ARSON, 3/31/2006, 1300 BLK S. Thomas Street, Between 0200 hours and 0434 hours on March 31, an unknown person(s) set fire to several trash dumpsters. One fire was set near 3100 BLK Columbia Pike, a second fire was found near 3200 BLK Columbia Pike and the third fire was found 1600 BLK S. Walter Reed Drive. A fourth fire was found in the 1300 block of S. Thomas Street in which a car was fully engulfed. Fire Department responded and is conducting an investigation.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 3/29/2006, 2200 BLK N. Clarendon Blvd., Between 0615 hours and 1645 hours on March 29th, an unknown person(s) entered the apartment and took jewelry, foot wear, two laptops, and a digital camera. Entry may have been gained by someone with keys.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 3/28/2006, 900 BLK S. Glebe Road, March 28 at approximately 1926 hours, the victim arrived home and found an unknown male inside. It appears entry may have been gained by way of the rear door, which was found damaged. The victim told the suspect not to move and she called 9-1-1. The suspect left and was later located by the police. The suspect was interviewed by a detective in the burglary Unit. Charged with burglary is a John E. Maxwell, 35 YOA, of no fixed address. Maxwell was held without bond.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 3/28/2006, 2500 BLK N. 20th Road, Between 0700 hours and 1829 hours on March 28, an unknown person(s) entered the victim’s apartment and took a laptop, passport and an undisclosed amount of cash. No signs of forced entry found.

ROBBERY, 3/28/2006, 4200 BLK Wilson Blvd., At 2305 hours on March 27, a male victim entered the men’s restroom at a local mall (4th floor). As he was using one of the urinals, a male exited one of the stales and placed an object against the victim’s back and pushed him forward towards the urinal. The suspect then removed the victim’s wallet and went back to the stall he had come from. The victim then fled. The suspect is described as an H/M, about 25 YOA, about 5’9, 150 lbs, black facial hair and medium complexion. LSW a white t-shirt, and dark pants.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 3/27/2006, 1200 BLK S. Eads Street, At 1021 hours on March 27, a female victim was cleaning the party room at an apartment complex, when a resident (suspect) came up to her and exposed his penis and began to masturbate. The victim called for help and left. A warrant for indecent exposure was issued for Emmanuel Brooks, B/M 34 YOA, of Arlington, VA. Brooks was held without bond.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 3/27/2006, 4200 BLK N. Fairfax Drive, At approximately 0900 hours on March 27, a female victim was riding the ART bus when she noticed the driver watching her in the mirror and masturbating. She verbally confronted the driver at which point he denied the act. The police were notified and a warrant for indecent exposure was issued. Charged is Catalino Vazquez-Quinones, W/H/M, and 59 YOA, from Alexandria, VA.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/27/2006, 3800 BLK N. 7th Street, Between 1600 hours on March 26 and 0820 hours on March 27, a male was found by a maintenance worker, sleeping in the boiler room. Entry was gained through a window. The worker went to get help and by the time he returned the suspect was leaving. The suspect was identified as Randolph James Lokke, W/M, about 55 YOA, 6’4, 210 lbs with brown hair. LSW a blue jacket, blue jeans and gray shoes.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/27/2006, 4000 BLK S. 28th Street, Between 0115 hours and 0355 hours on March 27, an unknown person(s) appears to have tampered with the interior door to the office of a local bistro. Nothing was reported taken.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/27/2006, 3600 BLK S. Columbia Pike, Between 2200 hours on March 26 and 0241 hours on March 27, an unknown subject(s) broke into a local grill. The front door was found shattered. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the cash register.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/25/2006, 800 BLK N. Wayne Street, Between 1500 hours on March 24 and 1530 hours on March 25, an unknown person(s) gained entry into the electrical and gas room at a local apartment complex. Nothing was reported taken, but it appears someone has been living there.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 3/25/2006, 4800 BLK N. 27th Street, At 1207 hours on March 25, two unknown subjects are suspected of kicking a basement door and breaking its window pane. It is unknown if anything was taken. The suspects were seen fleeing in an unknown car. Suspect #1 is described as a B/F, about 5’6, 210 lbs, LSW a blue t-shirt and blue pants. Suspect #2 is described as a male, about 6’3, 200 lbs, LSW a gray sweatshirt.

ARSON, 3/25/2006, 3200 BLK S. Stafford Street, At approximately 0430 hours on March 25, four males were observed leaving the area where a car was seen with a rag on fire and hanging out of the gas tank. The Fire Department was called and they responded. The only descriptors on the suspects are that they are Hispanic.

PEEPING TOM, 3/24/2006, 1200 BLK N. Quinn Street, At approximately 2240 hours on March 24, an unknown male was seen looking through the bathroom window. He was also seen looking through the bedroom window. The female victim said she was calling the police and the suspect fled on foot. The suspect is described as an H/M, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and baseball cap.

ROBBERY, 3/24/2006, 800 BLK S. Arlington Mill Road, At approximately 2140 hours on March 24, a pizza delivery person was robbed by two unknown juveniles. The suspects produced two knives and the victim gave them an undisclosed amount of cash. Suspect #1 is described as a B/M, about 16 YOA, 5’6, thin build. Suspect #2 is described as a B/M, about 16 YOA, 5’4, thin build and wearing a dark bandanna.

