BURGLARY, 9/30/2009, 200 block of N. Edgewood Street. On September 29 between 10 am and 11 pm an unknown suspect forcibly entered a house and stole jewelry. There are no known suspects. BURGLARY, 9/30/2009, 2100 block of S. Pollard Street. On September 29 between 8 am and 3:45 pm an unknown subject entered a residence through a window and stole various items. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY, 9/30/2009, 2800 block of N. Glebe Road. On September 29 between 11 am and 11:30 am, an unknown subject stole a computer from a locked dorm room. There are no known suspects. UNLAWFUL ENTRY-ARREST, 9/30/2009, 1000 block of N. Randolph Street. On September 27 at 1 am, police responded to an apartment for a man inside an apartment without the owners permission. Thomas Patrick McMahon, 34, of Reston, was charged with Unlawful Entry. He was held on a $2,000 bond. BURGLARY, 9/29/2009, 2700 block of S. Glebe Road. On September 28 between 2:30 am and 8:30 am, an unknown subject entered an apartment through a window and stole several items. There is no suspect description. PEEPING TOM-ARREST, 9/29/2009, 4800 block of S. 28th Street. On September 28 at 10:45 pm a woman saw a man looking in her bathroom window. Police located the suspect. Charles Carroll, 20, of Arlington, was charged with Peeping into an Occupied Dwelling. He was released on an unsecured bond of $2,000. BANK ROBBERY, 9/29/2009, 900 block of S. George Mason Drive. On September 28 at 2 pm an unknown man walked into a bank displaying a handgun. He demanded money and jumped over the counter. He fled the bank on foot. The suspect was wearing a dark colored head covering, a dark jacket or hooded sweatshirt, green camo pants, and tan work boots. He was also carrying a black back pack and black handgun. ROBBERY-ARREST, 9/29/2009, 4200 block of Fairfax Drive. On September 28 at 10:20 pm a group of men assaulted another man waiting at a bus stop, and stole his cell phone. Police apprehended one suspect. Jory Colin Jacobs, 29, of Falls Church, was charged with Robbery. He was held without bond. PETIT LARCENY-ARREST, 9/28/2009, 1000 block of N. Randolph Street. On September 27 at 6:20 am, police responded to a laundry room for a suspicious person. A subject was found sleeping in the laundry room where a washing machine had been damaged. Dennis Charles Miller, 45, of Landover, MD, was charged with Petit Larceny and Possession of Burglarious Tools. He was held on a $3,500 bond. BURGLARY, 9/28/2009, 2400 block of N. Roosevelt Street. On September 25 between 8:30 am and 3 pm, an unknown suspect entered a house and stole electronic items. There is no suspect description. PEEPING TOM, 9/28/2009, 1500 block of N. Randolph Street. On September 25 at 9:30 pm an unknown man was seen looking into a basement window of a house. He fled when confronted. The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, 6 and 170 lbs. with blond hair. He was wearing khaki shorts and a black long sleeve shirt. ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 9/28/2009, 600 block of N. Manchester Street. On September 27 at noon, a man assaulted a woman that he knew. Jamshed Stephen Faruki, 46, of Alexandria, was charged with Assault and Battery. He was held on a $5,000 bond. ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 9/28/2009, 1300 block of S. Jefferson Davis Highway. On September 27 at 12:30 am a woman was in an elevator when an unknown woman hit her in the face. The suspect is described as an African American woman, 56 and 160 lbs. ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 9/28/2009, 1300 block of N. Stafford Street. On September 26 at 11:30 pm an intoxicated subject tried to hit a juvenile with a tire iron, and damaged a passing car with the object. Orin Netting, 59, of Arlington was charged with Attempted Malicious Wounding and Destruction of Property. He was held without bond. ROBBERY-ARREST, 9/28/2009, 2400 block of S. Lowell Street. On September 27 at 5 pm two men were assaulted and robbed. Police located four suspects to the incident. Lejann Brooks, 19, of Springfield, and Travis Robinson, 19, of Arlington, were both charged with Robbery. They were held without bond. The other two suspects were juveniles and petitions are pending. ROBBERY, 9/28/2009, 1300 block of Lee Highway. On September at 9 am an unknown man approached a woman in a park and pushed a hard object into her back. When he demanded money, she gave him her cell phone. The suspect was described as an African American male in his 30s, 6 and 180 lbs. He was wearing a dirty grey hooded sweatsh BURGLARY, 9/25/2009, 1900 block of N. Westmoreland Street. On September 25 at 2:30 am an unknown person walked into a