Between 2130hrs on 03/26/04 and 2130hrs on 03/28/04, an unknown subject(s) made entry to the residence through a locked front door. A radio and a box containing pocket change were stolen.
ROBBERY 3/29/2004, 3000 blk S. Glebe Rd., At approximately 0115hrs on 03/29/04, the victim was walking south,listening to radio headphones, in the 3000 blk of S. Glebe Rd.,when three subjects approached him from behind. One subject grabbed the victim, pulling him to the ground, then punched him on his forehead and demanded his wallet. The victim complied, and the subjects left in a dark colored four-door vehicle. The suspects are described as: #01, BM 56 510, dark knit cap and gray sweater; #02 & #03, 2WM, Hispanic, 19 22 YO, wearing blue jeans and white sweatshirts.
ROBBERY 3/24/2004, 2300 blk N. 11th St., At approximately 2150hrs on 03/24/04, the victim was walking in the 2300 blk of N. 11th St when three subjects approached and followed him, taunting and assaulting him as he tried to flee. The subjects took the victims coat, which was recovered in a dumpster nearby. Possible suspects were stopped and identified regarding the incident. The investigation in ongoing.
BURGLARY 3/24/2004, 1200 blk N. Scott St., Between 1720hrs and 1800hrs on 03/24/04, an unknown subject(s) entered the residence through an unlocked sliding glass door and stole a Sony Playstation, games, and DVDs.
ROBBERY 3/23/2004, 300 blk N. Glebe Rd., At approximately 0900 hrs on 03/23/04, a subject knocked on the victims door, inquiring about a neighbor in an upstairs apartment. The victim invited the subject into his apartment. Once inside, the subject asked the victim for money then opened a bag that the victim was carrying. He removed a coin purse and took cash, as the victim protested and struggled with the subject. The suspect left on foot towards the Ballston area. The suspect is described as a BM, 30s, 58, 200lbs, wearing blue pants, a blue t-shirt, and a light (possibly blue) jacket.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 3/21/2004, 1800 blk N. Moore St., At approximately 0344 hrs on 03/21/04, officers responded to the 1800 blk of N. Moore St for a burglary alarm and discovered that the front window of a business was broken. A K-9 search of the business yielded no suspects. The owner arrived and reported that 29 cartons of cigarettes were missing. There is no suspect description.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING 3/21/2004, 3100 blk Columbia Pike, At approximately 0218 hrs on 03/21/04, the victims were followed to the 3100 blk of Columbia Pike by two subjects with whom they had just had an altercation on the dance floor at a local restaurant. The subjects challenged the victims to a fight, and then one subject produced a hammer from his vehicle. The victims attempted to flee on foot, but a fistfight ensued. During the fight, one victim was struck with the hammer, resulting in a fractured facial bone. Arrested for Malicious Wounding: Frezer G. Woldesillassie, 20, of the 5400 blk of Barrister Pl. in Alexandria.
ROBBERY 3/19/2004, 1600 blk N. Adams St., At approximately 2342hrs on 03/19/04, the victim was walking north in the 1600 blk of N. Adams St when a subject knocked her down to the ground and grabbed her purse. The victim struggled with the subject until the subject pointed an unknown shiny metal object at her, at which point she released her purse. The subject fled on foot. The suspect is described as BM, 510 to 6, wearing a dark-colored down parka and dark pants.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY 3/18/2004, 4800 blk Columbia Pike, At approximately 0318 hrs, officers responded to a local hospital to meet with a victim of an attempted robbery. The victim reported that a subject demanded money from him, then struck him on the head with a broken bottle when he refused to comply. The victim believed he was in the 4800 blk of Columbia Pike when the incident occurred. The suspect is described as a black male.
ROBBERY 3/17/2004, 1500 blk Arlington Blvd., At approximately 0510 hrs on 03-17-04, the suspect jumped over the front counter, broke open the cash drawer and removed cash, at which point he was interrupted by the desk clerk. A struggle ensued, and the clerk and a security guard detained the suspect until police arrived on the scene. Arrested: Arnold Eugene Louallen, 41, who was charged with robbery and failure to identify.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 3/16/2004, 2300 blk S. Eads St., Sometime between 2300hrs and 2345hrs on 03/15/04, unknown subject(s) entered an office and removed several items including a laptop computer and an undisclosed amount of cash.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 3/15/2004, 3200 blk S. Columbia Pike, Sometime between 1930hrs on 03/14/04 and 0915hrs on 03/15/04, unknown subject(s) entered a business and stole several temporary license tags. Entry was made by forcing open a door.