CARJACKING, 3/23/2006, 1000 BLK S. Army Navy Drive, At approximately 2141 hours on March 23rd, a female victim had just parked her car when an unknown, armed male appeared. The suspect grabbed her and said “get out, get out.” The suspect got into the car and sped away. The vehicle was equipped with On Star and was later located by an Alexandria Police officer. The suspect attempted to get away and bailed out of the vehicle. Later he was found hiding in a trash can. The suspect is identified as Juan Terell Morris, 18 YOA, of Oxon Hill, MD. Morris was charged with carjacking, possession of a stolen firearm and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Morris was held without bond.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 3/23/2006, 1300 BLK S. Randolph Street, Between 0800 hours and 1830 hours on March 23rd, an unknown subject(s) broke a glass pane to the basement door and gained entry into the residence. Taken were rings and a gold coin.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/23/2006, 5700 BLK Lee Highway, Between 1750 hours on March 22 and 0612 hours on March 23, an unknown person(s) entered a local store through an unlocked rear door, and took and undisclosed amount of cash from the cash drawer.

ROBBERY, 3/23/2006, 2100 BLK Lee Highway, At approximately 0330 hours on March 23rd, two unknown males attempted to take some money from a male victim who was walking on the bike path. No money was taken and no injuries reported. Both suspects are described as H/M’s, about 5’0, with a stocky build. Possible tattoos but no details.

ARMED ROBBERY, 3/22/2006, 1400 BLK S. Hayes Street, At approximately 1004 hours, patrol officers responded to a local department store for a report of an armed robbery. Two men entered the store soon after it opened, went to the Fine Jewelry section, and asked to see a piece of jewelry. After the clerk brought the item out of the case, one of the men showed her a handgun. The men then grabbed several pieces of jewelry from the case and left the store. Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 25-35 years old, approximately 6’ tall, stocky build, wearing dark pants, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a dark winter jacket and a dark baseball cap. The winter jacket had an intricate white emblem on the back. Suspect #2—the one who showed the handgun—is described as a black male, 25-35 years old, approximately 5’7” tall, average build, wearing light blue jeans, a dark top, a dark winter jacket and a dark hat.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 3/20/2006, 3800 blk N. Dittmar St., 03/20/06, Sometime between 2200hrs on 03/19/06 and 0800hrs on 03/20/06, unknown subject(s) damaged the left-side mirror and/or tires on three vehicles.

ASSAULT WITH A VEHICLE, 3/20/2006, 900 blk N. Jackson St., At approximately 2213hrs on 03/20/06, three women reported that a man in a car briefly talked to them, then attempted to strike them with his vehicle. When the women jumped out of the way, the man hit a parked car, then drove away. The suspect is described as a WM, mid 30s, approx. 6’, skinny build. The vehicle is described as a blue Saab hatchback with VA tags.

BANK ROBBERY, 3/20/2006, 900 blk S. George Mason Dr., At approximately 1453hrs on 03/20/06, a man entered a bank, showed a handgun, and took an undisclosed amount of cash from a teller. The suspect then fled the scene in a black car. The suspect is described as a BM, mid 20s, approx. 5’5”-5’6”, medium build, wearing blue jeans, a blue hooded sweatshirt and a ski-type mask.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 3/16/2006, 2700 blk S. Uhle St., At approximately 2045hrs on 03/16/06, three men became involved in an altercation. One man sprayed the other two with pepper spray. While being sprayed, one of the men swung a claw hammer, injuring the first man in the stomach. All three men were interviewed by detectives, and the incident is still under investigation.

EXPOSURE, 3/16/2006, 1300 blk N. Quincy, Two students reported seeing a man masturbating in the showers at a public pool at approximately 0830hrs on 03/13/06. The man did not approach or address the students in any fashion. The suspect is described as a BM, 50s, approx. 6’3”.

EXPOSURE, 3/13/2006, 1000 blk S. 26th St., A man reported that at approximately 1000hrs on 03/13/06, another man called him over to a vehicle and, during their conversation, exposed his genitals. The suspect then drove away. The suspect is described as a BM, 40s. The vehicle is described as a navy blue truck.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 3/20/2006, 3000 BLK S. 22nd Street, On March 12, an unknown person(s) broke into the victim’s apartment and took a TV.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 3/20/2006, 2300 BLK S. 25th Street, At 2337 hours on March 19, a male and female got into an argument over the use of a phone. The argument escalated to a physical fight resulting in both parties sustaining injuries. The male suspect stabbed the female in the stomach area and the female struck the male with a glass crock pot lid. Both parties were treated for their injuries and both were charged. Arrestee #1 is Francis L. Jackson, B/M, 54 YOA, of Arlington, VA. Jackson was charged with malicious wounding and held w/o bond. Arrestee # 2 is Judith V. Eason, B/F, 52 YOA, of Arlington, VA. Eason was charged with malicious wounding and held w/o bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 3/19/2006, 1600 BLK S. Glebe Road, At 0340 hours on March 19, two roommates got into a fight. The victim received a cut to his head and a cut to his chest. The victim only knows the roommate as “Carlos.” No warrants were obtained due to the lack of additional info on the suspect.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 3/18/2006, 1900 BLK N. Quincy Street, Between October of 2005 and March 18, 2006, an unknown subject(s) entered the victim’s garage and took a chain saw, chain saw case and a floor jack.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/18/2006, 1200 BLK S. Hayes Street, At 0230 hours on March 18, two males gained entry in the mall. A security guard encountered them and questioned why they were there. The men relied that they were there to get their car. They were last seen leaving in a car.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 3/16/2006, 2900 blk S. Woodstock St., Sometime between 0715 and 1815hrs on 03/16/06, unknown subject(s) entered two residences and removed several pieces of jewelry and cash. In both cases, entry was apparently made by forcing open the front door.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 3/16/2006, 900 blk N. Taylor St., Sometime between 03/03/06 and 03/13/06, unknown subject(s) entered a residence and removed several pieces of jewelry. There were no signs of forced entry.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 3/16/2006, 1700 blk N. Moore St., At approximately 0910hrs on 03/16/06, a man reported that he was approached by another man in a restroom. The suspect made sexually suggestive remarks to the victim, then exposed his genitals. Officers located the suspect in the restroom and arrested him. Michael Gerald Placko, 44yo, of no fixed address, was charged with indecent exposure. He is currently in jail on a $1,000 bond.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 3/14/2006, 5000 BLK Columbia Pike, On March 14 between 0730 hours and 1700 hours, an unknown subject(s) forced their way into the apartment by removing the bath room window pane. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the victim’s closet.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 3/14/2006, 2500 BLK S. 2nd Street, On March 14 between 0740 and 1630 hours, an unknown person(s) entered the residence through a rear unlocked window using a ladder. The victim’s bedroom door, which had been locked, was forcibly opened and jewelry was taken.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/14/2006, 2700 BLK Wilson Blvd., Between March 11 and March 13, an unknown person(s) forced open the door to the victim’s office. Nothing was reported missing.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 3/13/2006, 4400 BLK N. Pershing Drive, On March 13 at about 0119 hours, a female victim was assaulted after a former boy friend forced his way into her apartment by using a crowbar. The suspect was ID as Elvis Santico, 28 YOA, 5’7, 190 lbs, and lives in Arlington, VA. A warrant for burglary was obtained and the search for the suspects continues.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 3/12/2006, 1300 BLK N. Pierce Street, On March 12 at 1530 hours, a female victim stated that a male neighbor has been exposing his genitals to females. The male stands nude in front of his window and presses himself against the glass. A suspect has been identified but no charges filed.

