DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 3/31/2009, the Langston-Brown and Glebewood Neighborhoods. Between 8 pm on March 29, and 7 am on March 30, an unknown subject punctured at least one tire on 24 vehicles in the same neighborhood. There is no suspect description. ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/31/2009, 2300 block of S. Eads Street. Between 6 pm on March 87, and 6:30 am on March 30, an unknown subject attempted to break into a cleaners’ by smashing a glass door. There are no known suspects. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/31/2009, 2800 block of S. Eads Street. Between 10 pm on March 29, and 9 am on March 30, an unknown subject broke into a restaurant and stole money. There is no suspect description. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/31/2009, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. Between 2 am on March 29, and 6 am on March 30, an unknown subject broke into parking kiosk and stole money. There are no known suspects. BURGLARY, 3/31/2009, 2100 block of S. Nelson Street. On March 30 at 5:40 am, an unknown man entered a house. He was discovered by the residents and fled. The suspect was an African American male. LATE ROBBERY, 3/31/2009, 4700 block of Columbia Pike. On March 30 at 7:15 pm, a man was approached by three unknown men. One subject pushed a hard object against the victim’s back and demanded money, which the victim gave to the suspects. The suspects then left the area and the victim called the police several hours later. The three suspects were white Hispanic men. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3/30/2009, 5700 block of N. 5th Street. Between 10 pm on March 27, and 12 pm on March 28, two vehicles in the same block were broken into. Various items were stolen. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3/30/2009, 3000 block of Wilson Boulevard. On March 26 between 7 pm and 10 pm, at least two vehicles in a parking lot were broken into, and two laptop computers were stolen. There is no suspect description. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/30/2009, 2200 block of N. Westmoreland Street. Between 7 pm on March 27, and 8 am on March 28, an unknown subject broke into a cleaners’ by smashing a glass door. There are no known suspects. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/30/2009, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. Between 10 pm on March 26, and 9 am on March 27, an unknown subject broke into business and stole money. There is no suspect description. DISCHARGING A FIREARM IN A DWELLING, 3/30/2009, 800 block of S. 15th Street. On March 28 at 2 am, a man was cleaning a handgun and accidently discharged a round into his apartment wall. The round entered two other apartments and no one was injured. Gary Bradley, 59, of Arlington, was charged with Discharging a Firearm in a Dwelling. He was released on an unsecured bond of $1,000. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 3/30/2009, 300 block of N. Glebe Road. On March 28 at 9 pm, a man was approached by an unknown male who asked him for money. The victim did not have any, and the suspect displayed a knife, and then walked away. The suspect was white Hispanic male, 5’4”, wearing dark clothing. ROBBERY, 3/30/2009, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. On March 29 at noon, a woman was sitting on a bench in a mall when an unknown subject grabbed her cell phone from her hand and fled. The suspect was a teenage African American male, 5’4”, 140 lbs. He was wearing an oversized gray sweatshirt and jeans. MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 3/30/2009, 4000 block of N. 17th Street. On March 27 at 11 pm, a woman and man argued over money. The woman stabbed the man in the arm with a knife. The victim was transported to the hospital, and police located the suspect. Cindy Wade, 30, of Arlington, was charged with Malicious Wounding. She was held without bond. BURGLARY, 3/27/2009, 5600 block of Wilson Boulevard. On March 26 between 6 am and 2:30 pm, an unknown subject entered a house and stole beer from a refrigerator. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO, 3/25/2009, 2200 block of S. Eads Street. On March 24 at 8:30 pm, an unknown subject broke into a vehicle. The owner witnessed the crime and yelled at the suspect. The suspect then fled to a waiting car. Both the suspect and the driver of the fleeing vehicle were African American men. The suspect vehicle was a dark colored Honda Accord sedan. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3/25/2009, 2600 and 2700 blocks of S. Veitch Street. On March 24 between midnight at 4:30 am, at least seven vehicles in the area were broken into. Various items were stolen. One vehicle was stolen and recovered several blocks away. One vehicle that was not in working condition was found with the hood up. There is no suspect description. ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 3/25/2009, 800 block of S. 15th Street. On March 24 between 7:30 pm and 6:30 pm, an unknown subject attempted to forcibly enter an apartment. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES),, 3/23/2009, 2800 block of S. Randolph Street On March 20 between 7 pm and 11 pm, at least two vehicles in a parking garage were broken into. Various items were stolen. There is no suspect description. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/23/2009, 1100 block of Wilson Boulevard Between 7 pm on March 20, and 6:30 am on March 21, an unknown subject broke into business and stole money. There suspect description. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/23/2009, 1700 block of Clarendon Boulevard Between 9 pm on March 18, and 9 am on March 19, an unknown subject broke into an office suite and stole a television. There are no known suspects. BURGLARY (SERIES), , 3/23/2009, 4500 block of S. 31st Street On March 21 at 8 am, three storage units were found damaged. An unknown suspect broke into the units and stole various items. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY, 3/23/2009, 600 block of S. Carlin Springs Road On March 21 between 6 pm and 8:30 pm, an unknown subject entered and apartment and stole various items. There is no suspect description. UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY OF VEHICLE, 3/23/2009, 1700 block of N. Lynn Street On March 20 at 10:30 am, witnesses reported seeing a man attempting to enter various vehicles. Police located the suspect. Ronald Hunt, 56, of no fixed, was charged with Attempting to Enter a Vehicle without Permission. He was held on a $1,500 bond. ATTEMPTED SEXUAL ASSAULT, 3/23/2009, 1200 block of S. Eads Street On March 20 at 7:30 pm, a woman was walked by an unknown male and he made sexual comments to her. He then approached her and attempted to grab her buttocks. The victim ran and called police. The suspect is an African American male, 5’4”, 170 lbs. He was wearing black and red workout clothing and a black and red baseball cap. UNLAWFUL ENTRY-ARREST, 3/20/2009, 5700 block of Washington Boulevard. On March 19 at 8:30 pm, a man attempted to break into an apartment by kicking in a door. He then broke a window and started entering the apartment. Police located the suspect a short time later. Sean Satkus, 42, of Arlington, was charged with unlawful Entry. He was released on his own recognizance. POLICE IMPERSONATION-ARREST, 3/20/2009, 3300 block of Columbia Pike. On March 19 at 4:30 pm, a man pulled a vehicle over by flashing his high beam headlights and holding a badge out the car window. The suspect identified himself to the victims as a federal agent and talked about writing the driver a ticket. Police discovered the suspect had no law enforcement powers and was actually a security guard. Norman Brown, 50, of Arlington, was charged with Fraud-Police Impersonation. He was held on a $5,000 bond. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 3/20/2009, 3600 block of S. Glebe Road. On March 19 at 3:30 pm, an unknown man entered a restaurant and attempted to force an employee to open the register. The employee fled, and the suspect attempted to get money from another employee. The suspect was unsuccessful, and fled the store on foot. The suspect is an African American male in his 30’s, 6’ tall and 200 lbs. He was wearing a yellow rain coat, jeans, and boots. ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 3/19/2009, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. On March 18 at 2 am, a man kicked another man in the face. Police located the suspect near the area of the assault. Khiyar Beshier, 29, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and Battery. He was held on a $2,500 bond. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 3/19/2009, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. On March 18 at 12:30 am, a group of people in a bar started fighting. A bystander was struck by a bar stool and assaulted. The suspect fled the area. The three suspects are African American men in their early 20’s. BURGLARY-ARREST, 3/18/2009, 4900 block of N. 19th Street. On March 17 8:30 am, a woman returned to her apartment to find a neighbor inside, attempting to steal various items. Police located the suspect. Lisa Johnson, 46, of Arlington, was charged with Burglary. She was held on a $2,000 bond. ASSAULT ON POLICE-ARREST, 3/18/2009, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. On March 18 at 1:45 am, an officer intervened in an argument and a female assaulted him. Jessica Flores, 22, of Arlington, was charged with Assault on Law Enforcement. She was held on a $2,500 bond. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 3/18/2009, 600 block of N. Glebe Road. On March 17 at 10 pm, a man was leaving a bar when he was struck in the head with an unknown object. There is no suspect description. LARCENY (SERIES), 3/16/2009, 1200 block of S. Joyce Street. On March 15 between 1:30 pm and 3 pm, lockers at a gym were broken into and various items were stolen. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY, 3/16/2009, 1000 block of S. Walter Reed Drive. On March 12 between 2 pm and 10:30 pm, an unknown male entered an apartment and stole several items. There is no suspect description. RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY, 3/16/2009, I-395 at Washington Boulevard. On March 13 at 4:30 pm, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a stolen temporary license plate. Tyrone White, Jr., 25, of Suitland, MD, was charged with Receiving Stolen Property and No valid Registration. He was released on summons. ROBBERY-ARREST, 3/16/2009, 700 block of S. Florida Street. On March 15 at 8 pm, a man assaulted his estranged wife and stole her cell phone. Police located the suspect shortly afterward. Jose Turcios Giron, 44, of Arlington, was charged with Robbery. He was held without bond. ASSAULT ON POLICE, 3/16/2009, 2700 block of Jefferson Davis Highway. On March 14 at 11 pm, police were dealing with a group of intoxicated and disorderly people when one woman assaulted an officer. Jessica Agudelo, 23, of Burke, was charged with Assault on Law Enforcement and Drunk in Public. She was held on a $1,500 bond. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 3/16/2009, 5500 block of Columbia Pike. On March 14 at 12:30 am, a man was stabbed while at a party. His wounding were not life threatening. The suspects are known. GRAND LARCENY AUTO-RECOVERED, 3/11/2009, 3400 block of N. 17th Street. Between 9:30 pm on March 9, and 9 am on March 10, an unknown subject stole a vehicle that had been left unlocked, with the key under the seat. The vehicle was found parked a few blocks away. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3/11/2009, 1300 block of S. Joyce Street. On March 10 between 5:30 pm and 8 pm, an unknown subject broke into two vehicles in a parking lot and stole various items. There are no known suspects. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3/11/2009, 800 block of S. Army Navy Drive. Om March 10 between 7 pm and 8:30 pm, two vehicles were broken into in a parking garage. Electronics were stolen. Between 10 pm on March 9, and 9 am on March 10, three vehicles were broken into with various items were stolen. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3/10/2009, 900 block of N. Quintana and Quantico Streets. On March 9 between 3 am and 7 am, five vehicles were entered, one vehicle was stolen, and another stolen vehicle was recovered at the scene. On March 9 between 7:30 am and 11:30 am, an unknown entered an apartment and stole electronics. There is no suspect description. ROBBERY, 3/10/2009, 1500 block of S. Fern Street. On March 9 at 3:45 pm, an officer observed two men involved in a physical fight. During investigation police found that one man had been attempting to rob the other while assaulting the victim. Maceo Boyce, 29, of no fixed address, was charged with Robbery. He was held without bond. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3/9/2009, 800 block of S. Army Navy Drive. On March 8 between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm, four vehicles were broken into in the mall parking garage. Several items were stolen. There are no known suspects. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3/9/2009, 200 block of S. Carlin Springs Road. On March 6 between 6 pm and 8:30 pm, three vehicles were broken into. Various items were stolen. There are no known suspects. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3/9/2009, 1200 block of N. Veitch Street. On March 7 between 11:30 am and 1 pm, two vehicles in a parking garage were broken into. GPS units were stolen from one vehicle. There is no suspect description. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY-ARREST, 3/9/2009, 600 block S. Manchester Street. On March 8 at 11:30 pm, police responded to a park for a car driving off road. Police found damage to several baseball fields in the park. The suspect was located. Brendan Hurley, 22, of Arlington, was charged with Felony Destruction of Property. He was held on a $2,500 bond. UNLAWFUL ENTRY-ARREST, 3/9/2009, 5200 block N. 28th Street. On March 7 at 3 am, police responded to an alarm at a school. While searching the property they located two juvenile suspects. Petitions are now pending. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/9/2009, 2300 block of Columbia Pike. Between 10:30 pm on March 6, and 2:30 am on March 7, an unknown subject forcibly entered a business and stole several items. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY, 3/9/2009, 1200 block of S. Rolfe Street. On March 6 at 2 pm, an unknown male distracted the homeowner while two other men entered a house and stole various items. All three suspects were white men with dark hair. Two suspects were in their 50’s, while the third was approximately 35 years old. BURGLARY, 3/9/2009, 500 block of N. Thomas Street. On March 6 between 9 am and 2:30 pm, an unknown male entered an apartment and stole several items. The suspect is a white male of unknown age wearing a black jacket and jeans. ROBBERY, 3/9/2009, 800 block of S. Dinwiddie Street. On March 8 at 3:30 am, a woman was assaulted and robbed by man she knew. Warrants are outstanding. BURGLARY, 3/6/2009, 600 block of Carlin Springs Road. Sometime between 8:30 am on March 1, and 8 pm on March 2, an unknown woman entered an apartment and stole several items. There is no further suspect description. ROBBERY, 3/6/2009, Unit block of N. Glebe Road. On March 6 at 2:30 am a man handed his wallet at an acquaintance. When he asked for it back, the suspect pushed him and ran. The suspect is known. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/5/2009, 1600 block of S. Glebe Road. On March 4 between 7:30 pm and 11 pm, an unknown subject forced entry into a business and stole money. There is no suspect description. ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 3/5/2009, 600 block of S. 21st Street. On March 4 at 12:30 am a man threatened his roommate with a knife. Eric Bowen, 35, of Arlington, was charged with Attempted Malicious Wounding. He was held without bond. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3/4/2009, 6100 block of N. 30th and N. 29th Streets. On March 2 between 4:30 am and 5 am, two vehicles broken into. There is no suspect description. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/4/2009, 1800 block of N. Nash Street. Between 4 pm on February 26, and 7 am on March 2, an unknown subject entered a construction site and stole tools. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY, 3/4/2009, 1200 block of S. Taylor Street. On March 2 between 2 pm and 7 pm, an unknown subject entered an apartment and stole various items. There are no known suspects. BURGLARY, 3/4/2009, 4000 block of N. 24th Road. On March 2 at 2:45 am, an unknown male entered a residence and stole various items. The suspect gained access to the house by taking a key from the unlocked vehicle in the driveway of the residence. There are no known suspects. MISSILE INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING-ARREST, 3/4/2009, 4300 block of N. 4th Street. On March 2 at 1 am, a man threw a brick into a kitchen through a glass window. Several people were sitting in the kitchen at the time. Police apprehended the suspect. Oscar Ortiz, 26, of Arlington was charged with launching a Missile into an Occupied Dwelling. He was held without bond. ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 3/4/2009, 2500 block of Columbia Pike. On March 4 at 1:30 am a man assaulted a waitress and police responded to the scene. Michael McKeever, 27, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and Battery. He was held on a $1,800 bond. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3/2/2009, 1200 block of N. Veitch Street. Between 7:30 pm on February 26, and 3 pm on February 28, two vehicles in a parking garage were broken into. GPS units were stolen from both vehicles. There is no suspect description. ROBBERY, 3/2/2009, 300 block of N. Glebe Road. On February 27 at 10:30 pm, a male stated that he had been assaulted and robbed by two African American men. The victim was intoxicated and uncooperative. ROBBERY, 3/2/2009, 3700 block of Columbia Pike. On March 1 at midnight, a man was leaving a restaurant when he was approached by two unknown men. One suspect grabbed his wallet and the other stabbed the victim in the back with a knife. The wounds were superficial. The suspects were both white Hispanic men. One suspect was wearing a white shirt and black pants, and the other suspect was wearing a blue baseball cap. ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 3/2/2009, I-66 West at Spout Run Parkway. On February 28 at 5 am a man assaulted a woman in a vehicle. When police arrived, they located narcotics in the suspect’s pocket. Shawn Winston, 24, of Woodbridge, was charged with Assault and Battery and Possession of Marijuana. He was held on a $3,000 bond. MALCIOUS WOUNDING, 3/2/2009, 900 block of S. Buchanan Street. On February 28 at 11 pm, a couple was arguing when the female stabbed the male in the back with a kitchen knife. Berta Perez, 30, of Arlington, was charged with Malicious Wounding and held without bond. RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY-ARREST, 3/2/2009, 1200 block of S. Fern Street. On February 27 at 3 pm, police stopped a vehicle bearing stolen license plates. Chester Wright, 20, of Washington D.C., was charged with Receiving Stolen Property and released on a summons. BANK ROBBERY, 3/2/2009, 900 block of N. Glebe Road. On February 28 at 9:30 am, a man gave a teller a note implying a weapon, and fled the bank with money. Warrants are on file for Bruce W. Higgins, Jr, a 34 year old white male, 6”1”, 250 lbs., with hazel eyes and brown hair. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3/2/2009, 700 block of N. Glebe Road. Between 6 pm on February 27, and 8:30 am on February 28, an unknown subject entered a business through a window and stole currency. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3/2/2009, 1400 S. Lynn Strett and 1100 S. 15th Street. On February 28 at noon, an unknown man broke into three vehicles in the same area. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-twenties, 6’1”, 190 lbs, with brown hair. He was wearing dark clothing, a yellow hat, and carried a blue gym bag. Somerset Street. and the 6500 block of N. 35th Road On February 28, between 1 am and 8 am, an unknown subject entered four unlocked vehicles and stole various items. There are no known suspects. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3/2/2009, 4600-4700 blocks of N. 25th Street. On February 28 between 1 am and 7 am, an unknown subject entered three unlocked vehicles and stole various items. Between 4 pm on February 27, and midnight on March 1, six vehicles were broken into and various items were stolen. There are no known suspects. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3/2/2009, 4400 block of S. POSSESSION OF COCAINE, 2/26/2009, 2500 Washington Boulevard. On February 26 at 12:30 am, police conducted a traffic stop. During investigation narcotics were located. Teressa Pauli, 38, of Arlington, was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Morphine, Forgery of Public Documents, and No Operator’s License. She was held without bond. INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2/26/2009, 800 block of N. Lexington Street. On February 25 at 1:30 pm, a woman was with her infant in a park when an unknown male exposed himself in front of her. The suspect is described as a white male, 6’1”, 230, with a large stomach. He had a t-shirt wrapped around his head, and was wearing a grey sweatshirt and pants. ATTEMPTED LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 2/25/2009, 1800 block of Clarendon Boulevard. On February 24 between 6 pm and 11 pm, an unknown suspect broke into two vehicles and searched through them. There is no suspect description. POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY, 2/25/2009, 1100 block of S. Joyce Street. On February 24 at 4 pm, police located a vehicle displaying a stolen tag. During investigation the officer found the vehicle was stolen as well. Jamaal French, 29, of Lanham, MD, was charged with two counts of Grand Larceny. He was held on a $3,000 bond. LATE COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 2/24/2009, 1100 block of Wilson Boulevard. Between 5 pm on February 2, and 9 am on February 3, an unknown subject stole three laptop computers from an office. There is no suspect description. ROBBERY/MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 2/24/2009, 400 block of N. George Mason Drive. On February 22 at 9:30 pm, five subjects forced their way into an acquaintance’s apartment. They assaulted and robbed the victim. The suspects were identified and apprehended by police. Shari Weaver, 46, of Annandale; Marvin Weaver, 44, of Annandale; Glean Gonzalez, 36, of Bethesda, MD; Alistar Lob, 43, of Annandale; and John Franklin, 51, of Annandale were all charged with Malicious Wounding and Robbery. They were held without bond. ROBBERY, 2/24/2009, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. On February 23 at 10:45 am, an unknown subject entered a store and demanded money from the cashier. The suspect fled after receiving cash. The suspect is described as an African American male with a light complexion. He was between 20 and 30 years old, 6’ and 200 lbs.