ARMED ROBBERY 3/15/2004, 400 blk N. George Mason Dr., At approximately 1315hrs on 03/15/04, four unknown male subjects wearing masks knocked on the victims door and then forced their way into the residence. One of the subjects displayed a handgun and demanded money. The subjects bound and blindfolded the victims, a 27yo male and a 24yo male, before ransacking the residence. The subjects eventually left with an undisclosed amount of cash. All four suspects are described as WM, Hispanic, wearing dark clothing.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING 3/13/2004, 4100 blk N. 4th St., At approximately 2153hrs, the victim, a 24yo male, knocked on the door of an acquaintance and reported that he had been cut on his stomach. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 3/13/2004, 200 blk S. Carlin Springs Rd., At approximately 1058hrs on 03/13/04, a witness reported seeing an unknown male subject enter a school by climbing through a window. Responding officers located and arrested a 16yo male subject in the school. The suspects identity is being withheld due to his age.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 3/13/2004, 2800 blk S. Crystal Dr., Sometime between 1600hrs on 03/12/04 and 0620hrs on 03/13/04, unknown subject(s) entered an office and removed several items including keys, tools and electronic equipment. One of the keys was used to steal a vehicle. Entry was apparently made through a window.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY 3/12/2004, 1200 blk S. Eads St., At approximately 2015hrs, the victim, a 39yo female, was approached by an unknown male subject who grabbed her purse. The subject knocked the victim to the ground and dragged her for a short distance before fleeing the scene without the purse. The subject then got into a waiting vehicle that fled the scene heading north on Fern St. The suspect is described as a BM, mid 20s, approx. 58, 160lbs, wearing all dark clothing and a dark knit cap. The suspect vehicle is described as a dark 2-door compact car.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 3/11/2004, 100 blk S. Irving St., Sometime between 1030hrs and 1930hrs on 03/11/04, unknown subject(s) entered a home and removed several items including a TV, VCR and laptop computer. Entry was made by forcing open the front door.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 3/10/2004, 5000 blk N. Wilson Blvd., Sometime between 2200hrs on 03/09/04 and 1100hrs on 03/10/04, unknown subject(s) broke into a freezer and stole several boxes of frozen food.
ACCIDENT 3/8/2004, 4200 blk S. Columbia Pike, At approximately 0736hrs on 03/08/04, a driver backed over a gas pump at a service station while trying to position her vehicle, causing the pump and vehicle to burst into flames. The Arlington County Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. There were no injuries and the driver was not cited.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 3/8/2004, 1100 blk N. Glebe Rd., Sometime between 1030hrs on 03/06/04 and 1030hrs on 03/07/04, unknown subject(s) entered a suite by prying open a door. Nothing appeared to be missing.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 3/7/2004, 2300 blk S. Arlington Ridge Rd., At approximately 1512hrs on 03/07/04, the victim confronted an unknown male subject in her home. The subject left the residence when confronted, and the victim later noticed that her purse was missing. The subject is described as a BM, approx. 6'2", 120lbs, wearing blue jeans and a dark-colored shirt.

George Mason Dr., On 2/26/04 at 4pm, the victim, a 9yo female, was walking home when she was approached by an unknown male subject who made unwanted comments to her about her body. The subject is described as a white male, 20yo, 59/150, dark bushy hair, dark eyes, wearing a white T-shirt and baggy blue jeans.
INDECENT EXPOSURE 3/2/2004, 1000 block N. Stafford St., On 3/2/04 between 4:50pm and 5pm, the victim, a 24yo female, was leaving her residence when she noticed a male subject in the area exposing himself. The subject was detained by responding officers and identified. However, he was released after the victim refused to follow through with prosecution.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING 3/1/2004, 500 block N. Glebe Rd., On 3/1/04 at 4pm, the victim, a 27yo male, was walking towards the bus stop when an unknown male subject approached him. The subject asked him a question and then proceeded to assault him with a sharp object. The subject is described as a Hispanic male, 530, wearing a blue button-down shirt, blue jeans and dark colored sneakers.

ROBBERY 3/1/2004, 2400 block S. Jefferson Davis Hwy., On 3/1/04 at 11:15pm, an unknown subject entered the business, produced a sharp object and demanded the clerk hand over cigarettes. The clerk complied and the subject fled on foot. The subject is described as a black male, 20-30yo, 6210-220lbs, wearing loose blue jeans, dark sweatshirt and dark glasses.