ARSON, 3/12/2006, 4600 BLK N. Fairfax Drive, Between March 10 and March 12, an unknown subject(s) set fire to a government vehicle that was parked in the garage. No suspect(s) or motive known.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 3/10/2006, 2400 BLK N. Harrison Street, On March 10 at approximately 1558 hours, four (4) males entered a local super market. They entered the market and went into an “employee only” area. There they encountered the victims who are employees of the market. A verbal confrontation occurred and it escalated into the victims being stabbed. The suspects and the victims know each other.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/10/2006, 2200 BLK Wilson Blvd., Between 1800 hours on March 9 and 0645 hours on March 10, an unknown subject(s) gained entry into the parking attendant kiosk. No signs of forced entry found. Taken was a laptop computer and a swipe card for time clock.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 3/9/2006, 2200 BLK N. Harrison Street, Between 1400 hours and 1800 hours on March 9th, it is believed that four (4) individuals entered the residence through an unlocked front door. Taken was a bottle of peppermint schnapps, a Sony Play Station, one controller and one game CD. The police later identified the suspects. A pre-petition for a male juvenile was filed. Petitions/warrants are pending for the others.

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 3/9/2006, 4200 BLK Wilson Blvd., On March 9th at approximately 1004 hours, a male suspect entered a local jewelry store and asked to look at an engagement ring. When the store employee produced the ring, the suspect took it from her hand and fled. The suspect is described as B/M, in his 20’s, about 5’8, and about 170 lbs, “bushy” eyebrows and a goatee. LSW a black hat, blue jacket, black pants and gloves.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 3/8/2006, 1000 BLK S. Glebe Road, On March 8 at about 1709 hours, two males got into a verbal argument that eventually escalated into a physical confrontation. The male victim was stabbed in the abdomen area. The victim was taken to a local hospital. The suspect fled but was later arrested after a traffic stop. Arrested is a Dwain Fitzpatrick Caleb, B/M, 26 YOA, from Forrestville, MD. Caleb was charged with malicious wounding and held without bond.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/8/2006, 1800 BLK N. Fort Myer Drive, Between March 7 at 2300 hours and March 8 at 0031 hours, an unknown subject(s) shattered the front glass door to a local gas station. No entry was gained. Nothing reported missing.

ASSAULT BY MOB, 3/7/2006, 5700 BLK S. Fourth Street, On March 7th at approximately 1800 hours, four juvenile males assaulted a male juvenile by punching, kicking and pushing him. The four suspects may have ties to the Bloods street gang and the victim is a MS13 member. All four suspects were located and petitions are pending.

STRONG ARM ROBBERY, 3/5/2006, 4800 BLK Columbia Pike, On March 4th at about 2330 hours, a male victim was exiting a local restaurant when he was approached by six (6) males, who grabbed him. The victim was assaulted by two of the six and his backpack taken. The two that assaulted the victim were located and arrested. Arrestee # 1 is Morris Gonzalez, 29 YOA, H/M, from Alexandria, VA. Arrestee #2 is Jose Romero, 27 YOA, H/M, from Alexandria, VA. Both were charged with A/B and held w/o bond. Robbery charges are pending.

ATTEMPT MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 3/3/2006, 900 BLK N. Stuart Street, On March 3rd at approximately 1950 hours, a male entered a local restaurant and became disruptive. The male suspect was asked to leave several times. The suspect refused and took out a knife and placed it at the victim’s abdomen, back and neck. He threatened to harm the victim if he called the police. An employee in the restaurant kicked the suspect and was able to take the knife. The suspect was held till the police arrived. Arrested is a Mounir Aguizoul, W/M, 35 YOA and resides at 901 N. Randolph Street #1925 Arlington, VA. Aguizoul was charged with attempt malicious wounding and held w/o bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 3/2/2006, 4500 BLK S. 31st Street, On February 2nd at approximately 1150 hours two females got into an argument over the two of them living in the same apartment. The argument escalated to where one of the females struck the other with a metal burner grate. The victim received a cut on her head that resulted in a medic unit being called. The victim was treated at a local hospital and released. Arrested is a Lili Marlene Ramos-Romero, 28 YOA, of Arlington, VA. Ramos-Romero was held without bond. Additionally, she was charged with possession of false identification.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 2/28/2006, 200 BLK N. Glebe Road, Between 1600 hours and 0720 hours on February 27th, a total of seven (7) vehicles had been damaged (broken windows) by what appears to be a pellet gun.

