SEXUAL ASSAULT, 3/31/2007, 2000 block of N. Sycamore St. At approximately 0130 hrs on 03/31/07, a woman caught a taxi in Washington, D.C. During the trip, the driver exited the highway and sexually assaulted the woman. The suspect is described as a light-skinned male, possibly Middle Eastern, in his 30s or 40s, between 5 ft. 8 in. and 6 ft. tall, 160 lbs, with brown hair, last seen wearing a white shirt and dark pants. SEXUAL BATTERY, 3/31/2007, 1100 block of S. Joyce St. At approximately 2000 hrs on 03/31/07, a woman walking to the restroom in a restaurant was pressed up against a wall and inappropriately touched by a man. The suspect then left the restaurant. He is described as a white male in his 70s, 5 ft. 8 in. tall, 170 lbs, wearing blue pants and a light blue shirt and using a cane. FELONY HIT AND RUN, 3/31/2007, Columbia Pike/S. Wakefield St. At approximately 0252 hrs on 03/31/07, a Land Rover was turning from southbound S. Wakefield St. onto eastbound Columbia Pike with the green light. A dark vehicle traveling westbound on Columbia Pike ran the red light and struck the Land Rover spinning it off the road into a utility pole. There were no injuries reported. FELONY HIT AND RUN, 3/31/2007, 5900 block of N. Washington Blvd. At approximately 1036 hrs on 03/31/07, a gold Honda pulled out of a parking lot onto Washington Blvd. cutting off a Honda Civic. The Civic swerved to the right to avoid a collision and struck a parked Lexus RS300. The driver of the Civic sustained minor unspecified injuries. FELONY HIT AND RUN, 3/31/2007, 3100 block of Wilson Blvd. At approximately 2228 hrs on 03/31/07, a man driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck westbound on Wilson Blvd. rear-ended a Ford Crown Victoria which was stopped for traffic, pushing it forward into a Hyundai Santa Fe. Two passengers in the Santa Fe suffered minor unspecified injuries and the F-150 left the scene of the accident. Officers located the F-150 nearby and arrested the driver. Dashdendev Narantsetseg, 23, of Arlington, was charged with Felony Hit and Run and held on $1,000 bond. BURGLARY, 3/31/2007, 1800 block of S. George Mason Dr. Between 2200 hrs on 03/30/07 and 0705 hrs on 03/31/07, someone entered the attached garage of a house under construction, probably through a side window, and took a refrigerator. BURGLARY, 3/31/2007, 900 block of N. Stuart St. Between 2000 hrs on 03/25/07 and 1130 hrs on 03/31/07, someone entered an apartment by unknown means and took a large amount of clothing which was being stored there while the resident moved into a new home. BURGLARY, 3/30/2007, 6200 block of Lee Hwy. Between 1950 hrs and 2100 hrs on 03/30/07, someone entered a house by kicking in the rear door and took jewelry. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 3/29/2007, 4200 block of Wilson Blvd. At approximately 1400 hrs on 03/29/07, several juveniles were sitting on a bench at a bus stop. Two women standing nearby noticed that a man was standing near the bus shelter and exposing himself. When the women and children got on the bus, the man left on foot. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male in his 30s, 5 ft. 5 in. tall, medium build, with short black hair, last seen wearing a light blue dress shirt and black trousers. BURGLARY, 3/29/2007, 4200 block of Wilson Blvd. Between 2130 hrs and 2155 hrs on 03/29/07, two male juveniles took cell phones from a mall kiosk and left on foot before security officers arrived. Suspect #1 is described as a dark-skinned black male, approximately 15 years old, 5 ft. 9 in. tall, 140 lbs, wearing a multi-colored hat, a beige jacket, a blue shirt, and dark pants, and carrying a dark backpack. Suspect #2 is described as a black male, approximately 15 years old, 5 ft. 9 in. tall, 150 lbs, with cornrows and a mustache, wearing a sweatshirt, a vest, and blue jeans. BURGLARY, 3/29/2007, 5518 S. 8th Street. Some time before 1530 hrs on 03/29/07, someone gained entry to a residence by removing a glass window pane from the back door. A velvet box containing several items of jewelry was taken. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 3/29/2007, 1600 block of N. 21st St. At approximately 0137 hrs on 03/29/07, a naked man was observed yelling in a common area inside of an apartment building. Officers located the man inside of an apartment. Brent Kimberlain Byers, 31, of Arlington, was arrested for Indecent Exposure and released on a summons. BURGLARY, 3/28/2007, 2200 block of S. Shirlington Rd. Between the evening of 03/27/07 and the morning of 03/28/07, someone entered a building under construction and took a large number of kitchen and bathroom fixtures. BURGLARY, 3/28/2007, 4200 block of Wilson Blvd. Between 2130 hrs on 03/28/07 and 0930 hrs on 03/29/07, someone stole several cell phones from a mall kiosk. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3/28/2007, 2300 block of S. Crystal Dr. / 2700 block of S. Jefferson Davis Hwy. Between 0745 hrs and 1750 hrs on 03/28/07, someone broke into three vehicles in parking garages by smashing windows and took a GPS unit, a cell phone, and a gift card. ASSAULT & BATTERY, 3/28/2007, 6100 block of N. Wilson Blvd. At approximately 0022 hrs on 03/28/07, a woman was struck in the face by a male acquaintance who claimed she owed him money. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 3/27/2007, 4200 block of N. Fairfax Drive. At approximately 2000 hrs on 03/27/07, a man exposed himself to a 15 year old girl who was waiting at a bus stop. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, between 35 and 45 years old, about 5 feet five inches tall and 180-200 lbs. He was wearing a red and yellow striped polo shirt and blue jeans. ASSAULT & BATTERY, 3/27/2007, 1800 block of S. Crystal Drive. Between 1216 and 1225 hrs on 03/27/07, a woman assaulted a pedestrian and threatened three other strangers in front of a building. Maxine Copeland, 41, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct. BURGLARY, 3/26/2007, 3700 block of S. Kemper Road. Between 2000 hrs on 03/25/07 and 1100 hrs on 03/26/07, someone broke into a home under construction and took several power tools. BURGLARY, 3/26/2007, 800 block of N. Quincy St. Between 1430 hrs on 03/23/07 and 0630 hrs on 03/26/07, someone entered a construction site and took 200 feet of copper piping. BURGLARY, 3/26/2007, 2000 block of S. Crystal Drive. Between 1700 hrs on 03/23/07 and 0920 hrs on 03/26/07, someone entered an office by unknown means and took two laptop computers and a laptop carrying case. ABDUCTION/ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY, 3/25/2007, 1700 block of N. Lynn St. At approximately 2025 hrs on 03/25/07, a woman walking down the street was approached by two men. One of the men produced a handgun and forced the woman to walk with him to a nearby parking lot. The second man asked the victim for money. When other people approached the area, the two suspects fled on foot without receiving anything from the victim. Suspect #1 (with the handgun) is described as a black male, 21 years old, 5 ft. 7 in. tall, 140 lbs, clean-shaven, wearing diamond earrings, a black baseball cap, a black jacket, black baggy pants, and black shoes. Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 25 years old, 5 ft. 9 in. tall, 150 lbs, clean-shaven, wearing all black. ROBBERY BY FORCE, 3/25/2007, 5000 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 2223 hrs on 03/25/07, a man in line at a restaurant waited until the cashier opened the cash register then walked behind the counter. He pushed the cashier out of the way, took an undisclosed amount of money from the register, and left the restaurant on foot. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male or a light-skinned black male, 35 to 40 years old, 6 ft. tall, 145 lbs, wearing a baseball cap and black coat. PEEPING TOM, 3/25/2007, 900 block of N. Irving St. At approximately 0022 hrs on 03/25/07, residents in the basement of a house saw someone holding a camera up to the basement window. When one of the victims yelled, the person fled on foot. There is no description of the suspect. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3/25/2007, 2400 block of S. 27th Ct. / 2200 block of S. 27th St. / 2600-2700 blocks of S. Veitch St. Between 1100 hrs on 03/24/07 and 1152 hrs on 03/25/07, someone broke into five vehicles parked in parking garages by smashing windows. A GPS unit was taken from each of the vehicles and in one case a laptop computer, a portable DVD player, and several DVDs were also stolen. ABDUCTION/MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 3/24/2007, 3200 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 2230 hrs on 03/24/07, a man and a women coming out of a restaurant were confronted by a male acquaintance of the woman. The acquaintance got upset and punched the man, causing a laceration to the head. He then forced the woman into his vehicle and drove away. The suspect physically assaulted the woman and forced her into a house. Eventually, the female victim was able to get away from the suspect. FELONY HIT AND RUN, 3/24/2007, 5400 block of Lee Hwy. At approximately 2200 hrs on 03/24/07, a Volkswagen Passat was stopped at a red light on eastbound Lee Hwy. at N. Harrison St. A man driving a Chevrolet sedan rear-ended the Passat and then drove away from the scene. Officers located the suspect in his Chevrolet at a convenience store in Falls Church. Nanzadsuren Natsagdorj, 42, of Fairfax, was charged with Felony Hit and Run and Driving While Intoxicated and held on $3,000 bond. ARMED ROBBERY, 3/23/2007, 4100 block of N. Henderson Rd. At approximately 2115 hrs on 03/23/07, two men walked into a grocery store. One of the men produced a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, both suspects fled on foot. Officers apprehended both suspects in the area and a police K-9 located the handgun. Gary Keith Whitaker, 28, and Jammee Togan, 23, both of Washington, D.C., were charged with Robbery and held without bond. PEEPING TOM, 3/23/2007, 700 block of N. Wayne St. At approximately 2135 hrs on 03/23/07, a man was seen looking into the bedroom window of an apartment. Officers arrived and located the suspect. Alvaro Lazo Calero, 27, of Springfield, was charged with Peeping and released on his own recognizance. ATTEMPTED CARJACKING, 3/22/2007, 1000 block of N. Stuart St. At approximately 2100 hrs on 03/22/07, a woman noticed that three male juveniles were following her as she walked to her car. After the woman got into her vehicle, one of the juveniles opened the driver-side door and ordered her to get out. The woman was able to close her door again and the three juveniles fled on foot. Two of the suspects are described as black males, 12 to 15 years old, 5 ft. 6 in. tall, 140 lbs, with short hair. The third suspect is described as a black male, 12 to 15 years old, 5 ft. 10 in. tall, 160 lbs, with longer hair. FELONY HIT AND RUN, 3/22/2007, 2000 block of N. Lynn St. At approximately 1538 hrs on 03/22/07, a grey Ford taxi cab taking the off-ramp from I-66 westbound made a right turn on red from the ramp onto N. Lynn St. The taxi did not yield the right of way to a bicyclist in the crosswalk and knocked him off of his bike. The taxi then fled the scene. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries. A witness noted the tag on the taxi and the investigation is continuing. BURGLARY, 3/22/2007, 3500 block of S. Ball St. Between 1500 hrs on 03/21/07 and 0700 hrs on 03/22/07, someone entered an unsecured building on a construction site and took power tools. SEXUAL BATTERY, 3/21/2007, 1500 block of S. Quincy St. At approximately 2130 hrs on 03/21/07, a woman walked past a man who then began to follow her. As the woman hurried away, the man ran up behind her, groped her, and fled on foot. The suspect is described a white Hispanic male in his late teens, 5 ft. 5 in. tall, stocky, wearing a long-sleeve, white track suit jacket with vertical silver stripes from the waist to the underarm, dark pants, and black shoes. BURGLARY, 3/20/2007, 900 block of S. Highland St. At approximately 1300 hrs on 03/20/07, a man was discovered stealing donated items from the unsecured storage room of an organization. When confronted, the man fled to a nearby gold Mazda which contained numerous stolen items and was being driven by a woman. The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, wearing a black shirt. The driver of the Mazda is described as a black female, approximately 50 years old. BURGLARY, 3/20/2007, 1400 block of Wilson Blvd. Between 1800 hrs on 03/19/07 and 0611 hrs on 03/20/07, someone entered an office suite by unknown means and took a laptop computer. PEEPING TOM, 3/20/2007, 300 block of N. Oxford St. At approximately 0058 hrs on 03/20/07, officers observed a man peeping into the bedroom window of an apartment. Hector Antonio Herrerra-Roman, 18, of Arlington, was charged with Peeping Into an Occupied Dwelling and released on his own recognizance. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 3/19/2007, 4200 block of N. Fairfax Dr. At approximately 2005 hrs on 03/19/07, a woman observed a man at a bus stop exposing himself. When she called 911, the man left on foot. The suspect is described as a heavy-set white male in his 40s or 50s, last seen wearing a khaki jacket, black jeans, and a blue baseball cap. PEEPING TOM, 3/19/2007, 900 block of N. Larrimore St. At approximately 2359 hrs on 03/19/07, a woman in her bedroom saw a man looking at her through a window. When the woman yelled to another person in the house, the suspect fled on foot. The suspect is described a white male with a “buzz cut”. FELONY HIT AND RUN, 3/19/2007, S. Dinwiddie St./Columbia Pike. At approximately 1305 hrs on 03/19/07, a woman driving a gold Toyota 4-door southbound on S. Dinwiddie St. tried to turn left onto eastbound Columbia Pike but did not yield the right of way to a Toyota Camry traveling north on S. Dinwiddie St. After the vehicles collided, the woman in the gold Toyota fled the scene. BURGLARY, 3/19/2007, 100 block of S. Columbus St. At approximately 1000 hrs on 03/19/07, a woman returned to her residence and heard an intruder in the house. She saw a man run out of the back door of the house and called 911. Officers set up a perimeter and the suspect was apprehended in the area. George Perez Levenberry, 45, of Arlington, was charged with Burglary and held without bond. He was also wanted by the Sheriff’s Office for a probation violation stemming from a prior Burglary conviction. BURGLARY, 3/19/2007, 6300 block of N. Washington Blvd. Between 1700 hrs on 03/16/07 and 0800 hrs on 03/19/07, someone entered a construction trailer by forcing a door and took a large amount of tools. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3/19/2007, 2100-2300 blocks of S. Crystal Dr. Between 0900 hrs and 1825 hrs on 03/19/07, someone broke into three vehicles in parking garages by smashing windows. Two GPS units, compact discs, clothing, and a cell phone were taken from the vehicles. ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 3/18/2007, 300 block of N. Quebec St. At approximately 0230 hrs on 03/18/07, a man tried to enter an apartment by cutting a screen and prying open a bedroom window. He was unsuccessful and fled on foot. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, 5 ft. 6 in. tall, 160 lbs, wearing a grey sweatshirt, blue pants, and white shoes. ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY, 3/17/2007, 3100 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 2113 hrs on 03/17/07, a man armed with a handgun entered a gas station convenience store and demanded money from the clerk. When the clerk fled, the man jumped over the counter, knocking the cash register to the floor. The suspect then fled, apparently without taking anything. He is described as a white male, last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt and blue jeans and concealing his face with a black scarf. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 3/17/2007, 4200 block of Wilson Blvd. At approximately 0914 hrs on 03/17/07, security officers observed a man looking in the window of a health club and exposing himself. The security officers detained the suspect until police arrived. Alexei Cordero-Rodriguez, 32, of no fixed address, was charged with Indecent Exposure and Trespassing and held without bond. FELONY HIT AND RUN, 3/17/2007, 5100 block of S. 8th Rd. At approximately 1713 hrs on 03/17/07, a man driving a Honda Accord pulled into a parking lot and struck a Toyota Corolla that was preparing to pull out of the lot. The suspect spoke briefly with the driver of the Corolla then fled the scene. Officers located the Accord unoccupied nearby and the investigation is ongoing. BURGLARY, 3/17/2007, 5500 block of Columbia Pike. Between 0020 hrs and 0810 hrs on 03/17/07, a man entered a convenience store by smashing the glass on the front door and took a large amount of phone cards. Surveillance video captured images of the suspect. He is described as a white Hispanic male, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers. BURGLARY, 3/16/2007, 4900 block of S. Chesterfield Rd. Between 1230 hrs on 03/15/07 and 0740 hrs on 03/16/07, someone damaged the window of a school store at a high school, reached inside, and took various school supplies. BURGLARY, 3/16/2007, 5300 block of N. Bluemont Dr. Between 1200 hrs on 03/11/07 and 0700 hrs on 03/16/07, someone entered a house by unknown means and took jewelry and cash. BURGLARY, 3/16/2007, 2800 block of S. Fort Scott Dr. Between 1100 hrs and 1345 hrs on 03/16/07, someone entered a house by prying open a rear door and took jewelry and cash. ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 3/16/2007, 400 block of N. Harrison St. Between 1040 hrs and 1500 hrs on 03/16/07, someone entered a home by forcing the front door. It does not appear that anything was taken. ROBBERY, 3/15/2007, 256 N. Glebe Rd. Between 1154 hrs and 1200 hrs on 03/15/07, a man entered a pharmacy, placed several items in two baskets and left without paying. As he was leaving he threatened a store employee. SEXUAL BATTERY, 3/15/2007, 2200 block of Wilson Blvd. At approximately 0848 hrs on 03/14/07, a man followed a woman into an elevator in an apartment building. When the two were alone in the elevator, the man grabbed the woman’s legs and attempted to grab her skirt. The woman was able to fight the suspect off and exited the elevator when the doors opened. The suspect left the scene on the elevator. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male, late 20s to early 30s, 5 ft. 9 in. tall, 190 lbs, last seen wearing a bright blue button-down shirt with white pinstripes and dark slacks. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY BY FORCE, 3/14/2007, 900 block of N. Stuart St. At approximately 2116 hrs on 03/14/07, two men approached a man who was carrying a bag. One of the men tried to pull the bag away from the victim but he was able to maintain possession of it. The suspects then left on foot. Both suspects are described as black males, approximately 25 years old, 6 ft. tall, 200 lbs. The suspect who tried to take the bag was wearing black pants and a black shirt. The second suspect was wearing dark pants and a white and black striped sweater. FELONY HIT AND RUN, 3/14/2007, 300 block of N. Glebe Rd. At approximately 2004 hrs on 03/14/07, a pedestrian crossing the northbound lanes of N. Glebe Rd. was struck by a dark sedan which immediately left the scene. The striking vehicle has damage to the driver’s side mirror. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to the face, shoulder, arms, and legs. BURGLARY, 3/14/2007, 900 block of N. Jacksonville St. Between 0855 hrs and 1715 hrs on 03/14/07, someone entered a house by smashing a kitchen window and took two cameras and jewelry. FELONY HIT AND RUN, 3/13/2007, I-395 northbound at Glebe Rd. At approximately 0840 hrs on 03/13/07, a Toyota RAV-4 traveling north on I-395 slowed for merging traffic and was rear-ended and pushed off the road. The striking vehicle, which may have been a white pickup truck or van, continued north on I-395 without stopping. BURGLARY, 3/13/2007, 700 block of S. Jefferson St. At approximately 1511 hrs on 03/13/07, a female resident of a home encountered an unknown man who had apparently entered through the unsecured front door. The man fled on foot. Numerous items were disturbed in the house but it is not known at this time if anything was taken. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male, 16 years old, tall, 140 lbs, with long hair in an “afro” style, last seen wearing a blue shirt and black pants. BURGLARY, 3/13/2007, 800 block of N. Highland St. Between 1930 hrs and 2118 hrs on 03/13/07, someone entered a home by gaining access to the roof and going through a second-floor window. A big-screen TV and items of jewelry were taken. ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 3/13/2007, 3200 block of N. 1st St. Between 0930 hrs and 1730 hrs on 03/13/07, someone damaged the side door of a home in an apparent attempt to break in. The suspect did not get into the house. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 3/12/2007, 2700 block of S. Arlington Mill Dr. At approximately 1630 hrs on 03/12/07, a woman pushing a baby in a stroller was approached by a man who exposed himself to her. The suspect is described as a young-looking white Hispanic male, short, with gold front teeth, last seen wearing a cream-colored pullover, blue jeans, work boots, and a white hard hat. BURGLARY, 3/12/2007, 2700 block of S. Quincy St. Between 1700 hrs on 03/09/07 and 0720 hrs on 03/12/07, someone pried open a storage closet on a construction site and took a large number of power tools. BURGLARY, 3/11/2007, 1500 block of S. Arlington Ridge Rd. Between 0900 hrs on 03/04/07 and 0900 hrs on 03/11/07, someone entered an apartment by unknown means and took cash from a safe. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY BY FORCE, 3/11/2007, 4800 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 0305 hrs on 03/11/07, a man walked out of a restaurant and was confronted by five men. One of the men demanded the victim’s wallet and punched him several times when he refused to hand it over. All five suspects then fled the scene in a red Ford Mustang. The victim was treated at the scene for a minor laceration to the head. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 3/11/2007, 2600 block of Clarendon Blvd. At approximately 0008 hrs on 03/11/07, a man approached a woman who was walking down the street and exposed himself to her. He then fled on foot. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male of unknown race, 5 ft. 6 in. tall, 180 lbs, last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, white shorts, and white shoes. BURGLARY, 3/11/2007, 1700 block of S. Jefferson Davis Hwy. Between 1800 hrs and 1820 hrs on 03/11/07, a man entered a hotel room by unknown means and took an Ipod and cash. The family staying in the hotel room returned as the suspect came out of their room and saw him flee down a stairwell. The suspect is described as a 45 to 50 year old man, 5 ft. 9 in. tall, 220 lbs, with a bald or shaved head, last seen wearing a blue jacket, grey shirt, and blue pants. ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 3/11/2007, 4400 block of Rock Spring Rd. At approximately 1650 hrs on 03/11/07, someone broke a window on an entry door to an equipment storage building. The burglar was apparently scared away by an audible burglar alarm and entry was not gained. ARMED ROBBERY, 3/10/2007, 1400 block of S. 28th St. At approximately 2035 hrs on 03/10/07, a man and a woman were walking together when they were attacked from behind by two men. One suspect pushed the man to the ground and pointed a handgun at him while the second suspect robbed the woman of her purse. The suspects fled to a nearby vehicle and left the scene. Suspect #1 is described as a dark-skinned black male, 23 years old, 6 ft. 1 in. tall, and thin. Suspect #2 is described as a dark-skinned black male, 24 years old, 6 ft. tall, skinny, thin, wearing a black baseball cap, a black t-shirt, and jeans. An unknown third person drove the getaway car, which is described as a black older model Honda. BURGLARY, 3/10/2007, 2500 block of S. Barton Ct. At approximately 2325 hrs on 03/10/07, an officer observed several people riding on an ATV which belongs to an apartment complex. The riders fled on foot when they saw the officer. It was discovered that a shed had been broken into and two ATVs stolen. Both ATVs were recovered and three juveniles were caught near the scene. Petitions are pending for two of the juveniles. Chesterfield Rd. At approximately 0830 hrs on 03/09/07, a 15-year-old male high school student intentionally locked a 21-year-old female student in a room. The victim was locked in the room for approximately 45 minutes until a teacher discovered her. A petition is pending for the 15-year-old male. BURGLARY, 3/9/2007, 1500 block of Columbia Pike. Between 1900 hrs on 03/08/07 and 0555 hrs on 03/09/07, someone entered a business through a skylight and took cash. BURGLARY, 3/9/2007, 2700 block of S. Quincy St. Between 1200 hrs on 03/07/07 and 1030 hrs on 03/09/07, someone entered a construction site and took a large amount of copper wire. BURGLARY, 3/8/2007, 2500 block of N. Washington Blvd. Between 1900 hrs on 03/07/07 and 0800 hrs on 03/08/07, someone broke into a business by prying a door and took a safe and cash. ROBBERY BY FORCE, 3/7/2007, 4300 block of N. 2nd Rd. At approximately 2340 hrs on 03/07/07, a man walking down the street was grabbed from behind by a masked man. A second suspect approached and hit the victim in the face. The victim was pushed to the ground and his wallet was taken by one of the suspects. The suspects fled in a white car. Both suspects are described as white Hispanic males wearing black jackets or hooded sweatshirts, dark pants, and bandannas covering their faces. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 3/7/2007, 5800 block of N. 22nd St. Between 1300 hrs and 1545 hrs on 03/07/07, someone entered a house by prying open a rear basement door and took a laptop computer, a DVD player, and jewelry. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 03/06/07, 4700 blk of S. Columbia Pike. Between 0000 hrs and 0540 hrs on 03/06/07, someone forced open a side door of a restaurant and took cash from the register and the manager?s office. ASSAULT 03/06/07, 1500 blk of N. Courthouse Rd. At approximately 1800 hrs on 03/06/07, a man standing in line to enter a homeless shelter was punched in the face by another man in line. The suspect ran away before officers arrived. ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 3/6/2007, 4900 blk of S. Columbia Pike. At approximately 1149 hrs on 03/06/07, an officer witnessed a fight between two men. The officer separated the two individuals and then arrested the aggressor. Paulo Justiniano Okubo, 19, of Woodbridge, was charged with assault and battery. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 3/5/2007, 1000 block of N. Quincy St. At approximately 1830 hrs on 03/05/07, a 14-year-old male observed a man in a library who was exposing himself. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male, approximately 45 years old, 6 ft. 2 in. tall, 220 lbs, with a shaved head, wearing white button-down shirt and khaki pants. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 3/5/2007, 5700 blk of N. Carlyn Springs Rd. Between 0830 hrs and 1842 hrs on 03/05/07, someone entered a home and a basement apartment and took jewelry, cash and checks. PEEPING TOM, 3/5/2007, 3800 blk of S. Columbia Pike. At approximately 1935 hrs on 03/05/07, a male resident saw a man with his face pressed against a bathroom window. The resident punched and shattered the window as he tried to get to the suspect, but the man ran off. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, unknown age, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, with an average build. He was wearing a black winter knit cap, tan jacket and dark pants. SEXUAL ASSAULT, 3/5/2007, 1500 blk of N. Key Blvd. At approximately 2145 hrs on 03/05/07, a woman was walking when a man came up behind her and touched her on the buttocks. The victim turned to confront the suspect who then walked away. He is described as a black male in the 30’s, approximately 5 feel 10 inches tall and 200 lbs. He had short black hair and was wearing black pants and a dark coat. ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 3/4/2007, 4600 blk of N. Old Dominion Drive. Between 1130 hrs on 03/03/07 and 1000 hrs on 03/04/07, someone attempted to gain entry to a residence by kicking a back door. Nothing was taken. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/4/2007, 4300 blk of N. Wilson Blvd. Between 0130 hrs and 1330 hrs on 03/04/07, someone entered the manager’s office in a restaurant and took cash from the safe. ROBBERY BY FORCE, 3/4/2007, 5100 blk of S. 7th Rd. Between 2130 hrs and 2135 hrs on 03/04/07, a man came up behind a woman, knocked her to the ground and wrestled her purse away from her. The suspect then fled on foot. He is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black hat, black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The victim suffered minor injuries during the robbery. EXPOSURE, 3/3/2007, 2600 blk of S. Eads St. At approximately 0807 hrs on 03/03/07, a woman walking down the street was approached by a man in a dark green or dark gray compact car. While asking the victim for directions the suspect exposed himself. When the victim said she was going to call police the suspect drove off. He is described as a Hispanic male in his 30’s. Between 0145 hrs and 0215 hrs on 03/03/07, a woman was walking towards her home when a man came up behind her, grabbed her purse off her shoulder and pushed her to the ground. The suspect fled on foot. He is described as a young, light-skinned male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, 175 lbs. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and baggy blue jeans. ATTMEPTED BURGLARY, 3/2/2007, 400 blk of N. George Mason Drive. Between 2300 hrs and 2332 hrs on 03/02/07, a resident of an apartment reported that while she was sleeping a man removed a window screen, poked his head inside her bedroom and then fled. BREAKING & ENTERING, 3/2/2007, 400 blk of N. George Mason Drive. At approximately 2332 hrs on 03/02/07, someone entered an apartment through a kitchen window. A resident heard the suspect walk around the home and then exit through a living room window. Nothing was taken. BURGLARY, 3/2/2007, 4900 blk of N. 19TH St. Between 1815 hrs on 03/01/07 and 0800 hrs on 03/02/07, someone smashed a basement window of a house under renovation and took two expensive tools. The suspect apparently gained entry to the home by breaking a glass pane in a side door. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/28/2007, 3600 block of N. 10th St. At approximately 1300 hrs on 02/28/07, a man entered an unsecured apartment and took a purse. The owner of the purse immediately discovered the theft and notified the police. An officer located the suspect nearby in possession of the victim’s items and arrested him. Mitchell G. Washington Blvd. At approximately 0630 hrs on 02/27/07, a woman saw a man looking in the bathroom window of her apartment. The man fled after being seen. The suspect is described as a light-skinned male wearing a dark hood. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 2/27/2007, 900 and 1100 blocks of N. Glebe Rd. Between 0930 hrs and 1900 hrs on 02/27/07, someone broke into 3 vehicles in parking garages by breaking windows and took various items including a GPS unit and a laptop computer. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2/26/2007, 3400 block of S. 25th St. At approximately 1310 hrs on 02/26/07, a man was observed exposing himself while sitting in a parked, black Honda. The suspect is described as a white, Hispanic male, 25 to 35 years old, stocky, with short hair, wearing a white t-shirt. FELONY HIT AND RUN, 2/25/2007, N. Sycamore St./Lee Hwy. At approximately 1325 hrs on 02/25/07, a black SUV southbound on N. Sycamore St. rear-ended a Honda Accord that was stopped at a traffic light, injuring the driver of the Accord. The SUV fled the scene westbound on Lee Hwy. FELONY HIT AND RUN, 2/25/2007, I-395 southbound at Glebe Rd. At approximately 0253 hrs on 02/25/07, a silver Jeep Wrangler on the exit ramp from southbound I-395 to Glebe Rd. rear-ended a Nissan Sentra and fled northbound on Glebe. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/25/2007, 4700 block of S. 8th St. Between 1030 hrs on 02/24/07 and 1240 hrs on 02/25/07, someone entered a home by cutting a window screen and took several items including cash and jewelry. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2/24/2007, 1200 block of N. Quinn St. At approximately 0300 hrs on 02/24/07, a man having a dispute with another man went into his apartment and grabbed a large kitchen knife. A family member in the apartment tried to keep the man from going back outside and was cut by the knife. The victim was transported to a local hospital with a laceration to the arm. Marlon Padilla-Gonzalez, 20, of Arlington, was charged with Malicious Wounding and held without bond. ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/24/2007, 3600 block of S. Glebe Rd. Between 2030 hrs on 02/24/07 and 1200 hrs on 02/25/07, someone damaged an apartment door and the surrounding door frame in an apparent attempt to break in. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/23/2007, 4400 block of N. 4th Rd. At approximately 0620 hrs on 02/23/07, a woman left her apartment door unlocked while she ran an errand. When the woman returned a few moments later, she discovered a man in her apartment. When the woman screamed, the man fled. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male in his 20’s, 5 ft.10 in. tall, 180 lbs, wearing a dark-colored zip-up fleece jacket, dark-colored pants, and a gray woolen hat with ear flaps. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/23/2007, 2900 block of N. 4th St. Between 1100 hrs and 1600 hrs on 02/23/07, someone entered a home by forcing a rear basement door and took cash and jewelry. ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/23/2007, 400 block of S. Pershing Dr. At approximately 1140 hrs on 02/23/07, a man arrived home and found a man on a ladder trying to open a window. When the resident confronted the man, he fled on foot. The suspect is described as a black male in his 30’s, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/22/2007, 2400 block of Clarendon Blvd. At approximately 2203 hrs on 02/22/07, it was discovered that someone broke into a storage room in an apartment building by removing the handle from the door and took at least two bicycles. FELONY HIT AND RUN, 2/22/2007, Washington Blvd. at exit to Pentagon South Parking At approximately 1552 hrs on 02/22/07, a yellow taxi cab traveling northbound on Washington Blvd. (Rt. 27) swerved from the left lane across two lanes to take the exit to Pentagon South Parking, striking a Toyota Highlander and pushing the Highlander into a Ford Expedition. The taxi cab fled the scene. The driver of the Expedition was transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries. ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/21/2007, 1000 block of S. Stuart St. Between 0630 hrs and 1730 hrs on 02/21/07, someone damaged an apartment door in an apparent attempt to break in. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY BY FORCE, 2/21/2007, 1300 block of S. George Mason Dr. At approximately 2000 hrs on 02/21/07, a 17-year-old boy walking through an alley was approached by two men. The men assaulted the boy and demanded his money. The victim was able to get away from his attackers and suffered only minor injuries to the face. Both suspects are described as unknown race males, 5’6” to 5’9” tall, wearing all black clothing including masks over their faces. FELONY HIT AND RUN / ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 2/21/2007, 900 block of northbound I-395. At approximately 1648 hrs on 02/21/07, a white minivan traveling northbound on I-395 merged late onto the ramp to the northbound HOV lanes, striking a Honda Accord. When the drivers stopped to speak with each other, the female driver of the minivan struck the driver of the Accord in the face then left the scene. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2/21/2007, 2300 block of N. 11th St. At approximately 2240 hrs on 02/21/07, a man was seen in the hallway of an apartment building punching and kicking a man on the floor. When officers arrived, they found both men inside of an apartment. The victim was transported to a local hospital with head injuries and the suspect was arrested. Kerin Oberto Castaneda-Orellana, 21, of Arlington was charged with Malicious Wounding and held without bond. BURGLARY, 2/21/2007, 3300 block of N. Washington Blvd. Between 0930 hrs and 1000 hrs on 02/21/07, someone entered a school by forcing a door and took wallets and cell phones from two unattended classrooms. ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/20/2007, 5300 block of Columbia Pike. Between 0825 hrs and 1830 hrs on 02/20/07, someone damaged the door knob and deadbolt lock on an apartment door in an apparent effort to break in. ABDUCTION, 2/19/2007, 1400 block of Lee Hwy. At approximately 1005 hrs on 02/19/07, a man with a gun got out of a red SUV and into a woman’s car. He forced her to drive away and later forced her to get into her trunk. The victim was later released unharmed by the man and was located by the police on I-66 at 1100 hrs. Detectives are investigating the incident and seeking witnesses. ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY, 2/19/2007, 4500 block of Wilson Blvd. At approximately 0645 hrs on 02/19/07, a woman walking down the street was grabbed from behind by a man. The man displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s purse. When the victim screamed, the suspect fled on foot. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, approximately 30 years old, 5’6” tall, 185 lbs, last seen wearing a black winter hat, black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and tan work boots. ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/19/2007, 800 block of S. Greenbrier St. Between 2230 hrs on 02/18/07 and 0520 hrs on 02/19/07, someone damaged an apartment door in an apparent attempt to break in. Entry was not gained. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 2/19/2007, 4200 block of Wilson Blvd. Between 1700 hrs on 02/17/07 and 0730 hrs on 02/19/09, someone entered a business by prying the lock on the front door and took cash. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 2/19/2007, 2100 blocks of N. Huntington St., N. Inglewood St. and N. Harrison St. and 5400 block of N. 21st St. Between 02/17/07 and 02/19/09, someone rummaged through 4 unlocked vehicles and took various items including cell phones, sunglasses, a portable GPS device, paperwork, and loose change. PEEPING TOM, 2/18/2007, 1000 block of N. Stuart St. At approximately 0155 hrs on 02/18/07, a man was seen looking into the window of an apartment. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’9” tall, wearing a dark, puffy jacket and a green hat. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 2/18/2007, 2800 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy. Between 1430 hrs and 2100 hrs on 02/18/07, someone broke into two vehicles in a hotel parking garage by smashing out windows. Cash was taken from one of the vehicles which may have also lost an Ipod and a laptop computer. It is unknown at this time if anything was taken from the second vehicle. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 2/18/2007, 2700 block of S. Adams St. Between 1800 hrs on 02/17/07 and 0945 on 02/18/07, someone broke into two vehicles in a parking garage by smashing out windows. An Ipod and Ipod accessories were taken from each vehicle. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 2/18/2007, 800 block of N. Glebe Rd. Between 1700 hrs on 02/17/07 and 2333 hrs on 02/18/07, someone entered a business by damaging the lock on the front door and may have taken cash. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 2/18/2007, 4200 block of Fairfax Dr. At approximately 0454 hrs on 02/18/07, a man was seen breaking into a business by disabling the lock on the front door. Officers responded and surrounded the building. When the officers announced their presence, the man fled out of a side door and was taken into custody. Dwayne Waddell Johnson AKA Kenneth Wayne Minor, 44, of Washington, D.C., was charged with Burglary, Possession of Burglarious Tools, and Grand Larceny and held without bond. Johnson also has current warrants for his arrest in other jurisdictions for Burglary, Escape, and Aggravated Assault While Armed. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2/18/2007, 300 block of N. Glebe Rd. At approximately 0209 hrs on 02/18/07, two men got in to an argument and one stabbed the other in the arm with a corkscrew. The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for a deep laceration. The suspect was located in the area and arrested. Mario Augusto Alfaro-Lopez, 20, of Arlington, was charged with Malicious Wounding and held without bond. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 2/18/2007, 900 block of N. Stuart St. Between 1930 hrs on 02/17/07 and 1000 hrs on 02/18/07, someone entered a business by prying the lock on the front door and took cash. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2/17/2007, 5000 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 1900 hrs on 02/17/07, a man leaving a restaurant was followed outside and attacked by a man with whom he had earlier argued. The suspect stabbed the victim twice in the abdomen then fled the scene in a white car, possibly a Toyota Corolla, occupied by several people. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect is described as a light-skinned male in his late 20’s to early 30’s, thin, with long, thin sideburns. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, a white shirt and blue jeans. ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/17/2007, 3600 block of Military Rd. At approximately 1256 hrs on 02/17/07, it was discovered that someone had damaged the rear door of a home in an unsuccessful attempt to break in. PEEPING TOM, 2/16/2007, 1500 block of S. 28th St. At approximately 0600 hrs on 02/16/07, a man was seen looking into windows in two apartment buildings. When confronted, the man ran to a nearby car and left. The suspect is described as an unknown race male wearing a black, full-face ski mask, a dark blue hip-length jacket, and black gloves. ARMED ROBBERY, 2/16/2007, 1700 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy. At approximately 2111 hrs on 02/16/07, a woman sitting on a bench outside of a hotel was approached by two men. One of the men produced a handgun and the other grabbed the victim’s purse. Both suspects fled on foot toward the Crystal City Metro station. A K-9 officer tracked to the Metro station and officers responded to that location. One suspect was located in the Metro station and eventually arrested. Darryn Xavier Thomas, 18, of Suitland, Maryland, was charged with Robbery and held without bond. The other suspect, who wielded the gun, is described as a light-skinned black male, 16 to 25 years old, 5’8” tall, slim, last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark sweatpants, a black cap and a dark face shield. ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY, 2/15/2007, 1600 blk of S. Glebe Rd. Between 1820 hrs and 1825 hrs on 02/15/07, a man armed with a gun entered a convenience store and demanded money. The suspect hit a male employee in the face with the gun. The employee threw merchandise at the suspect who then fired a round at the employee. The employee suffered minor injuries from the gunshot and was beaten again with the weapon. The suspect fled and nothing was taken from the store. Police quickly established a perimeter and a K-9 unit attempted a track, but the suspect was not located. He is described as a young, light-skinned male, approximately 5’8” and 160 lbs. RECOVERED STOLEN AUTO, 2/15/2007, 100 blk of S. Wise St. At approximately 1403 hrs on 02/15/07, A suspect who carjacked a vehicle in Prince George’s County bailed out of the vehicle in Arlington’s Penrose neighborhood and fled on foot. A friend of the victim had followed the stolen vehicle and stopped a passing officer. With the assistance of a Park Police helicopter, officers searched for the suspect with negative results. He is described as a black male, 14-16 years old, wearing a black, hooded Northface jacket, blue jeans and black shoes. ROBBERY BY FORCE, 2/13/2007, 5300 blk of S. Columbia Pike. Between 2120 hrs and 2134 hrs on 02/13/07, a woman waiting a bus stop was approached by a man who had been standing nearby. The man grabbed the woman’s purse and after a brief struggle the suspect took the purse and fled eastbound on Columbia Pike. The suspect is described as a thin back male, 18 to 23 years old, wearing dark baggy jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt and a baseball cap. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2/12/2007, 2000 block of S. Langley St. At approximately 2348 hrs on 02/12/07, two men got in to an argument. One of the men struck the other with his cane and fled the scene on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital with lacerations to the head and face. The suspect was located nearby and arrested. Clarence Edward Braswell, 58, of Arlington, was charged with Malicious Wounding and held without bond. ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 2/12/2007, 1400 block of Wilson Blvd. Between 1400 hrs on 02/10/07 and 1500 hrs on 02/12/07, someone damaged a rear door to a business in an apparent attempt to pry the door open. ROBBERY BY FORCE, 2/12/2007, 4600 block of Wilson Blvd. At approximately 0007 hrs on 02/12/07, a woman walking down the street was knocked to the ground from behind by a man. The man then kicked the victim, took her backpack, and fled on foot. The victim was not injured. The suspect is described as an unknown race male, 5’9” tall, thin, last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black gloves, and black sneakers. FELONY HIT AND RUN, 2/11/2007, 4600 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 2255 hrs on 02/11/07, a Honda Accord westbound on Columbia Pike rear-ended a Toyota Corolla that was stopped for a red light at S. Wakefield St. The Corolla was pushed forward into a Ford Crown Victoria and the Accord spun into a Toyota Camry. Occupants of the Corolla and the Crown Victoria were injured and the driver of the Accord got out of the car and fled on foot. Officers investigating the accident located the registered owner of the Accord at his home and observed that he also suffered minor injuries in the accident. Lester Omar Guzman, 28, of Alexandria, was charged with Felony Hit and Run and held without bond. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 2/11/2007, 800 block of N. Quincy St. Between 0900 hrs and 1415 hrs on 02/11/07, someone entered a construction site and broke into several storage containers by damaging the locks. Several power tools were taken. One possible suspect is a black male, 40 to 50 years old, 6’3” tall, 200 lbs, last seen wearing a blue or black coat, blue work pants, and a white hard hat. The man was driving a white cargo van. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2/11/2007, 900 block of N. Stuart St. At approximately 1730 hrs on 02/11/07, a man stood outside of a restaurant window and exposed himself to a woman sitting in the restaurant. When the victim alerted her friend, the man got on to a Metro bus which left the scene. BURGLARY, 2/11/2007, 3100 block of S. 17th Rd. At approximately 1308 hrs on 02/11/07, two men were discovered in a house under construction attempting to remove a piece of construction equipment. When confronted, the men fled in a blue Ford Expedition. Both suspects are described as black males in their 20’s and approximately 5’8” tall. One suspect was wearing blue overalls and a black hat and the other had a long, black coat and blue pants. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/9/2007, 1600 block of N. ARMED ROBBERY, 2/7/2007, 1500 block of Arlington Blvd. At approximately 1805 hrs on 02/07/07, a man entered a hotel, indicated to the clerk that he had a weapon and passed the clerk a note demanding money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the man left on foot. The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, 25 to 35 years old, 5’9” tall, 170 lbs, last seen wearing a dark blue winter jacket with a horizontal white stripe, a dark knit cap with white lettering, maroon gloves, and white tennis shoes. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/7/2007, 400 block of N. Kensington St. Between 0945 hrs and 1130 hrs on 02/07/07, someone entered a home by breaking a rear basement window and took a television, cash, and jewelry. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/7/2007, 300 block of N. Kensington St. Between 1000 hrs and 1215 hrs on 02/07/07, someone entered a home by breaking a front window and took several laptop computers, an MP3 player, a mountain bike, cash, and jewelry. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY / DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, 2/7/2007, 2800 block of N. Edison St. Between 1530 hrs on 02/05/07 and 1600 hrs on 02/07/07, someone entered a home under renovation by unknown means and did extensive damage to the house. ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/7/2007, 1200 block of N. Wayne St. Between 0830 hrs and 1930 hrs on 02/07/07, someone unsuccessfully attempted to break into an apartment by prying the door. ROBBERY BY FORCE, 2/6/2007, 4400 block of N. Pershing Dr. At approximately 0610 hrs on 02/06/07, a woman was walking west on N. Pershing Drive when a man walking in the opposite direction grabbed her purse. The suspect pushed the victim and ran away. The victim fell to the ground but was uninjured. The suspect was described as a 6’0” tall male, unknown race and age, wearing a blue hooded jacket and black pants. His face was partially covered with a scarf or mask. ARMED ROBBERY, 2/5/2007, 4800 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 1351 hrs on 02/05/07, a man entered a store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. After taking cash and two cell phones, the man fled on foot. Officers responded and quickly located surveillance cameras in the area which captured a man believed to be the robber and another man on tape as they drove from the scene. In the late evening, a search warrant was executed in the 4100 block of Locust Lane in Fairfax. Detectives located the two suspects as well as evidence linking them to the crime. Miguel Angel Aguilar, 26, and Jovel Antonio Aguilar, 34, both of Fairfax, were each charged with one count of Robbery and are being held without bond. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/5/2007, 4700 block of Wilson Blvd. Between 1000 hrs and 1130 hrs on 02/05/07, someone entered a home by breaking a rear kitchen window and took several items including a television, a computer, a camera, and jewelry. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY (SERIES), 2/5/2007, 2000-2500 blocks of Wilson Blvd. Between 1400 hrs on 02/03/07 and 1100 hrs on 02/05/07, someone broke into 7 businesses by disabling the locks on the doors and took cash. Jewelry and a camera were also taken from one of the businesses. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/4/2007, 5500 block of Columbia Pike. Between 0130 hrs and 0830 hrs on 02/04/07, someone entered an apartment via an unlocked door and moved items around. It does not appear that anything was taken. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/4/2007, 5800 block of Washington Blvd. At approximately 2230 hrs on 02/04/07, a man known to the resident broke into an apartment by smashing a window. The resident fled the apartment and the man was gone before officers arrived. A warrant is on file for Charles Bailey, 43, of no fixed address, for Burglary. Bailey is also wanted by the police for an earlier assault on the same resident. ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARY / PETIT LARCENY, 2/4/2007, 2400 block of S. Jefferson Davis Hwy. At approximately 1835 hrs on 02/04/07, a man entered a drug store and attempted to force open the security gate to the closed pharmacy area. After failing to get in to the pharmacy, the man took some items from the main part of the store and left without paying. The suspect is described as a black male, 6’2” tall, 200 lbs, wearing a black puffy winter jacket, a dark sweater with red stripes across the stomach, black jeans with “skulls and crossbones” on the legs, a winter knit cap with a short bill, dark boots and glasses. GRAND LARCENY AUTO, 2/4/2007, 5000 block of Wilson Blvd. At approximately 0300 hrs on 02/04/07, a woman getting ready to leave work started her 1999 Plymouth Voyager to warm it up. A few minutes later she discovered the Voyager had been stolen. Officers located the Voyager unoccupied in the 5100 block of Wilson Blvd. with two flat tires. A witness reported seeing a man park the Voyager and walk away on foot. The suspect was located nearby in possession of the key to the Voyager. Giovani Jorge Del Carpio, 31, of Fairfax, was charged with Grand Larceny and DUI and was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond. ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/3/2007, 1500 block of S. Crystal Dr. Between 0635 hrs on 02/02/07 and 0750 hrs on 02/03/07, someone attempted to enter two apartments in the same building by prying the doors. The doors were damaged but the attempts were unsuccessful. ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/3/2007, 1200 block of N. Nash St. At approximately 2240 hrs on 02/03/07, a security guard observed a man raising the door into an apartment building’s parking garage by hand. When confronted by the guard, the man fled on foot. It was then discovered that the garage door had earlier been disconnected from the inside and was disabled. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, 20 to 30 years old, 5’8” tall, 180 lbs., wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark blue jeans. FELONY HIT AND RUN, 2/3/2007, 3400 block of S. Four Mile Run Dr. At approximately 1916 hrs on 02/03/07, an Infiniti G35 traveling eastbound on S. Four Mile Run Dr. went through a red light and collided with a Ford tow truck southbound on S. Shirlington Rd. The Infiniti left the scene of the accident. The tow truck driver followed the Infiniti to a nearby garage in the 2800 block of S. Arlington Mill Rd. Officers arrived to investigate the accident and placed the driver of the Infiniti under arrest. Michael Steven Smith, 40, of Alexandria, was charged with Felony Hit and Run and DUI and held on $5,000 bond. ABDUCTION, 2/2/2007, 1500 block S. George Mason Dr. At approximately 2000 hrs on 02/02/07, a woman walking on the sidewalk was grabbed and pulled into the bushes by a man with a knife. The woman fought against her attacker and he fled on foot. The victim was treated at a local hospital for a laceration to the face. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male, approximately 35 years old, 5’9” tall, 160 lbs with black hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a dark blue winter jacket and white gloves. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/2/2007, Unit block of N. Granada St. Between 0810 hrs and 1236 hrs on 02/02/07, someone entered a home by prying the front door and took a laptop computer, an Ipod, DVDs, and jewelry. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 2/2/2007, 4600 block of N. Carlin Springs Rd. Between 0830 hrs and 0945 hrs on 02/02/07, someone entered the basement of a home by kicking in a door. It does not appear that the main part of the home was entered or that anything was taken. FELONY HIT AND RUN, 2/2/2007, I-395 southbound at Route 1 exit. At approximately 1926 hrs on 02/02/07, a white Ford van tried to pass an Acura in heavy traffic on southbound I-395. The van sideswiped the Acura and fled the scene of the accident. The victim observed the license plate on the van and the investigation is ongoing. ATTEMPTED BREAKING & ENTERING, 2/1/2007, 4600 blk of S. 31st Rd. Between 2300 hrs on 01/31/07 and 0600 hrs on 02/01/07, someone attempted to pry open the front door of a residence. BREAKING AND ENTERING, 2/1/2007, 600 blk of S. Greenbrier St. Between 0815 hrs and 1620 hrs on 02/01/07, someone broke into a home through a side door and took several items including a laptop computer, a video game system, video games, jewelry and cash. ROBBERY, 2/1/2007, 1200 blk of N. Glebe Rd. At approximately 2050 hrs on 02/01/07, a man walked into a hotel, implied he had a weapon and handed a note to an employee at the front desk demanding money. The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled on foot. ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 2/1/2007, 4600 blk of S. King St. At approximately 2355 hrs on 02/01/07, a convenience store employee stopped two male subjects from taking several cases of beer from the store. After the suspects left the store a third man entered and punched the employee in the face. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/31/2007, 200 block of S. Ivy St. Between 0806 hrs and 1304 hrs on 01/31/07, someone entered a home by forcing a rear door and took a video game console and several games. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/31/2007, 1500 block of N. Rhodes St. Between 1515 hrs and 1550 hrs on 01/31/07, someone entered an apartment and took two computers, a cell phone, an MP3 player, and cash. FELONY HIT AND RUN, 1/31/2007, 4200 block of Wilson Blvd. At approximately 1055 hrs on 01/31/07, a blue Chevy Aveo rear-ended an Isuzu Rodeo at a stop light, pushing the Rodeo into a Jeep Liberty. All three drivers initially got out of their vehicles but the driver of the Aveo got back in his car and left the scene. An officer stopped the damaged Aveo at the intersection of N. Garfield St. and N. 11th St. Donald R. Barrett, 36, of no fixed address, was charged with Felony Hit and Run and Driving on a Revoked License (Habitual Offender) and held on a $5,000 secured bond. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/30/2007, 2200 block of Clarendon Blvd. Between 0800 hrs and 2100 hrs on 01/30/07, someone entered an apartment by prying open the door and took jewelry. Three other residents in the same building reported that their apartment doors were damaged during the same time frame in apparent burglary attempts. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/30/2007, 200 block of S. Ivy St. Between 0813 hrs and 1645 hrs on 01/30/07, someone entered a home and took a large amount of coins from a bedroom. ROBBERY / SEXUAL BATTERY, 1/29/2007, 4600 block of King St. At approximately 1630 hrs on 01/29/07, a man approached a woman and offered to make repairs to her car for money. The man followed the woman to a nearby ATM where she withdrew money. Instead of fixing the car, the man touched the woman inappropriately and demanded her money. The woman complied and drove away but the man followed her until she threatened to call the police. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30 years old, 5’6”, 130 lbs (slim build), with brown hair, hazel eyes, and a boil or welt on his face. He was last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt, blue jeans, and sneakers, and left in a violet 4-door sedan with patches of rust and grey. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/29/2007, Unit block of N. Columbus St. Between 0700 hrs and 1615 hrs on 01/29/07, someone entered a home by forcing a door and took various items including a laptop computer, a camera, jewelry, and cash. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/28/2007, 1500 block of N. 19th St. At approximately 0300 hrs on 01/28/07 a man was found sleeping in the basement of a home. He fled before police arrived. ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/28/2007, 3800 block of N. 5th St. At approximately 0130 hrs on 01/28/07, a man was seen tampering with a screen on the back window of an apartment. When officers arrived they found the screen damaged with a crowbar on the ground nearby. One officer spotted the suspect in the area and followed him to a residence in the 4300 block of N. 4th St. Anibal Rodriguez-Castellanos, 27, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with Attempted Burglary and Possession of Burglarious Tools. He was held without bond. ROBBERY BY FORCE, 1/27/2007, Unit block of N. Thomas St. At approximately 0740 hrs on 01/27/07 a woman was walking down the street when an individual pushed her to the ground and took her purse. The suspect was wearing a blue hooded jacket and blue jeans. ROBBERY BY FORCE, 1/27/2007, 1200 block of N. Fillmore St. At approximately 0305 hrs on 01/27/07 two women were walking down the street when a man grabbed both of their purses and fled on foot. Officers quickly set up a perimeter and located the suspect in the 2300 block of N. 10th St. After an extensive foot chase, the suspect was apprehended in the 1300 block of N. Wayne St. Anthony Lee Robinson, 21, of Arlington, was charged with Robbery and Grand Larceny and held without bond. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/26/2007, Unit block of S. Edison St. Between 0830 hrs and 1850 hrs on 01/26/07, someone entered a home by breaking a window and took jewelry, cash, a laptop computer, a video game console, and home stereo equipment. BANK ROBBERY (ARMED), 1/25/2007, 2900 blk S. Glebe Rd. At approximately 1415 hrs on 01/25/07, a man armed with a handgun entered a bank and announced a robbery. He fled after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash. Police officers and K-9s searched for the suspect with no success. The suspect is described as a light-skinned male, 5’5” tall, wearing a black mask, black jacket, khaki pants, and black boots. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/25/2007, 500 blk N. Livingston St. Between 2200 hrs on 01/24/07 and 0802 hrs on 01/25/07, someone entered a home by shattering a sliding glass door and took cash. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/24/2007, 2500 blk N. 20th Rd. Between 0830 hrs on 01/23/07 and 1230 hrs on 01/24/07, someone entered an apartment by unknown means and took a television and computer software. PEEPING TOM, 1/23/2007, 1800 blk N. Rhodes St. At approximately 0625 hrs on 01/23/07, a woman taking a shower observed the lens of a camera pointing in her bathroom window. The woman screamed and the peeper left. There is no description of the suspect. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/23/2007, 6200 blk N. 30th St. Between 2330 hrs on 01/22/07 and 1230 hrs on 01/23/07, someone entered a home through an unlocked basement door and took a video game console, several video games, and a snowboard. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 1/23/2007, 2400 blk Wilson Blvd. Between 2200 hrs on 01/21/07 and 1000 hrs on 01/22/07, someone entered a restaurant by breaking the lock on a side door and took cash from the register and safe. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/20/2007, 2700 block of S. Veitch St. Between 2100 hrs on 01/19/07 and 0800 hrs on 01/20/07, someone entered an apartment and took a large amount of U.S. Savings Bonds. BANK ROBBERY, 1/20/2007, 1400 block of S. Eads St. At approximately 0921 hrs on 01/20/07, a man armed with a gun entered a bank, announced a robbery, jumped the counter and took money from the teller drawers. He then jumped back over the counter and fled the bank. The suspect is described as a black male, about 30 years old and 5’11” tall. He was wearing a black ski mask and black clothing. ARMED ROBBERY, 1/20/2007, 6100 block of N. Wilson Blvd. Between 1902 hrs and 1914 hrs on 01/20/07, two women were walking west on Wilson Blvd. when two men approached them. One of the suspects snatched a victim’s purse and took off running. The second suspect then grabbed the arm of the other victim but she broke free and ran. The second suspect then grabbed the first victim and pulled out a knife. When he realized she no longer had a purse, he kicked her and threw her to the ground and then fled. The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 40’s, 5’7” tall, 170 lbs. The second suspect is a Hispanic male in his 20’s, 5’5” tall, 150 lbs. He was wearing a puffy dark jacket with red and white lettering. ARMED ROBBERY, 1/20/2007, 5600 blk of S. 8th Road. At approximately 0645 hrs on 01/20/07, a man was walking to work when he felt someone grab him from behind. He was thrown to the ground and assaulted by three black males. One of them held a knife to the victim’s throat. The victim says the suspects went through his pockets and took his wallet, then went down the street and robbed another victim. The second robbery was not reported to police. ASSAULT & BATTERY/APPREHENSION, 1/19/2007, 1500 block of N. Wilson Blvd. Between 1500 and 1505 hrs on 01/19/07, employees in a store confronted a man who appeared to be concealing merchandise under his coat. Packs of gum fell out of the jacket. The suspect then fled the store and pushed an employee out of the way when he tried to stop him. But the employee didn’t give up and chased the suspect down the street to the Rosslyn Metro Station. When officers arrived the employee pointed out the suspect standing in a Metro car and he was taken into custody. Joseph Allen Gray, 47, of Washington, D.C. was charged with assault & battery. He was also banned from the store. ARMED ROBBERY, 1/19/2007, 5000 block of S. Columbia Pike Between 2118 hrs and 2121 hrs on 01/19/07, a man armed with a gun entered a store, jumped the counter and forced the employees to open the cash register. The suspect took money from the register, jumped back over the counter and fled. He is described as a light skin black male, about 5’9” tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a black mask, black jacket, blue jeans and black sneakers. INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT, 1/19/2007, 1000 blk of N. Montana St. Between 1010 hrs and 1015 hrs on 01/19/07, a tree trimmer was struck and killed by a falling tree branch in the Dominion Hills neighborhood. The victim was part of a seven member crew that was trimming six large trees behind a home. During a sudden gust of wind, the workers heard a loud cracking sound and tried to run to safety. A large branch, from a tree that was not being trimmed at the time, broke off and fell the ground, striking the victim in the back of the head. He has been identified as Jose Elias Lopez, 30, of Vienna. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 1/18/2007, 2700 blk S. 19th St. Between 1700 hrs on 01/17/07 and 1000 hrs on 01/18/07, someone entered an unsecured house under construction and took a heat pump. BURGLARY, 1/18/2007, 2500 block of N. 20th Road. Between 1200 hrs and 2000 hrs on 01/18/07, someone entered a ground floor apartment, possibly through an open bathroom window, and took cash and a laptop computer. ATTEMPTED BREAKING AND ENTERING, 1/17/2007, 4700 Block of N. Lee Highway. Sometime between 2005 hrs on 01/16/07 and 0800 hrs on 01/17/07, someone attempted to gain entry through the back door of a store by tampering with the lock. Nothing appeared to have been taken. FELONY HIT AND RUN, 1/17/2007, N. Glebe Rd at N. Piedmont St. Between 1910 hrs and 1915 hrs on 01/17/07, a car rear-ended a vehicle waiting to make a left turn. The suspect vehicle did not stop and continued onto Piedmont St. where it struck six parked cars. The suspect vehicle was later located, unoccupied, in the area of 4th and N. Nelson Streets. A K-9 unit conducted a track and found the suspect about a block away with the keys to the vehicle in his pocket. David Sanchez Cortez, 26, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with Felony Hit and Run and six counts of Misdemeanor Hit and Run. Cortez was also found to be Driving Without a License and he was wanted by the Arlington County Sheriff’s Office on an FTA warrant for a previous Driving Without a License charge. ROBBERY, 1/16/2007, 5100 block of S. 8th Rd. At approximately 2323 hrs on 01/16/07, a man was approached by three black men who attacked him and took his backpack, which contained his cellular telephone and wallet. VANDALISM TO AUTO (SERIES), 1/15/2007, 1700 block of S. 12th St., 1400 block of S. Barton St. and 1300 block of S. Rolfe St. Between 1810 hrs and 2016 hrs on 01/15/07, someone punctured the tires of several vehicles parked on the street. A witness stated he saw four individuals walking near a vehicle and one of them reach down and puncture the tire. ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 1/15/2007, 900 block of S. George Mason Dr. Sometime between 1600 hrs on 01/13/07 and 0950 hrs on 01/15/07, someone attempted to enter an office. It does not appear any items were taken. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 1/15/2007, 1100 S. Hayes St. Sometime between 1700 hrs on 01/12/07 and 1800 hrs on 01/15/07, someone broke into the storage area for a store at Pentagon City Mall. The subject stole several dozen pairs of shoes. ATTEMPTED SEXUAL ASSAULT, 1/15/2007, 2300 block of S. Columbia Pike. At approximately 1025 hrs on 01/15/07, a man walked into a business, grabbed the victim by the wrist and tried to force her into the back room. The victim was able to break free and the suspect fled. The suspect is described as a black male approximately 25 years of age, 5’6”, 150 lbs., wearing a green casual suit. ARMED ROBBERY, 1/15/2007, 2100 block of S. Ives St. At approximately 2324 hrs on 01/15/07, a man pointed a gun at the victim and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled. The suspect is described as a black male with a mustache, approximately 25 years of age, 6’2” tall, wearing a black hooded jacket and dark jeans. It’s possible he left the area in a brown Ford Crown Victoria. ROBBERY, 1/14/2007, 1200 S. Joyce St. At approximately 2300 hrs on 01/14/07, a woman was stopped by two men as she was walking towards the Pentagon City Metro Station. One of the suspects had his hand on what appeared to be the handle of a handgun in his right front pocket. The victim handed over her driver’s license and a debit card before the suspects let her pass. One of the men is a black male, possibly in his 20’s, at least 6’1” tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a black hooded puffy coat, a black ski mask, black baggy jeans and black boots. The second suspect is described as a black male in his 20’s, 5’10” tall with a thin build. He was also wearing a black ski mask, a military fatigue coat, and black boots. GRAFFITI (SERIES), 1/14/2007, 3400, 3600, 3800 and 3900 blocks of Wilson Blvd. and 800 block of Monroe St. Between 2100 hrs on 01/13/07 and 0800 hrs on 01/14/07, someone spray-painted graffiti on eight buildings. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 1/14/2007, 1600 block of N. Danville St. Sometime between 0020 hrs on 01/14/07 and 0024 hrs on 01/14/07, a man was seen exposing himself outside the basement window of a resident’s home. The suspect is described as a white male wearing blue jeans. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 1/14/2007, 1800 block of N. Hartford St. At approximately 2240 hrs on 01/14/07, a man was seen looking into a home and exposing himself. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’10”, with dark shaggy hair and a lean body type. He was wearing a long-sleeve light colored shirt and blue jeans. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 1/14/2007, 1600 block of S. Glebe Rd. At approximately 0229 hrs on 01/14/07, a man hit his pregnant girlfriend in the face and then kicked her in the stomach. When a roommate attempted to stop him, the suspect hit him in the head with a candle holder causing a deep laceration to the roommate’s forehead. Alexis Zelaya, 25, of Arlington, was taken into custody for Domestic Assault and Malicious Wounding. LARCENY FROM AUTO (POSSIBLE SERIES), 1/12/2007, 600 block of S. 25th St and 900 block of S. 26th St. Between 1800 hrs on 01/11/07 and 1100 hrs on 01/12/07 someone smashed the driver’s side windows of two vehicles and took two GPS Devices. ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 1/12/2007, 1100 S. Hayes St. Sometime between 2130 hrs on 01/11/07 and 1200 hrs on 01/12/07, someone attempted to gain entry into a business at Pentagon City Mall by prying open the rear door. ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY, 1/12/2007, 400 block of N. Thomas St. Sometime between 1751 hrs and 1802 hrs on 01/12/07, a man selling phone cards was approached by a black male who brandished what appeared to be two handguns and attempted to take the victim’s bag of phone cards. After a struggle, the suspect fled, dropping one of the guns as he left. The weapon turned out to be a BB gun. The suspect is described as a black male in his 20’s, approximately 5’7” tall, 160 lbs., wearing a camouflage jacket and blue jeans. ROBBERY, 1/12/2007, 5800 block of N. Washington Blvd. At approximately 1735 hrs on 01/12/07 a man walked into the back door of a drug store, passed a note implying he had a weapon and demanded prescription drugs. The suspect left after the pharmacy clerk complied with his request. He is described as a white male in his 20’s approximately 6’0”, 160 lbs, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and a white cloth over his face. SEXUAL ASSAULT, 1/11/2007, 4200 blk S. Four Mile Run Dr. (service road). At approximately 1945 hrs on 01/11/07, a woman walking on the street was approached from behind by a man. The man grabbed the woman and threatened her with a knife. The two suspects assaulted the victim and took his leather jacket, wallet and cell phone. Pollard St. At approximately 1720 hrs on 01/11/07, a man in a black 4-door car drove up to a group of juvenile girls and engaged them in conversation. When two of the girls approached the car, they saw that the man was exposing himself. The girls ran away from the car and the man drove away. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 30’s with a slim build and short brown hair, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. One of the men hit the woman and knocked her to the ground while the second man grabbed the boy. The men searched through the woman’s purse, but fled without taking anything. Suspect #1 is described as a dark-skinned male in his early 20’s, 5’11” tall, 180 lbs, with a medium build, wearing a grey jogging suit and a black hat. Wayne St. At approximately 0112 hrs on 01/07/07 two men grabbed a woman’s purse as she was walking with a friend on a footpath which cuts across Fairfax Dr. The men fled south along the footpath. Suspect #1 is described as a black male in his early 20’s, approximately 5’10” tall with a thin build and short braided hair, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. Suspect #2 is described as a white male, possibly Hispanic or Asian, wearing a dark jacket and blue jeans. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY BY FORCE, 1/7/2007, 900 blk N. Wayne St. At approximately 0050 hrs on 01/07/07 a man attempted to take a woman’s purse while she was walking home. The suspect ran when the victim screamed. The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20’s or early 30’s, approximately 5’8” tall, 200 lbs. and stocky, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark colored pants. The man attempted to get on top of a woman who was sleeping on a couch. The victim fought the man off and he fled. Fairfax Dr. At approximately 2008 hrs on 01/05/07 two men attempted to take a woman’s purse as she walked across the foot bridge at Rt. 50. The victim struggled with the men and fell down the stairs to the foot bridge. The men fled west on Fairfax Dr. on foot. Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanic male not more than 20 years of age wearing a black jacket. Suspect #2 is described as a Hispanic male not more than 20 years of age wearing a brown jacket. At approximately 1117 hrs on 01/05/07, a woman was struck by a vehicle in the parking garage of Ballston Common Mall. Wilson Blvd. Sometime between 2330 hrs on 01/03/07 and 0650 hrs on 01/04/07, someone gained entry into a restaurant by disabling the door lock. The owner stated nothing appeared to be taken. BURGLARY, 1/4/2007, 3000 block of N. Wilson Blvd. Sometime between 2330 hrs on 01/03/07 and 0650 hrs on 01/04/07, someone gained entry into a restaurant by prying the lock on the front door. The perpetrator took an undisclosed amount of cash and change. ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 1/4/2007, 2600 block S. 27th Rd. At approximately 1730 hrs on 01/04/07 two men got into a verbal altercation which led to one of the men swinging a knife at the other man. The victim escaped in a cab without injury. The suspect, James Tyler, 46, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with attempted malicious wounding. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 1/3/2007, 3600 blk S. Glebe Rd. During the period from 11/23/06 to 01/03/07, someone has broken into a construction site numerous times. A total of 15 wall-mounted plasma televisions have been stolen. Oak St. Sometime between 1200 hrs on 12/31/06 and 1030 hrs on 01/01/07, someone broke into an apartment storage unit. Several lighting fixtures were stolen. GRAND LARCENY, 1/1/2007, 1500 block of Wilson Blvd. Between 1845 hrs and 1848 hrs on 01/01/07, a man took the victim’s purse from her chair while she was eating at a restaurant. At approximately 1922 hrs a black male in his mid-20’s, wearing a black and white polo shirt, attempted to use the victim’s credit cards at a pharmacy on N. 15th St. ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/1/2007, 2200 block of N. Wilson Blvd. At approximately 0012 hrs on 01/01/07, an individual attempted to gain entry through a patio sliding door. Subject was taken into custody at the scene. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 1/1/2007, 4100 block of N. Old Glebe Rd. Between 1715 hrs on 12/31/06 and 1430 hrs on 01/01/07, someone entered a church by breaking a window. Nothing appeared to have been taken. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY, 1/1/2007, 5900 block of N. 9th St. Between 1200 hrs on 12/30/06 and 1545 hrs on 01/01/07, someone broke into a home by breaking a porch window. Numerous items were taken including a laptop computer and a plasma television. GRAND LARCENY, 1/1/2007, 1800 block of Wilson Blvd. Between 1845 hrs and 2020 hrs on 01/01/07, a man took the victim’s purse from her chair while she sat at the bar in a restaurant. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 1/1/2007, 2900 block of N. Wilson Blvd. At approximately 0100 hrs on 01/01/07, a man was struck in the head with a glass object by another man inside a bar. The subject was apprehended nearby a short time later for another offense. Raymond Rothwell, 23, of Alexandria, was charged with malicious wounding. MALICIOUS WOUNDING OF A POLICE OFFICER, 1/1/2007, 2200 block of N. Pershing Dr. Between 0200 hrs and 0215 hrs on 01/01/07, an off duty officer saw two men dragging another man. The suspects were also pulling on the doors of closed businesses, and one kicked a car window. When the officer confronted the men they claimed they were helping their drunk friend get home. After the officer encouraged the men to leave the area and identified himself as a police officer, one of the suspects assaulted the officer. While the officer was trying to subdue the first suspect the other two men also pulled and hit him. The first suspect also tried to put his finger into the officer’s eye socket, causing a severe abrasion. When the officer got back on his feet he called 911. Officers responded and took all three suspects into custody. Paul Rosenblatt, 23, of Richmond, VA, was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer. 22 year old Clayton Jeremy Fields of Keswick, VA, was charged with malicious wounding of an officer, assault and battery on an officer, and impersonating a police officer. Dmitri Isakovski, 23, of Arlington, was charged with assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.