ROBBERY 2/22/2004, 5800 block N. Washington Blvd., On 2/22/04 between 11:30pm and 2am, the victim, a 36yo male, was approached from behind by an unknown subject who hit him over the head and stole his wallet.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY AND RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/29/2004, 4400 block N. Pershing Dr., On 2/29/04 at about 11:25pm, the victim, a 26yo male, was walking home when he was approached by two unknown male subjects. One subject asked for money while the other subject punched the victim in the face. The victim fled to a neighbors home and the suspects followed, breaking into the apartment. A fight ensued and the subjects fled on foot. Responding officers were able to apprehend both subjects in the area. Both subjects were arrested and identified as Jesus Homberto Aravelo Granados, 23yo, of Arlington and Juan Carlos Garcia, 20yo of Annandale, VA.
ROBBERY, 2/29/2004, 4300 block S. 16th St., On 2/29/04 at about 6:40pm, the victim, a 36yo female, was walking to the bus stop when an acquaintance pushed her to the ground and stole money from her. The subject then fled on foot and is described as a black male, tall, 36-37yo, wearing jeans and a red shirt possibly named Brian.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/28/2004, 5900 block S. Arlington Blvd., Between 11pm on 2/27/04 and 8:30pm on 2/28/04, an unknown subject(s) entered the residence and stole electronic equipment.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2/28/2004, 900 block N. Stafford St., On 2/28/04 at 1:06am, the victim, a 14yo male, was attacked by a group of unknown male subjects. Responding officers stopped a suspect vehicle fleeing the area. Detectives interviewed the occupants of the suspect vehicle and two subjects were arrested. The arrested subjects were identified as Hav Trung Le, 21yo, of Falls Church and Yves Nino Guidry, 18yo of Arlington, VA.
ARMED ROBBERY AND SEXUAL ASSAULT, 2/27/2004, 900 block S. Clark St., On 2/27/04 between 3am and 3:20am, the victim, a 19yo female, was sexually assaulted and robbed of her belongings by an unknown male subject. The subject is described as a black male, 21-27yo, 150-170lbs, about 57, medium to dark skinned, short hair and an angular face, wearing a waist length black jacket, blue jeans and timberland boots. The suspect vehicle is described as an early to mid-90s Nissan Maxima, black, 4door, with a sunroof. The vehicle had VA license plates with possible letters KK.
ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/25/2004, 2900 block N. Franklin Rd., On 2/25/04 at about 5:30pm, a subject attempted to gain entry to the residence. The homeowner notified police and responding officers apprehended the subject. The arrested subject was identified as James Felts, age 35, of Arlington, VA.
ROBBERY, 2/25/2004, 1100 block S. Hayes St., On 2/25/04 at 10:25am, an unknown subject entered a jewelry store and asked to see a specific piece of jewelry. Once shown the jewelry, the suspect threatened the clerk and fled with the merchandise. The suspect is described as a black male, 58/200, about 40yo, wearing a brown jacket with a dark hood.
ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/25/2004, 4400 block N. Pershing Dr., On 2/25/04 between 6:30pm and 6:45pm, an unknown male subject, entered the residence and was confronted by the homeowner. The subject then fled on foot and is described as a Hispanic male, 20-30yo, 60-61, 140-150, wearing a tan jacket, baggy blue jeans and a black knit cap.

ROBBERY 2/23/2004, 1700 block S. Edgewood St., On 2/23/04 at 7:15am, the victim, a 13yo male, was jumped from behind by two unknown male subjects. The subjects stole the victim? coat and then fled on foot. Both subjects are described as Hispanic males, 5 wearing black ski masks, white t-shirts, blue jeans and black boots.
ARMED ROBBERY 2/23/2004, 5200 block S. Columbia Pike, On 2/23/04 at 0:52am, the victim, an 18yo male, was walking in the area when two unknown male subjects approached him. One subject produced a handgun and ordered the victim to hand over his money. The victim complied and the subjects fled on foot. Subject #1 is described as a black male, 19-25yo, 56130-150, wearing a black puffy jacket, blue jeans and a gray baseball cap. Subject #2 is described as a black male.
BRANDISHING OF A FIREARM 2/22/2004, 2700 block N. Wilson Blvd., On 2/22/04 at 3:15pm, the victim, a 29yo male, approached an officer in the area to report that a subject still on scene had pointed a handgun at him. The subject was subsequently arrested for brandishing and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The arrested subject was identified as Ellis, Keith Mcclellan, age 66, with no fixed address.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 2/22/2004, 5900 block N. Lee Highway, Sometime between 2/14/04 and 2/22/04, an unknown subject(s) broke into the residence and stole a DVD player.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 2/22/2004, 3200 block N. Wilson Blvd., Between 1:20am and 4:30am on 2/22/04, an unknown subject(s) broke into the business and stole a safe.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 2/21/2004, 4000 block N. 25th St., Between 5:30pm on 2/20/04 and 1:30am on 2/21/04, an unknown subject broke into the residence and stole jewelry, clothes and a computer.