BURGLARY (SCHOOL), 2/27/2006, 800 BLK S. Walter Reed Drive, Between February 25th and February 27th, an unknown subject(s) entered a school through an unsecured window in the boys’ locker room. Taken were four (4) computers, four (4) flat panel monitors and one (1) power strip.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/27/2006, 2500 BLK N. 20th Road, On February 27th between 0800 hours and 2010 hours, an unknown person(s) entered the apartment through an unsecured window. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken as well as electronic equipment.

ARMED ROBBERY, 2/27/2006, 1100 BLK S. Hayes Street, On February 27th between 1330 hours and 1400 hours, two male victims were in a local store when another male approached them and convinced them that he could give them a better deal on shoes. The victims agreed to buy from the suspect. They went outside the mall and the suspect produced a handgun and robbed the victims of an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is described as a B/M, possibly known as “T”, in his 20’s, 5’6, 150-160 lbs, dark complexion and LSW a black knit hat, black Northface jacket, white jersey and black shoes.

ARMED ROBBERY, 2/27/2006, 5000 BLK Columbia Pike, On February 27th at approximately 0124 hours, a male victim was approached by a male who asked for a ride. Once inside the car, the male suspect pulled out a knife and held it to the victim’s neck demanding money. The victim stated he had no money. The suspect is described as a B/M, 19 YOA, 5’8, 150 lbs, LSW a black sweat shirt with a hood and black pants.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2/26/2006, 4500 BLK S. Four Mile Run Drive, On February 26th at about 1800 hours, a male victim was found to be suffering from a serious cut to his face. The victim was found in an apartment in which several people were involved in a party that involved many alcoholic beverages. The people in the apartment were not very cooperative. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-live threatening injuries. The suspect is known as “Miga” an A/M, about 5’7, 180 lbs. LSW a white t-shirt, and black leather jacket.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 2/26/2006, 4200 BLK Wilson Blvd., Between 2100 hours on February 25th and 1200 hours on February 26th, an unknown person(s) entered a local shop and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash register.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2/25/2006, 1800 BLK Wilson Blvd., On February 25 at about 2255 hours, a female victim was sitting in her car putting on makeup when a male opened her car door and demanded money. The victim shut the door and began the scream and the suspect fled on foot. The suspect is described as a B/M, 6’0, 160 lbs, LSW a gray long sleeve t-shirt and a green hat.

ROBBERY, 2/25/2006, 1700 BLK N. Clarendon Blvd., On February 25th at about 2025 hours, a female victim was walking when two males came up behind her. One of the males stuck an object in her back. The suspect ripped her purse off her arm and both suspects fled on foot. Suspect #1 is described as a B/M 6’4, dark complexion, LSW baggie pants and a red shirt. Suspect #2 is described as a B/M, LSW a white shirt with blue stripes.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/24/2006, 3100 BLK S. Stafford Street, On February 24 between 1040 hours and 1330 hours, an unknown person(s) broke the window of the rear door to gain entry. Taken was a laptop computer and numerous pieces of jewelry.

ATTEMPTED RAPE, 2/24/2006, 4200 BLK Wilson Blvd., Between January 25th and January 30th, a female employee at one of the mall stores was forced into the bathroom by a male employee. The male pleaded for sex as he attempted to pull the victim’s pants down. The victim managed to escape and notified security. Arrested is a William Alfredo Toloza, H/M, 32 YOA, of Alexandria, VA. Toloza was charged with attempted rape and abduction. He was held on no bond.

PEEPING TOM, 2/24/2006, 300 BLK N. Piedmont Street, A female victim noticed a male standing outside the bedroom window. She notified her husband and the police were called. The suspect is described as an H/M, 5’9, 163 lbs, black hair and medium complexion. LSW a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and tan boots.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 2/23/2006, 1700 blk N. 16th St., Sometime between 2315hrs on 02/22/06 and 0750hrs on 02/23/06, unknown subject(s) slashed the tires on four parked vehicles.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2/21/2006, 3700 blk N. Dumbarton St., At approximately 1250hrs, a man saw two unknown men in a neighbor’s yard. When he told them they were trespassing, one of the men struck him in the head with a pipe. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect, Marshall Finch, 20, of Alexandria, was later arrested for burglary and other charges in the 5000 blk of N. 36th St. (see below).

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/21/2006, 5000 blk N. 36th St., At approximately 1448hrs, a woman reported seeing an unknown man get out of her parked car, then walk next door and break into a neighbor’s house. Responding officers, including a K9 officer, searched the house and discovered the suspect inside. He was taken into custody after a struggle. The suspect, Marshall Finch, 20, of Alexandria, is being held on no bond and faces charges of burglary, assault on a police dog, and resisting arrest. Finch was also charged with malicious wounding in connection with an earlier incident (see above).