house. When confronted by the homeowner, the suspect fled. The suspect was a white male, 510 and190 lbs. He was wearing a black and white striped polo shirt and khaki shorts. BURGLARY, 9/25/2009, 2200 block of N. Quintana Street. On September 25 at 3 am, a person came home to find an unknown person sleeping in his kitchen. When confronted, the suspect left. The suspect was a white male, 510, wearing a blue and yellow striped polo shirt. This case may be linked to the case above. BURGLARY, 9/25/2009, 6300 block of Washington Boulevard. On September 24 between 8 am and 8 pm, an unknown person broke into a house and stole various items. There is no suspect description. MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 9/25/2009, 4000 block of N. 17th Street. On September 24 at 9:30 pm a man stabbed his girlfriend in the leg. The suspect was apprehended by police. Kyle Martin, 47, of Arlington, was charged with Malicious Wounding. He was held without bond. SEXUAL BATTERY, 9/25/2009, 4200 block of Fairfax Drive. On September 24 at 7:30 an unknown man approached a 17 year old girl waiting for a bus. He embraced her and touched her breast without her consent. The victim fled and called police. The suspect was an Indian male in his 30s, 56 and 140 lbs. He was wearing a tan short sleeve plaid shirt and dark pants. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES)-ARREST, 9/22/2009, Barcroft Neighborhood. On September 19 between midnight and 4 am, two suspects tampered with at least eight vehicles, stealing numerous items. The suspects were apprehended by police. Waverly Shuler, 28, of no fixed address, and William Jones, 28 of Alexandria, were both charged with Grand Larceny, Petit Larceny, and Attempted Grand Larceny. Shuler was held on a $10,000 bond and Jones was held without bond. BURGLARY, 9/22/2009, 5300 block of Columbia Pike. On September 21 at 5:30 am, a man discovered items missing from his apartment. The suspect description is unknown. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 9/21/2009, 2100-2400 blocks of S. Culpeper Street. On September 18 at 6 am, several unlocked vehicles were found open. An unknown suspect stole various items from at least two cars within the same area. There is no suspect description. ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 9/21/2009, 1100 block of N. Highland Street. On September 19 at 11:45 pm, a man assaulted a bouncer outside a bar. Derek James Bowler, 23, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and battery and Drunk in Public. He was held on an unsecured bond of $2,500. SEXUAL ASSAULT, 9/21/2009, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. On September 18 at 7 pm an unknown man grabbed a womans breast while she was working at a store in the mall. The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s, 57, 160 lbs with grey hair. He was wearing a grey button down shirt and grey slacks, and spoke with a German accent. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 9/21/2009, 4300 block of N. Henderson Road. On September 20 at 8 pm, a man was involved in a fight, and was hit in the head by a beer bottle. He was injured and taken to the hospital. The suspect description is unknown. ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 9/18/2009, 3800 block of S. 22nd Street. On September 17 at 3 pm a neighbor observed two unknown men attempting to break into a house. The suspects fled when they saw the witness. They are described as African American men in their 20s wearing dark clothing. EXPOSURE, 9/18/2009, 2800 block of Washington Boulevard. On September 17 at 7:30 pm a woman was running when she saw an unknown man expose himself. She reported the incident when she returned home. The suspect is a young white Hispanic male, 56 and 160 lbs. He was wearing a white undershirt and had black hair. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES)-ARREST, 9/17/2009, 6200 block of N 18th Street and 1800 block of N. Quantico Street. On September 16 at 10:30 pm two females were seen tampering with numerous vehicles in the neighborhood. They were apprehended by police. Elena Giamporcaro, 18, of Arlington, was charged with three counts of Petit Larceny. She was held on a $3,000. Colleen White, 19, of Arlington, was charged with four counts of Petit Larceny. She was held on a $3,000 bond. INDECENT LIBERTIES, 9/17/2009, 3800 block of Tazewell Street. On September 16 at 8:30 am an unknown man approached a girl walking alone. He asked her to look at his iPhone, on which an obscene photo was displayed. The girl fled the area. The suspect is a white Hispanic male in his early 30s with a medium build and curly short black hair. He spoke with a Spanish accent. ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 9/16/2009, 2400 block of S. Glebe Road. On September 15 between 7 pm and 8:30 pm, an unknown subject damaged an apartment door in an attempt to gain entry. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY, 9/16/2009, 1600 block of S. 26th Street. On September 14 between 5:45 am and 6:30 pm, an unknown subject broke into an apartment and stole various items. There are no known suspects. BURGLARY, 9/15/2009, 4900 block of Columbia Pike. Between 3 pm on September 11, and 6 am on September 14, an unknown subject entered an apartment under renovation and stole various items. There is no suspect description. ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 9/14/2009, 1300 block of N. Irving Street. On September 13 at 11 am an unknown subject was seen acting suspiciously around a house. Residents later found that signs indicating the suspect attempted entry into the house. The suspect is described as an African American male in his 30s, 56 with a thin build. He was wearing a blue shirt and dark pants. BURGLARY, 9/14/2009, 2200 block of S. Pollard Street. On September 13 between 9:30 am and 2 pm, an unknown subject entered a house and stole various items. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY, 9/14/2009, 3200 block of S. 24th Street. Between 7 pm on August 29, and 6:30 pm on September 11, an unknown subject stole electronic items from an apartment. There are no known suspects. BURGLARY, 9/14/2009, 5300 block of N. 1st Place. On September 11 between 7:45 am and 6:30 pm, an unknown subject broke into a residence and stole a laptop computer. There is no suspect description. ASSAULT ON POLICE-ARREST, 9/14/2009, 3000 block of Columbia Pike. On September 12 at 2 am an intoxicated a woman assaulted a police officer during a cab fare dispute. Brooke Shevitz, 24, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and Battery on Law Enforcement and Drunk in Public. She was held on a $2,000 bond. ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION, 9/14/2009, 2000 block of N. Quincy Street. On September 13 at 6:45 am a woman was walking down the street when an unknown male approached her from behind. He pulled her to the ground by her neck and attempted to stun her with a Tazer. The victim screamed and the suspect fled on foot. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male around 25 years old, 58 with a medium build. He was clean shaven, with short black hair. The suspect was wearing a black short sleeved t-shirt with yellow writing on the front, and jeans. MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 9/14/2009, 1600 block of N. 21st Street. On September 13 at 7 am a man broke into his ex-girlfriends apartment. He assaulted a man in the apartment and stole her dog. Officers apprehended the suspect. Nima Movafaghrad, 24, of College Park, MD, was charged with Malicious Wounding, Breaking and Entering with the Intent to Commit Assault, Missile into an Occupied Dwelling, Larceny of a Dog, Assault and Battery, and Tampering with an Automobile. He was held without bond. BANK FRAUD, 9/11/2009, 3000 block of Washington Boulevard. On September 10 at 10 am officers were called to a bank for suspects attempting to cash fraudulent checks. The suspects were apprehended after a foot pursuit. Khalil J. Scott, 25, New York, NY, was charged with Identity Theft and felony counts of both Uttering and Forgery. Joseph Price, 31, New York, NY, was charged with Identity Theft, and a felony count of Uttering. They were held without bond. EXPOSURE, 9/11/2009, 2100 block of Military Road. On September 10 at 3:30 pm a teenage girl was walking down the sidewalk when an unknown male exposed himself from across the street. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, 56 and 160 lbs. He was wearing a tan shirt and jeans. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 9/10/2009, 1800 block of N. Ft. Myer Drive. On September 9 at 4:30 pm an unknown man walked behind the counter at a gas station. He pushed the clerk and unsuccessfully attempted to open the cash register. The suspect fled without any money. The suspect is described as an African American male in his mid 20s, 56 to 6 tall and160 lbs. He was wearing a black and white plaid sweatshirt and dark pants. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 9/9/2009, 500 block of N. Glebe Road. Between 10 pm on September 6, and 2 pm on September 7, an unknown subject scratched three vehicles inside a dealership showroom. BURGLARY, 9/9/2009, 800 block of N. Liberty Street. On September 8 between 8 am and 9 pm, an unknown subject entered a house through a window and stole various items. There is no suspect description. SEXUAL ASSAULT, 9/9/2009, 900 block of S. 15th Street. On September 8 at 6 am a woman was jogging by a loading dock when an unknown male grabbed her rear end. She pushed the suspect away and continued running. The suspect was a white Hispanic male, 30 years old, 55 and 130 lbs. He was wearing khaki pants, a grey t-shirt, and a dark colored hat. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 9/9/2009, 3500 block of Columbia Pike. On September 9 at 1 am, a woman was waiting for a bus when an unknown man grabbed her face from behind, and attempted to pull off her purse. The suspect was unsuccessful, and fled on foot. The suspect is described as an Asian male, 30 years old, 5'8", and 160 lbs. He was wearing a beige shirt and white shorts. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 9/8/2009, 3800 block of Fairfax Drive. Between 10 pm on September 4, and 9 am on September 5, an unknown subject broke into at least three cars. Items were stolen from one vehicle. There are no known suspects. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 9/8/2009, 5500 block of Columbia Pike. Between 10 pm on September 4, and 8 am on September 5, an unknown subject broke into at least two vehicles and stole various items. There is no suspect description. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 9/8/2009, 200 block of N. Glebe Road. Between 9 pm on September 6 and 8:45 am on September 7, an unknown subject entered a check cashing store and stole a safe. There are no known suspects. BURGLARY, 9/8/2009, 800 block of S. Greenbrier Street. On September 4 between midnight and 5 am, an unknown person entered an apartment though a window, but did not steal anything. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO-ARREST, 9/8/2009, 4300 block of Columbia Pike. On September 6 at 11:30 pm an officer heard a suspect break into a car. The officer apprehended the suspect after a foot pursuit. Henry Zepeda, 24, of Falls Church, was charged with Grand Larceny, Destruction of Property, and Possession of a False ID Card. He was held on a $5,000 bond. ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 9/8/2009, 6700 block of Washington Boulevard. On September 5 at 8 pm, two women were walking past a man when he elbowed one in the chest. The suspect was a white male in his 20s, 6 with a medium build. He was wearing a white sweatshirt with a hood, black shorts, white shoes, and had white headphones in his ears. MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 9/8/2009, 1000 block of Arlington Boulevard. On September 7 at 2 am, three males assaulted another man, hitting him at least once with a beer bottle. Two of the suspects were located. Ankhbayar Purevsukh, 25, of Arlington, and Bavarbold Khishigdog, 24, of Arlington were both charged with Malicious Wounding. They were held without bond. ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 9/4/2009, 3900 block of N. Pershing Drive. On September 3 at 6 pm, one man punched another during an argument. Milburn Burton, 48, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and Battery and held on a $2,500 bond. POSSESSION WITH INTENT, 9/4/2009, 2200 block of S. Shirlington Road. On September 3 at 5 pm, officers conducted a traffic stop. A passenger was found to be in possession of narcotics. Kisha Harmon, 33, was charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute Cocaine and Possession with the Intent to Distribute Cocaine in a School Zone. She was held on a $5,000 bond. ROBBERY, 9/4/2009, 5500 block of Columbia Pike. On September 3 at 5 pm, a subject entered a convenience store and brandished a handgun while demanding money. The suspect then fled with cash. Two suspects were later arrested regarding other robberies and charges are pending. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 9/3/2009, 4100 and 4200 blocks of N. Henderson Road. On September 2 between 2 am and 7 am an unknown subject vandalized at least two vehicles by damaging the windows. There is no suspect description. ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 9/3/2009, 800 block of S. Frederick Street. On September 2 between 7 am and 3 pm, an unknown subject attempted to break into an apartment. There are no known suspects. ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 9/3/2009, 500 block of N. Oxford Street. On September 2 at 4 pm a man was assaulted by a known subject. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 9/3/2009, 1700 block of N. Moore Street. On September 2 at 5 pm a woman attempted to steal prescription drugs by implying she had a weapon at a pharmacy. The clerk yelled for help and the suspect fled. The suspect is described as an African American female with medium length hair, 55 and 130 lbs. She was wearing a yellow long sleeve polo shirt with a logo on the front, jeans and dark shoes. ROBBERY, 9/3/2009, 2200 block of N. 12th Court. On September 2 at 10:45 pm a man called police and stated that he had been exiting his vehicle when an unknown man pressed a hard metal object against his face. The suspect demanded money and fled. The suspect description is a 59 male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 9/2/2009, 4000 block of N. 4th Street. On September 1 at 11 am, a man spit in another mans face. George Howard, 32, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and Battery and released on a summons. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, 9/1/2009, 800 block of S. Ode Street. Between 8 pm on August 28, and 11:20 am on August 29, an unknown subject broke the side view mirrors from at least three vehicles in the same block. There is no suspect description. ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 9/1/2009, 3100 block of N. Key Boulevard. On August 31 at 10 pm a man was walking his dog when two teenagers rode past him on bicycles. One of the teenagers shot the victim with an "airsoft" gun as he passed by. The man was unharmed, and the suspects also yelled profanity at him. Both suspects were white Hispanic males in their teens. One was wearing a blue shirt and shorts, while the other was wearing a white t-shirt and carried a black backpack. INDECENT LIBERTIES-ARREST, 9/1/2009, 6400 block of N. Williamsburg Boulevard. On August 31 police responded to an area where a subject had previously been seen exposing himself. The suspect was located and arrested. Richard Abner Simon, 45, of Fairfax, was charged with Indecent Liberties. He was held without bond. BURGLARY, 8/31/2009, 1800 block of N. Scott Street. On August 29 at 6:30 am, an unknown male forced entry into an apartment, but fled when confronted by a resident. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male in his 20s wearing a white button down shirt. EXPOSURE, 8/31/2009, 6400 block of Williamsburg Boulevard. On August 26 at 8 am, a juvenile female saw a man wearing red shorts sitting in a red truck exposing himself. She later told her father. At the same location two days later, the victims father saw the same suspect, in a green truck, wearing the extremely high cut shorts, attempting to expose himself. The suspect is a white Hispanic male in his 30s wearing very short red shorts. PEEPING TOM, 8/31/2009, 4100 block of N. 3rd Road. On August 31 at 12:45 am a woman saw a man looking in her bedroom window. The suspect is described as an African American male wearing dark clothing. POSSESSION WITH INTENT-ARREST, 8/31/2009, 5500 block of Arlington Boulevard. On August 30 at 12:30 am when an officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic infraction, the occupants threw narcotics from the window. The three suspects were arrested. Tuan Huang, 28, of Annandale, Dat Nguyen, 26, of Woodbridge, and Nguyen Nguyen, 25, of Gainesville, were all charged with Possession with the intent to Distribute Cocaine. They were each held on a $3,000 bond. ATTEMPTED CAR JACKING, 8/31/2009, 5100 block of S. 10th Street. On August 30 at 8:30 pm a man had just started his vehicle when two unknown men ran to the window. One displayed a handgun, and the other, a knife. They demanded the victim open the door, and one suspect broke the passenger side window. The victim drove away from the suspects and was not injured. The suspects were both white Hispanic men. The suspect with the handgun was wearing a white t-shirt. The suspect with the knife was wearing a black t-shirt and had long black hair. ROBBERY, 8/31/2009, 3800 block of N. 9th Street. On August 29 at 12:45 am, an unknown male approached a woman from behind and stole her purse. The suspect fled and into a waiting silver Volkswagen Jetta. The suspect was a white Hispanic male wearing jeans and a grey sweatshirt. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 8/31/2009, 600 block of S. Carlin Springs Road. On August 31 at 1:30 am a group of subject assaulted a young man with a baseball bat. The suspects are known to him. ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 8/28/2009, 5000 block of Wilson Boulevard. On August 27 at 12:30 pm a man assaulted another man inside a restaurant. Jose Florian, 29, of no fixed, was charged with Assault and battery. He was held on a $2,000 bond. RESISTING ARREST-ARREST, 8/28/2009, 3900 block of N. 4th Street. On August 27 at 12:30 am, a man was combative during a traffic stop. James Petwat, 44, of Arlington, was charged with Resisting Arrest. He was held on a $2,500 bond. ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 8/27/2009, 5100 block of Wilson Boulevard. On August 27 at 2 am, an unknown male punched another man inside a convenience store. The suspect is described as an African American male in his early 20s, 59 with a thin build. He was wearing a white t-shirt and left the scene in silver Hyundai. ABDUCTION, 8/27/2009, 1100 block of N. Danville Street. On August 26 at 8 pm, a woman was walking when an unknown man grabbed her around the neck and pushed her to the ground while covering her mouth with his hand. He held her there for a few seconds before fleeing the area. The suspect is described as a white male, 59 with a stocky build. He was wearing a white t-shirt. ATTEMPETD ROBBERY-ARREST, 8/27/2009, 1200 block of S. Courthouse Road. On August 26 at 7 pm, four subjects attempted to rob a man in the park of an apartment complex. The subjects were apprehended. Two of the subjects were juveniles and petitions are pending. Sharod Kilby,18, and Darius Price, 18, both of Arlington, were charged with Attempted Robbery. They were held without bond. POSSESSION WITH INTENT-ARREST, 8/26/2009, 3000 block of S. Abingdon Street. On August 25 at 5:45 pm, police responded for three suspect were witnessed acting suspiciously on school grounds. Michael Solomon, 18, of Arlington was charged with Possession of a Weapon on School Grounds and released on a summons. Mulugeta Worku, 18, of Arlington, was charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute Narcotics on School Grounds, and Possession with the Intent to Distribute Narcotics. He was held without bond. BURGLARY, 8/26/2009, 3700 block of Columbia Pike. On August 25 between 4:45 am and 5 am an unknown subject entered an apartment and woke a resident before fleeing. The suspect is described as an overweight African American male in his mid 30s. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 8/25/2009, 5800 block of N. 11th Street. Between 6 pm on August 22, and 8:30 am on August 23, an unknown subject broke into at least two vehicles in the same area. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY, 8/25/2009, 2600 block of S. Grant Street. Between 6:30 pm on August 22, and noon on August 23, an unknown subject stole money from a residence. There is no suspect description. On August 21 at 4:45 pm an unknown man entered a check cashing store. He displayed a handgun and demanded money. One shot was fired during the incident, but no one was injured. The suspect fled without any money. The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, 6 with a thin build. He was wearing a suit and tie, sunglasses, and a black wig. Trenton Street. On August 18 at 6 am several witnesses reported a peeping tom to police. The suspect was located and arrested. On August 18 at 10 pm a man had a disagreement with two other men. The two men followed the victim home and assaulted him. The victim was taken to the hospital. The suspects are known. Between A3 pm on August 5 and 5 pm on August 15, an unknown subject stole a bicycle from a patio, and attempted to enter a house through the rear door. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM A PERSON, 8/18/2009, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. On August 17 at 8:30 pm a woman was sitting in the food court when two unknown men stole her purse off the back of her chair. On August 15 at 1:30 pm two unknown men attempted to steal a generator from a house under construction. They were confronted by a contractor, and left without the item. The suspects were both white males, 6 tall, 175 lbs, and wore construction type clothing. They left in a white work van. BURGLARY/LARCENY FROM AUTO, 8/17/2009, 1100 block of S. 17th Street. On August 16 at 1 pm, a man entered an unlocked house, and was confronted by the owner. He left and got into a vehicle. The vehicle drove around the street to an unlocked SUV. A second suspect exited the car and stole money from the SUV. The first suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, 61, 280 with a large head, tattoos on his arms, wearing a white t-shirt and loose shorts. The second suspect is described as a white Hispanic male in his late 20s, 59, with a thin build, the suspect vehicle was a newer model, blue Nissan Altima four door sedan. ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 8/17/2009, 3000 block of Columbia Pike. On August 16 at midnight two groups of men became involved in a fight and police responded. Two subjects were arrested. Ronal Andrade, 29, of Falls Church, and Lorgio Roman, 28, of Beltsville, MD, were both charged with Assault and Battery. They were held on a $2,500 bond. On August 15 at 1 pm a woman was walking her dog in the picnic area at Lubber Run Park when an unknown man approached her. He kissed her on the cheek and fondled her before she could flee the area. He was described as a white Hispanic male, between 45 and 50 years old, 59 with a medium build. He was wearing a white t-shirt and khaki shorts. ATTEMPTED GRAND LARCENY AUTO-ARREST, 8/17/2009, 1600 block of S. Walter Reed Drive. On August 15 at 5 am, an officer located two subjects in a vehicle that did not belong to them. The subjects were also in possession of narcotics. Vidal Torres Diaz, 32, of Alexandria, and Mario Garcia, 20, of Arlington, were both charged with Attempted Grand Larceny of an Automobile and Possession of Cocaine. The suspect description is unclear. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 8/11/2009, 1400 block of S. Joyce Street. On August 10 at 9:30 pm, two women were approached by four unknown people. The group consisted of three African American women and one African American male, all in their late teens to early 20s. The suspects confronted the victims and assaulted them, attempting to steal the victims purses. The victims yelled for help, and the suspect fled the area in a dark colored four door sedan. The male suspect was 58 with a thin build, wearing a bright green t-shirt. The first female suspect was 55 with very long curly hair, and was wearing very short jean shorts with a white bathing suit top. The second female suspect was 59. Adams Street. On August 3 at 6:50 am, two subjects attempted to steal a motorcycle and were interrupted by the bikes owner. The suspects fled, but were located by police. Warren Richardson, Jr, 20, of Franconia, and Ronald Fleetwood, 20, of Ft. Washington, MD, were both charged with Attempted Grand Larceny of an Automobile, Possession of Burglarious Tools, and Brandishing. They were both on a $7,500 bond. On July 31 at 7 pm a woman saw a man exposing himself outside her window. Police located the suspect and he was disorderly. On July 2 at 12:10 am, two men stole beer from another man, assaulting him in the process. Both suspects were white Hispanic males. On July 24 at 5:30 pm, two men verbally argued over a traffic issue. One subject punched the other and then returned to his car and drove away. On July 24 at 11:30 pm, a woman was riding the escalator at a metro station when an unknown male reached up her skirt and grabbed her through her underwear. The victim yelled at the suspect and he fled. The suspect is described as an African American male, 25 years old, 6, with a thin build. On July 20 at 11:30 pm, an unknown man approached a woman from behind and after a brief struggle, stole her purse. The suspect was an African American male, in his early 20s, 58 to 6 and 160 lbs. He was wearing jeans, a white tank top with a shirt over it, black shoes, and had dreadlocks. SEXUAL ASSAULT, 7/21/2009, 4000 block of Fairfax Drive. On July 17 at 12:15 pm, an unknown man followed a woman into a stairwell. He told her there was a bug on her back and reached down her dress and touched her bra. The victim ran from the stairwell. The suspect was a white male in his 20s, 58, 130 lbs, with black hair. He was wearing a green and white striped shirt, black shorts, white shoes, and glasses. POSSESSION OF FIREARM/RESISTING ARREST, 7/21/2009, N. 10th Street at Fairfax Drive. On July 20 at 9:45 pm, police pulled over a revoked driver. He was found in possession of a firearm. The suspect assaulted an officer and fled from police to avoid arrest, but was apprehended. The suspect was a white Hispanic male, 57 with a medium build. He had medium length curly black hair, was wearing all dark clothing, and had a black backpack on his back. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 7/20/2009, 400 block of S. 23rd Street. On July 19 at 7:30 pm, an unknown man approached the male victim demanding money. The victim ran from the suspect and eventually the suspect stopped following him. The suspect is described as an African American male in his 40s, 61 and 190 lbs. The suspect was wearing a green and gray striped shirt and green shorts. ROBBERY-ARREST, 7/20/2009, 1000 block of S. Highland Street. On July 16 at 11:30 pm, two brothers instigated a fight with two men, and attempted to rob them. Police interrupted the assault. Sergio Rodriguez Sotomayor, 27, of Arlington was charged with Attempted Robbery. He was held without bond. Cesar Rodriguez Sotomayor, 28, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and battery and Obstruction of Justice. He was held on $3,000 bond. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 7/20/2009, 700 block of S. Florida Street. On July 19 at 8:30 pm, a man struck another man in the face with a beer bottle, until the bottle broke. The victim was taken to the hospital. The suspect is known and warrants are pending. GRAND LARCENY AUTO-ARREST, 7/16/2009, 500 block of N. Thomas Street. On July 14 at 9 am, an officer attempted to stop a man driving a stolen vehicle. The suspect jumped out of the car and fled on foot. The officer ran after him and took him in custody. Robert Williams-Dixon, 24, of Riverdale, MD, was charged with Grand Larceny Auto and Driving While Suspended. The subject was also wanted out of another jurisdiction for Assault and Battery. He was held on $3,500 bond for the Arlington charges, and a $1,500 for the other charge. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 7/15/2009, 2600 block of Jefferson Davis Highway. Between 11 pm on July 13, and 5:30 am on July 14, an unknown subject broke into at least four vehicles in a hotel parking garage. Various items were taken from the vehicles. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY, 7/15/2009, 2000 block of N. Calvert Street. On July 15 at 3:30 am a woman awoke to find an unknown man in her apartment. When she yelled, the suspect fled, stealing her purse. The suspect is described as an African American male in his 20s or 30s, 510 and 160 lbs. He was wearing a tan shirt and shorts and a tan skull cap. BURGLARY, 7/15/2009, 2800 block of S. Glebe Road. Between 6 pm on July 13, an unknown person entered a residence and stole electronics. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY, 7/15/2009, 2600 block of S. Joyce Street. On July 13, between 2 pm and 5 pm, an unknown subject entered a house and stole various items. There are no known suspects. UNLAWFUL FILMING-ARREST, 7/15/2009, 1200 block of S. Hayes Street. On July 13 at 6:30 pm, a woman caught a man attempting to film under her skirt while she was shopping. Security and police located the suspect. Rickey Lynn Cooper, Jr., 23, of District heights, MD, was charged with Unlawful Filming. He was held on a $1,250 bond. ROBBERY, 7/15/2009, 3800 block of Arlington Boulevard. On July 13 at 1 pm, a group of men approached another male and took money from his pocket while punching him. Several of the suspects are known to the victim. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 7/13/2009, 1200 block of S. Thomas Street. Between 8:30 pm on July 11, and 2:30 am on July 12, an unknown subject slashed tires on at least five vehicles in the same area. There is no suspect description. George Mason Drive. On July 12 at 11:50 pm, police stopped four subjects in possession of stolen bicycles. They were all juveniles, and charges are pending. ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 7/13/2009, 1100 block of N. Harrison Street. On July 11 at 10:30 am, a man approached people running a neighborhood yard sale. He asked if any guns were being sold and was told there were not. He then located a hunting knife and stole it. When confronted, he threatened the victim with the knife. Police apprehended him a short distance away. Kirk Truesdale, 45, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and Battery and Petit Larceny. He was held on a $5,000 bond. ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 7/13/2009, 1100 block of Wilson Boulevard. On July 13 at 1:30 am, police were called to a fight. One suspect slammed another man to the ground, causing momentary unconsciousness. Myagmarsuren Bat-Ochir, 27, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and Battery. He was held on a $3,000 bond. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 7/6/2009, 2500 block of N. Harrison Street. On July 5 at 10:45 pm a man approached two women sitting in a car. He pointed a cell phone at them like a gun and demanded money. The women called the police and the subject ran. The suspect is a white Hispanic or Asian male, 55 and 130 lbs. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, jeans, and a grey scarf partially covering his face. ABDUCTION WITH THE INTENT TO DEFILE-ARREST, 7/6/2009, 4200 block of S. 31st Street. On July 2 at 2:50 am, a man followed a woman into an apartment building. He pulled her into a stairwell where he assaulted her. The womans boyfriend confronted the suspect and they fought. The suspect was located after an extensive search. Leon Lynch, 39, of Woodbridge, was charged with Abduction with the Intent to defile. He was held without bond. SHOOTING, 7/6/2009, 2700 block of Clarendon Boulevard. On July 3 at 10:15 am, an unknown man rang the bell at the service entrance to a store. When an employee opened the door, he shot her and fled. The victim received a non life threatening injury to the shoulder. The suspect is an African American male in his 20s or 30s, 57 to 6 with a medium build.