SEXUAL ASSAULT 2/21/2004, 2800 block N. Clarendon Blvd., On 2/21/04 between 3:30am and 5am, the victim, a 22yo female, was given a car ride home by two unknown male subjects who later sexually assaulted her in her home. Subject #1 is described as a black male, mid 20s, 60, wearing jeans, a white button down shirt, and a brown leather jacket. Subject #2 is described as a black male, 20s, 57-510, wearing a leather jacket and dark pants.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 2/21/2004, 1300 block N. Quincy St., Sometime between 9:30pm on 2/20/04 and 5:30am on 2/21/04, an unknown subject broke into the building and stole a safe.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (MULITPLE), 2/20/2004, 5200 block S. 6th Pl., On 2/20/04 between 7:30pm and 8:22pm, 8 vehicles were found with their tires slashed.
ENTICEMENT 2/20/2004, 2900 block N. Sycamore St., On 2/20/04 between 4pm and 4:30pm, the victim, a 17yo female, was walking home when she was approached by an unknown male subject who repeatedly asked her to get in his car. The victim ignored him and went to a nearby home for assistance. The subject is described as a black male, late 40s, scruffy, missing his front teeth, with an Afro style haircut. The suspect vehicle is described as an older model car, green in color and missing its rear tag.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 2/20/2004, 200 block S. Carlin Springs Rd., On 2/20/04 at 8:30pm, the building was broken into by 7 juvenile male subjects who were apprehended by responding officers. Juvenile arrest petitions are pending.
BANK ROBBERY 2/20/2004, 1300 block N. Wilson Blvd., On 2/20/04 at 1:54pm, two unknown subjects entered the establishment and robbed it at gunpoint. Both subjects are described as black males, wearing dark colored jackets, dark pants and bandannas. Both subjects fled the scene in a dark colored Honda Civic, with possible MD or VA tags DEY353.
ROBBERY 2/18/2004, 170 N. Columbus St., On 2/18/04 between 3:11am and 3:29am, the victim, a 43yo male cabdriver, was driving to the above location with a passenger when the unknown male subject implied he had a weapon and demanded the victim? money and cell phone. The subject then fled on foot. The subject is described as a white male, 45-50yo, 5with dark hair and a beard, wearing a dark coat and dark pants.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 2/16/2004, 1800 block N. Moore St., Between 10pm on 2/15/04 and 5:20am on 2/16/04, an unknown subject(s) broke into the business and stole multiple cartons of cigarettes.
ARMED ROBBERY 2/14/2004, 2300 block S. 2nd St., On 2/14/04 at 11:32pm, two unknown subjects robbed the business at gunpoint and fled in an awaiting vehicle described as silver, 2 doors, with tinted windows possibly bearing a MD or VA license plate JYY427 or JYY2--. Both subjects are described as white males, 570-180, wearing black ski masks, dark colored jackets and dark pants.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING 2/14/2004, 1200 block N. Queen St., On 2/14/04 at 3:07am, the victim, a 21yo male, was exiting his residence when he was shot in the leg by an unknown subject. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY 2/13/2004, 1000 block S. Columbus St., On 2/13/04 at 10:15pm, the victim, a 60yo male, was walking to work when he was approached by three unknown male subjects. One subject displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim stated he had none and after repeated demands being met with the same response the subjects left the scene. The subjects are described as Hispanic males, 20-25 years old and about 5'6.

ATTEMPTED ARMED CARJACKING 2/5/2004, 602 S. Wayne St., On 2/5/04 at 2am, the victims, a 25yo male and a 25yo female, were sitting in their vehicle when 4 unknown male subjects approached them. One subject shined a flashlight into the vehicle, pointed a handgun at the driver and demanded the victims get out of the car. When the victim did not comply, the subject began firing his weapon at the vehicle. The driver was able to drive away without injury. The first subject is described as a black male, 17-19yo, 530-140, with dreadlocks in his hair, wearing a purple bandanna on his face and dark clothing. The three other subjects were also described as black males, 17-19yo, wearing all dark clothing.

SEXUAL ASSAULT AND ARMED ROBBERY 1/13/2004, 4200 block N. 2nd Rd., On 1/13/04 at about 3:20am, officers responded to a reported break-in at an apartment at the above location. The subject had entered the residence where he committed robbery and sexual assault. The four victims, two 21yo females and three 21yo males, were able to overpower him and call police. Eighteen-year-old Michael Lynn Stewart of the unit block of N. Thomas St. was charged with robbery and rape.