ROBBERY, 2/20/2006, 1500 BLK N. Clarendon Blvd., On February 20th at approximately 2109 hours, two males approached a female victim from behind. One male grabbed the victim’s purse and both suspects fled on foot. Taken was a leather purse containing a wallet with an undisclosed amount of cash, credit cards, and a NYC subway card. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2/18/2006, 4300 BLK N. 4th Street, On February 18th at about 0518 hours, two roommates got into an argument over a work related matter. Both parties had been drinking. The suspect obtained a knife and cut the victim on the finger. Arrested is a Ervin Perez Juarez, 23 YOA, of Arlington, VA. Juarez was charged with malicious wounding and held on no bond.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/17/2006, 1800 BLK N. Columbus Street, Between 1700 hours on February 16th and 0800 hours on February 17th, an unknown subject(s) gained entry into the residence, which is under construction and took various work tools.

ATTEMPT ROBBERY, 2/17/2006, 5000 BLK S. Columbia Pike, On February 17th at approximately 1305 hours, a male victim was walking when he was approached by two males who demanded money. A short struggle took place. The suspects were unsuccessful in gaining any money. Arrestee # 1 is Antonio Benitez-Hernandez, 22 YOA with no fix address. Arrestee # 2 is Juan Carlos Funes, 28 YOA, with no fixed address. Both subjects were charged with attempt robbery and held on no bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2/16/2006, 1000 BLK S. Frederick Street, On February 16th at about 2229 hours, a male victim was stabbed by another male after an argument ensued over an undisclosed amount of money that was owed. The victim had several cuts to his neck and torso area. Arrested is a Nahom Tewelde Abraha, 19 YOA of Arlington, VA. Abraha was charged with malicious wounding and held on no bond.

ROBBERY, 2/16/2006, 1100 BLK S. Hayes Street, On February 16 at about 1633 hours, an Arlington police officer in plainclothes was working a detail at the Pentagon City Mall when he was approached by a male who demanded a quarter from him. The officer refused to hand over a quarter. Later the officer was approached by the male again and the male suspect threatened to shoot the officer if he did not give him a quarter. The officer immediately took the suspect into custody. Arrested was Meron S. Tekeste, 19 YOA, from Silver Spring, MD. Tekeste was charged with robbery and held on no bond.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2/15/2006, 2100 blk N. Lee Hwy., At approximately 2210hrs on 02/15/06, a man was walking to his home when he was approached from behind by two men. The men demanded money and when the victim refused, he was hit in the face. The men then fled the scene on foot. The suspects are described as WHMs wearing dark clothing.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2/15/2006, 4200 blk N. Fairfax Dr., At approximately 1440hrs on 02/15/06, a woman reported that she observed a man expose his genitals and masturbate while at a bus stop near the Ballston Metro station. Responding officers were unable to locate the man. He is described as a WHM, 40-50yo, approx. 5’8”, 180-200lbs, wearing blue jeans, a dark green or blue jacket and a black baseball cap.

ROBBERY, 2/14/2006, 100 BLK S. Carlin Springs Road, On February 14th at about 2120 hours, a female victim and a friend were at the bus stop, when a male attempted to take her purse. A struggle ensued and the victim gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled on foot. He is described as a B/M, about 25 YOA, 5’10, 190 lbs and dressed in all black clothing.

ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER, 2/14/2006, 200 BLK S. Manchester Street, On February 14th at about 1929 hours, an Arlington County police officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a wanted subject. The suspect attempted to flee and in to process struck 2 officers with the truck door. After the police had cornered the suspect, the suspect attempted to flee again and struck one of the police cruisers before being taken into custody. Arrested is an Alvaro Andres Rodriguez, 32 YOA, of Alexandria, VA. Rodriguez was charged with 3 counts of A/B on a police officer, eluding, hit and run, possession of marijuana. Additionally, 2 warrants from Maryland were served. Rodriguez was held with no bond.

BURGLARY WITH AN ASSAULT, 2/14/2006, 4500 BLK S. 31st Street, On February 14th at about 1435 hours, a male suspect used a key to enter the female victim’s apartment. The suspect and the victim had dated each other 5 years ago. The suspect grabbed the victim and began to assault her. During the assault, the suspect also hit the victim’s 11 year old daughter. The suspect also broke the victim telephone prior to fleeing in a vehicle. Warrants were obtained for Oscar Antonio Cortez, 25 YOA, 5’7, 132 lbs, LKA of Woodbridge, VA. Cortez is being charged with burglary, 2 counts of A/B and DOP.

ASSUALT BY MOB, 2/13/2006, 900 BLK S. 15th Street, On February 13th at approximately 2158 hours, a male victim was walking when he passed a group of 7 males who circled him and began to assault him. The victim was punched and kicked several times. The victim managed to get away and the police were notified. Several suspects were located near the Pentagon Metro. The victim decided he did not want to prosecute, however, two suspects were charged with possession of marijuana.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/13/2006, 1900 blk S. Monroe St., Sometime between 2030hrs on 02/11/06 and 1200hrs on 02/13/06, unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole a TV. Entry was apparently made by breaking a window on a rear door.

PEEPING TOM, 2/10/2006, 1200 blk S. Taylor St., At approximately 0046hrs on 02/10/06, a man was seen looking into the windows of several residences. Responding officers located the man and took him into custody without incident. Jose R. Sanchez-Urrutia, 29, of Arlington was arrested and charged with peeping and drunk in public.

PEEPING TOM, 2/9/2006, 3800 blk S. Columbia Pike, At approximately 2251hrs on 02/09/06, a man was seen looking into the window of a residence. Responding officers, including a K9 unit, were unable to locate the man.

ATTEMPT ROBBERY, 2/8/2006, 1600 BLK Wilson Blvd., On February 8 at about 1250 hours, a male entered a local gas station, covered his face with a brown mask, pointed an unknown object, which was concealed in a black bag and demanded money from the clerk. When the clerk asked the suspect what he was talking about, the suspect fled on foot. No money was taken. The suspect is described as B/M, between 20-30 YOA, between 5’8 -5’11, black hair and light complexion. LSW a short green jacket and brown mask.

Fairfax Drive, Between 1600 hours on February 3 and 1100 hours on February 6, an unknown subject(s) entered an office suite that is under construction and stole two LCD projectors. Access is usually gained through an access card, but a side door was found ajar with a door stop.

ATTEMTED BURGLARY, 2/6/2006, 4600 BLK N. Fairfax Drive, Between 1600 hours and February 5 and 0830 hours on February 6, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the victim’s apartment. Damage was found to the door locking device. Entry was not gained.

ROBBERY, 1/30/2006, 2900 BLK S. Glebe Road, On January 30th at approximately 1517 hours, the victim was walking to his residence, when he was approached by a male carrying a stick. The male suspect asked the victim for an undisclosed amount of money. When the victim refused, he was struck with the stick. The victim attempted to get away, but was struck again. Arrested is a Mr. Jose G. Rodriguez-Hernandez, 19 YOA, no fixed address. Rodriguez-Hernandez was held without bond.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/29/2006, 1500 BLK N. Patrick Henry Drive, Between January 25th and January 29th, the victim alleges that several pieces of jewelry were taken from her jewelry box located in the bedroom. No signs of forced entry found. Entry, however, may have been gained through an unlock sliding glass door.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 1/28/2006, 5200 BLK N. 28th Street, On January 28 at approximately 1722 hours, the alarm at a local high school was activated. Two juvenile males were found inside. Entry was gained through a unlock door. Both males stated they went inside to play basketball. No reports of damage or anything missing.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 1/26/2006, 2300 BLK N. 11th Street, On January 26 at about 0025 hours, a verbal altercation between the victim and a male suspect, become physical when the suspect stabbed the victim in the lower rib cage area. A female, was also assaulted with a rock by the suspect. The suspect fled but was apprehended latter. Arrested is a Jose H. Ruiz-Martinez, 36 YOA. Ruiz-Martinez resides in Arlington, VA. Ruiz- Martinez was charged with malicious wounding and assault and battery. He was held with no bond.

BURGLARY, 1/25/2006, 900 BLK S. Clark Street, Between 1345 hours on January 24 and 1500 hours on January 25, an unknown subject(s) entered a room at a local motel. No signs of forced entry found. Taken was a bullet proof vest and duty belt. The victim is LE.

BRANDISHING, 1/24/2006, 2400 blk N. 9th St., At approximately 0935hrs on 01/24, a woman working inside a day care center heard a tapping noise at a window. When she looked out the window, she saw a man point a handgun at her. The man then turned and walked away. The victim called police, and responding officers located the suspect at his home a few blocks away. Robert Charles Suslovich, 49yo, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with brandishing a firearm. He was held on a $2500 secured bond.

ROBBERY, 1/24/2006, 4100 blk N. 4th St., At approximately 2313hrs on 01/24, a man was knocked to the ground and assaulted by three other men. During the assault, one of the suspects took cash from the victim. All three suspects then fled the scene on foot. The suspects are described as B/Ms, one wearing a green winter jacket and the other two wearing black winter jackets.

ARMED ROBBERY, 1/24/2006, 1000 blk N. Nelson St., At approximately 1945hrs on 01/24, a man was approached by two other men from behind. One of the suspects held an object to the victim’s back and took cash and jewelry from the victim. Both suspects then fled the scene on foot. The suspects are described as wearing dark winter clothing.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 1/23/2006, 900 BLK S. Buchanan Street, On January 23 at 0845 hours, the male victim was in his apartment feeding his four month old baby, when he heard someone enter the apartment. The victim saw a male and confronted him. The male intruder told the victim that he was going to use the bathroom. When the victim denied him use of the facilities, the intruder struck the victim in the mouth and fled. The suspect is described as an H/M, Mid 20’s, 5’10, 165 lbs. LSW wearing dark brown pants, a black hooded jacket and a camouflage jacket. The suspect may be a homeless subject.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 1/22/2006, 1400 BLK S. Hayes Street, On January 22 at about 1225 hours, a female suspect was caught in an “employee only” area of a local department store. Several employee purses had an undisclosed amount of money stolen. Arrested is a Christal D. Owens, B/F, and 21 YOA. Owens of Woodbridge, VA. Owens was charged with burglary and held on a $2000 bond.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 1/22/2006, 1800 BLK N. Oak Street, On January 22 at about 1729 hours, the victim, a cab driver, picked up a customer. The customer then attempted to rob the driver. The suspect was unsuccessful and fled. The police located the suspect and arrested him. NFI.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/22/2006, 800 BLK S. Frederick Street, On January 22 at about 0109 hours, several people were having a birthday party. A male suspect began behaving in a manner not acceptable to the home owner. The suspect left but returned a few minutes later and kicked in the door. After kicking the door in, the suspect attempted to assault the home owner. In the process the suspect assaulted another person who had been attending the party. Warrants for burglary and A/B were obtained for Thomas D. Harris, B/M, 26 YOA 5’9, about 200 lbs. Harris lives in Alexandria, VA.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 1/21/2006, 3100 BLK Washington Blvd., On January 21 at approximately 0121 hours, the victim was involved in a physical altercation in which part of his ear was bitten off. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Arrested is Reece C. Edmonds III. Reece resides in Fairfax, VA. He was charged with malicious wounding and held without bond. Also arrested is a Justin O. Johnson. Johnson resides in Burke, VA. He was charged with simple assault.

ROBBERY, 1/18/2006, 1400 BLK S. 28th Street, On January 18 at 1920 hours, an unknown person approached the victim, asking for money. When the victim took his wallet out, the suspect grabbed the wallet. A struggle ensued, with the suspect eventually fleeing with the wallet. Suspect is described as a B/M, in his 20’s, about 5’9, 200 lbs. LSW a gray jacket or sweatshirt and jeans.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 1/18/2006, 600 BLK N. Randolph Street, Between 2358 hours on January 16 and 0223 hours on January 17, an unknown subject(s) forced entry into the business and attempted to steal vehicles from the garage.

ROBBERY, 1/18/2006, 4400 BLK S. Four Mile Run Drive, On January 18 at about 0157 hours, the victim had parked his car and was walking home and talking on his cell phone. When an unknown person grabbed him by the shoulder and punched him in the face. The victim fell to the ground and another subject grabbed his phone and fled.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 1/18/2006, 1000 BLK S. Wayne Street, On January 17 between 1030 and 2334 hours, the victim’s ex-boyfriend unlawfully entered the victim’s apartment (key) and damaged items inside. Arrested is a Jeremy M. Powell, 31 YOA, from Falls Church. Powell was charged with misdemeanor destruction of property and unlawful entry. Bond was set at $1500.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 1/17/2006, 4800 Columbia Pike, On January 17 at about 2022 hours a male victim was attacked by another male. The victim was very uncooperative and would not talk about the assault. The victim suffered severe lacerations to the face including bruises and swelling. Witnesses in the area assisted the police and helped in locating the suspect. Arrested is a Julio Garcia Nolasco, H/M, 38 YOA with no fixed address. Nolasco was charged with malicious wounding and held without bond.

Eads Street, On January 17 at about 0624 hours, the victim was walking through a parking lot on her way to work, when an unknown subject tried to grab her purse. A short struggle ensued. The suspect fled when the victim refused to relinquish her purse. Suspect is described as an H/M, 19-20 YOA, about 5’7 145 lbs. LSW dark pants and a black nylon winter jacket.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 1/16/2006, 5500 BLK Columbia Pike, On January 15 at about 2356 hours, a cab driver got into a cab dispute with a passenger. The passenger pushed the cab driver to the ground, causing a severe laceration and a broken arm. Arrested was a Kristen K. Stevens, W/M, 30 YOA, of Arlington VA. Stevens was charged with malicious wounding and held without bond.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/16/2006, 1400 BLK S. Glebe Road, Between 0845 hours and 1420 hours on January 16, an unknown subject(s) gained entry to the house through an open basement window. An undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry was reported missing. No signs of forced entry found.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, 1/15/2006, 4600 BLK Four Mile Run Drive, On January 15 at about 0615 hours, an officer discovered seven (7) of DOP to vehicles. Vehicles were found with their rear windshield shattered and pieces of brick on the ground.

ATTEMPT ROBBERY, 1/15/2006, 2400 BLK Columbia Pike, On January 15 at about 2039 hours, a male entered a local supermarket. The suspect asked the clerk to make change for him. The victim opened the cash registered and the suspect reached over and grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim and the suspect got into a struggle. The victim was able to spray the suspect with a fire extinguisher and held him until the police arrived. Arrested was a Dennis W. Matthews, W/M, 41 YOA of Arlington, VA. Matthews was charged with attempt robbery ands held without bond.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 1/14/2006, 1400 BLK Wilson Blvd., On January 14th at approximately 1540 hours, an unknown suspect entered an office suite through a rear door. A laptop computer was discovered missing. Prior to the theft, an employee had encountered the suspect. The suspect is described as a B/M, about 6’0, 200 lbs, black hair and light complexion. LSW a maroon or red sweatshirt with dark pants and light colored shoes.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 1/12/2006, 4100 BLK S. Four Mile Run Drive, On January 12 at approximately 2157 hours, the victim got into an argument with her intoxicated husband. The husband attempted to leave with their two year old son. When victim refused to give him the baby, she was punched in the face. The husband then retrieved a knife from the kitchen and began to stab himself. Eventually he attempted to stab the victim but was restrained by others in the apartment. The suspect fled on foot and was not located. A warrant for malicious wounding as well as an EPO was obtained for Manuel Dejesus Hernandez, 39 YOA, H/M, of Arlington, VA.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY , 1/12/2006, 1300 BLK N. Quincy Street, Between 2100 hours on January 10 and 1400 hours on January 11, an unknown subject(s) gained access to the wrestling room at a local high school. Entry may have been gain though an existing hole in the sliding door that separates the locker room from the wrestling room. Stolen is a wrestling bag containing a uniform and headgear. Also taken was a Nintendo game system along with an unknown game.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 1/11/2006, 1500 BLK Wilson Blvd., Between January 6th and January 9th, an unknown subject(s) broke into an office through a locked door. Computer equipment and a projector were taken.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/11/2006, 900 BLK S. Buchanan Street, Between 1600 hours on January 10th and 0800 hours on January 11th, an unknown individual(s) entered an unoccupied apartment and painted MS-13 on the wall. Entry was gained through a ground floor sliding glass door.

EXPOSURE, 1/10/2006, 4500 BLK S. Four Mile Run Drive, On January 10th at approximately 1505 hours, an Arlington Police Officer observed a male sitting in a car masturbating. The vehicle captured the Officer’s attention after reading previous incident reports of indecent exposures, involving this suspect and vehicle. The suspect was ID as Hector Chavez Garcia, 42 YOA, with an unknown address in Arlington. Garcia was charged with exposure.

ARMED ROBBERY, 1/9/2006, 2100 BLK N. 15th Street, On January 9th at approximately 2035 hours, a male suspect entered a local pharmacy and concealed three bottles of beer and began to exit without paying. A security officer confronted the male and the male turned over one bottle of beer and displayed a large knife in order to facilitate his escape. On 01-10-06 the male suspect was ID. Arrested was a Mario Roy Jackson, 34 year old B/M with no fixed address. Jackson was charged with robbery and held without bond.

ATTEMPT BREAKING AND ENTERING, 1/8/2006, 2700 BLK N. Pershing Drive, On January 8th at approximately 0019 hours, the victim responded to his place of business due to the alarm being set off. Upon his arrival he discovered that someone had kicked the garage door which has glass squares. No entry was gained.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 1/7/2006, 1900 BLK N. Quincy Street, On January 7th at 1804 hours, the victim returned home and found a male in her garage. The male approached her and asked if needed any raking in her yard. The victim declined his services and the subject left on foot. The subject is described as a B/M, in his 30’s, about 5’11 and 190 lbs, LSW a black knit cap, brown leather jacket, black turtle neck and dark pants.

ABDUCTION WITH INTENT TO DEFILE, 1/7/2006, 2800 BLK N. Marcey Road, On January 7th at about 1410 hours a female was abducted as she walked along the bike trial near the Nature Center. A male suspect approached the victim and asked her what time it was. The suspect grabbed the victim by the upper torso and began pulling her into the woods. The suspect was armed with a knife. The victim plead with the suspect that he did not want to do this and she managed to run off. The suspect was later found and ID. The suspect is identified as Edgar Garcia Vanegas, 25 YOA, with no fixed address. Vanegas was charged with abduction with intent to defile and held without bond.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 1/6/2006, 1400 BLK S. Joyce Street, On January 6th between 0900 hours and 2100 hours, the victim alleges that an unknown subject(s) may have entered his apartment without his permission. The victim found several items moved around but nothing missing.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/5/2006, 300 BLK S. 23rd Street, On January 5th between 0800 – 1600 hours, an unknown subject(s) entered the victim’s apartment and took an undisclosed amount of cash. Also taken were 2 computers, and an I-Pod charger. No signs of forced entry found.

ARMED ROBBERY (LATE), 1/4/2006, 300 BLK N. George Mason Drive, On December 31st at about 1900 hours, a male victim was robbed at gunpoint and struck in the back of the head with an unknown object.3 unknown suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash as well as a large numerous phone cards. Suspect #1 is described as an H/M, about 20 YOA, 4’10, 120 lbs, black hair, LSW a dark baseball cap, dark jeans and dark jacket. Suspect #2 is described as an H/M, 25-30 YOA, 5’7, 180 lbs, brown hair, LSW a dark sweatshirt with a hood and dark jeans. Suspect #3 is described as an H/M, 25-30 YOA, 6’1 150 lbs, and brown hair.

ARMED ROBBERY, 1/4/2006, 400 BLK N. George Mason Drive, On January 3rd at about 1730 hours, a male victim was robbed at gunpoint of a plastic bag with several phone cards. At the time of the robbery, the victim was attempting to sell the cards. Suspect #1 is described as an H/M. between 20-26 YOA, 5’5 – 5’6, skinny build, black hair and medium complexion. LSW a white hat, white hoody with paint and white pants with paint. Suspect #2 is described as an H/M, 20-26 YOA, 5’4 – 5’5, heavy build, black hair and medium complexion. LSW a red hoody with dark pants.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 1/4/2006, 4200 BLK Wilson Blvd., Between 2100 hours on January 3 and 1000 hours on January 4, an unknown subject(s) gained access to numerous cell phones at a Wireless kiosk. This is the second time this has happen.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 1/3/2006, 1900 BLK N. Ft. Myer Drive, Between December 29th and January 3, an unknown subject(s) gained entry into the boiler room by prying open a metal door. Nothing was reported taken.

COMMERCIAL BURGALRY, 1/3/2006, 2000 BLK N. 15th Street, Between December 30th and January 3, an unknown subject(s) entered the construction office and stole copper pipe fittings.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 1/3/2006, 2000 BLK N. 15th Street, Between December 30th and January 3rd, an unknown subject(s) entered the construction office and took various power tools.

ROBBERY, 1/3/2006, 3200 BLK S. Abingdon Street, On January 3, 2006, at approximately 2153 hours, a female victim was walking home when she was approached by a male suspect who asked her what time it was. Before she could answer, the suspect grabbed her purse and fled on foot. The suspect is described as an H/M, between 16-20 YOA, about 5’8 and average build. Medium complexion and LSW a grey hooded sweatshirt and baggy jeans.

ROBBERY, 1/3/2006, 4100 BLK Four Mile Run Drive, On January 1, 2006, at about 1030 hours, a female victim was walking home when a male suspect snatched her purse and threw her to the ground. The suspect ran to a grey car and fled. The purse was later located by a neighbor. The suspect is described as a B/M, LSW a grey shirt and black knit cap.

ARMED ROBBERY, 1/2/2006, 3000 BLK S. Randolph Street, On January 2, 2006 at approximately 2332 hours, a female victim was walking to her car when two males followed her. One of the males produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s purse. The victim complied. Suspect # 1 is described as a W/H/M 20-25 YOA, about 5’8, black hair, and LSW a black coat, black pants and a black ski mask. This suspect was armed. Suspect # 2 is described as a W/H/M, 20-25 YOA, about 5’8 with black hair. LSW black pants and a red and white ball cap.
