MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 02/02/12, 3600 block of S. Columbia Pike. Shortly after 6 pm on February 2, a subject entered a local restaurant and became upset after a female worker refused to provide him with personal information. The subject left the restaurant and returned 10 minutes later with a knife and repeatedly tried to attack the manager. The manager sustained minor injuries, and with the help of a co-worker was able to wrestle the knife away. The suspect fled the scene on foot and was later apprehended in his apartment. The suspect is being held without bond. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 02/01/12, 1400 block of S. 28th Street. Arlington County officers were dispatched to INOVA Alexandria Hospital in reference to a victim that was stabbed in the abdomen in Arlington. Shortly before 4 pm on February 1, the male victim and known gang affiliate, had left a soccer game at Gunston Middle School and was stabbed by an unknown subject. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’3” tall with a skinny build. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a black Northface jacket, black fleece pants, black Nike boots and a black baseball hat. SEXUAL BATTERY, 02/01/12 1200 block of N. Glebe Road. On February 1, around 11:30 am, a female escort was sexually assaulted after failing to comply with sexual demands from an unknown subject. The female escort used a cell phone whiling struggling with the subject and contacted a bodyguard for help. Within a few moments, the bodyguard arrived at the hotel room and was involved in a physical altercation with the suspect. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle and is described as a black male, approximately 5’8” tall, bald and heavyset. BURGLARY, 02/01/12, 600 block of N. Jackson Street. Between 9 am and 7 pm on February 1, an unknown subject threw a rock through a main floor window and entered the home. The resident did not believe anything was missing though various rooms had been rummaged through. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY, 02/01/12, 600 block of N. Nelson Street. On February 1, between 7:45 am and 9:20 pm, an unknown suspect(s) damaged a back door and entered the residence. Various items of jewelry were stolen. There is no suspect description. ARMED CARJACKING, 01/31/12, 3400 block of S. 25th Court. Just after 7pm on January 31, two unknown suspects approached the female victim as she was exiting her vehicle, brandished a handgun and demanded her car keys. The victim’s purse was also taken and her credit cards were reportedly used in Prince George’s County shortly after the carjacking. The suspects are described as black males, 18-27 years old, approximately 6’ tall and 170-200 lbs. SEXUAL BATTERY, 01/31/12, 1600 block of N. Arlington Boulevard. On January 31 at 8:30 pm, a female returning to her hotel room was confronted by a subject just outside her door in the hallway and was sexually assaulted. When the victim went to the front desk to report the incident, the suspect fled on foot. The suspect is described as a black male, late 20s, approximately 160 lbs with a slender build. At the time he was wearing a navy blue knit cap and a one-piece navy blue jumpsuit. BURGLARY, 01/31/12, 2200 block of N. Wilson Boulevard. Between 9:20 pm on January 30, and 8:30 am on January 31, an unknown subject forced entry into the rear entrance of an office space and stole six Apple laptops. There is no suspect description. ROBBERY, 01/27/12, 4100 block of N. Henderson Road. At 1:30 am on January 27, an intoxicated female walking alone was punched in the face by an unknown male suspect and her wallet was stolen. Only when the female victim screamed for help did the suspect flee the scene on foot. There is no suspect description. FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE, 01/28/12, Route 395 Northbound. On January 28 at 8:30 am, a traffic stop for a speeding vehicle yielded a wanted subject out of Prince George’s County, MD for theft, conspiracy and advertisement of credit services without a license. The vehicle the subject was driving was reported stolen as well. The suspect was taken into custody and the vehicle was recovered. PEEPING TOM, 01/27/12, 2700 block of S. Veitch Street. Shortly after 6 am on January 27, a neighbor witnessed an unknown suspect looking into an apartment window of a female resident. The subject is described as a Hispanic male, between 5’8” and 6’ tall, with short black hair. AGGRAVATED SEXUAL BATTERY, 01/29/12, 24oo block of S. Lowell Street. On January 29 at 4:30 pm, a subject turned himself in related to a juvenile sexual assault that occurred in 2001. The suspect is being held without bond. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 01/27/12, 300 block of S. Glebe Road. At 4:15 am on January 27, a neighbor witnessed a subject entering numerous parked vehicles in the parking lot of an apartment complex. The subject was found on scene with various stolen items and arrested. The suspect was also wanted out of Fairfax County for felony embezzlement. RECOVERED STOLEN AUTO, 01/28/12, 5600 block of S. 7th Street. Around 2:30 am on January 28, a stolen vehicle was located several blocks away from the victim’s residence. A small amount of cash was the only thing missing from the vehicle. There is no suspect description. RECOVERED STOLEN AUTO, 01/26/12, 4000 block of N. 5th St. At 11:30 pm on January 25, Advanced Towing recovered a stolen vehicle after receiving a call from the property management company located at 4320 N. Pershing Dr. stating a non-permited vehicle was in their parking lot. RAPE, 01/25/12, 3000 block of Columbia Pike. Between 2 and 3 pm on January 25, a female victim was raped by a known suspect in a hotel room. The suspect is in custody. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 01/20/12, 1625 N. George Mason Dr. Between 12:45 pm and 2:30 pm on January 23, an unknown subject broke into several vehicles located in a parking garage. No items were reported missing. However, during the same timeframe, a stolen vehicle was reported out of the same garage. There is no suspect description. ROBBERY, 01/20/12, 2000 block of S. Crystal Drive. On January 20 at 7:45 pm, a suspect on foot snatched a female’s backpack containing an iPad 2. The suspect is described as a black male, late teens, approximately 5’8”. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 01/22/12, 400 block of S. 23rd Street. Shortly after midnight on January 22, a male subject was assaulted by another male at a convenience store. The suspect is described as a black male, late 20s, 5’10”, with a beard. LARCENY FROM AUTO, 01/22/12, 3200 block of Columbia Pike. Between 10 am and 9:45 pm on January 22, an unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle and stole various items, including credit cards and a camera. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO, 01/20/12, 2400 block of S. Army/Navy Dr. Between 7 pm on January 19, and 7:15 am on January 20, an unknown suspect broke a vehicles passenger window and stole a GPS device. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO, 01/20/12, 2400 block of S. Army/Navy Dr. Between 11 pm on January 19, and 7:15 am on January 20, a victim’s passenger side window was smashed and a GPS device was stolen. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO, 01/22/12, 5100 block of S. 8th Rd. Between 11:30 pm on January 21, and 1:30 am on January 22, a laptop computer and VRE tickets were stolen from the backseat of an SUV. There is no suspect description. RECOVERED STOLEN AUTO, 01/20/12, 3800 block of N. Pershing Dr. On January 20 at 7:35 am, a stolen vehicle was located after an alert came through to an officer’s License Plate Reader system. ABDUCTION WITH INTENT TO DEFILE / SEXUAL ASSAULT, 01/19/12, 2000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway. On January 19, around 8 pm, a female escort was held against her will in a hotel room while an unknown male sexually assaulted her. The suspect is a black male, 30-39, 170 lbs. BURGLARY, 01/19/12, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. Between 6:30 pm on January 18, and 8 am on January 19, an unknown subject entered a commercial business and stole two laptops with chargers. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY, 01/19/12, 6200 block of N. 18th Street. On January 19, between 11:30 am and 2 pm, an unknown suspect entered through a basement window of a residence. Various items were stolen. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY, 01/19/12, 1800 block of N. Quantico Street. Between the hours of 12 and 3 pm, on January 19, an unknown subject entered a residence through a back door. Various items were stolen. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY, 01/19/12, 6300 block of N. 11th Road. On January 19, between 8:45 am and 6:45 pm, a subject entered a residence through a basement window and stole various items. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO, 01/19/12, 1200 block of S. Courthouse Road. Numerous parts from a garage-parked motorcycle were stolen. The victim last saw his motorcycle intact on January 7. A surveillance camera was in the garage, however, employees on duty at the time had no knowledge of how the system worked. GRAND LARCENY, 01/18/12, 500 block of S. 23rd Street. On January 17 at 4 pm, five suspects entered a nail salon, received service and left without paying. While distracting salon staff, one of the subjects stole $1,500 cash from an employee's purse. All suspects were black males, approximately 25-30 years of age, however three were dressed in female clothes and wore wigs. UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 01/18/12, 5200 N. Yorktown Blvd. Between 11 pm on January 6, and 8 am on January 9, an unknown subject entered a school building and caused damage to the facility. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 01/18/12, 2000 block of N. Brandywine St. and 1900 block of N. Cameron St. Between 8 pm on January 11, and 7:15 am on January 12, an unknown person broke into several vehicles. Various items were stolen. There is no suspect description. ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 01/12/12, 1200 block of S. Scott Street. On January 12 at 3 am, a man assaulted a male family member. Chelub Conner, 31, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and Battery. He was held on a $2,500 bond. BURGLARY, 01/10/12, 1900 block of N. 19th Street. Between 5 pm on December 30, and 6:30 am on January 9, an unknown subject entered management office and stole tools. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY, 01/05/12, 5400 block of S. 7th Road. Between 7:30 pm on January 4, and 6:20 am on January 5, an unknown subject entered through a basement window of a local church. A laptop computer was stolen. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 01/04/11, 800 block of Army Navy Drive. On January 4 between 9 am and 1:30 pm, an unknown subject broke into at least five vehicles in a mall parking garage. Various items were stolen. There is no suspect description. ATTEMPTED CARJACKING, 01/03/11, 1700 block of N. Barton Street. On January 3 at 2:20 am, an unknown man assaulted a taxi cab driver. The suspect choked him and attempted to drive off in the cab. The suspect hit another car, and then fled the area on foot. The suspect is described as a black male, late twenties to early thirties and approximately 185 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with a black snow cap. ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 01/04/11, 4200 block of S. 12th Road. On January 3 at 9 pm, a female assaulted a former girlfriend of her husband's. Christina Story, 26, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and Battery. She was released on a summons. BURGLARY, 01/03/11, 200 block of N. Thomas Street. Between 4:45 pm on December 30, 2011, and 8:30 am on January 3, an unknown subject broke into a building's maintenance shed. Various copper fitting supplies were stolen. There is no suspect description. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 01/03/11, 4900 block of Chesterfield Road. Between 3:30 pm on December 30, 2011, and 6 am on January 3, an unknown person entered a construction site and stole several tools from a locked toolbox. There are no known suspects. MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 12/30/11, 1600 block of S. Walter Reed Dr. On December 30 at 9:30 pm, a group of subjects assaulted several people. One of the victims was also assaulted with a shovel, causing a serious leg injury. Carlos Diaz, 35, of Woodbridge, charged with Malicious Wounding. Ricardo Palacios, 28, of Fairfax, Jose Machuca, 38, of Woodbridge, and Juan Machuca, 40, of Woodbridge, were all charged with Assault by Mob. All suspects were held without bond. ROBBERY, 12/31/11, 2000 block of Clarendon Boulevard. On December 31 at 2 am, a suspect on a bicycle rode by one woman, stealing her purse out of her hand. He attempted it again with a second female, and was unsuccessful. ROBBERY, 01/01/12, 2200 block of Fairfax Drive. On January 1 at 1 am, a group of four unknown men brandished a knife and stole a cell phone from two male victims. The suspects were all African American men wearing dark clothing. ROBBERY, 01/02/12, 1600 block of S. Glebe Road. On January 2 at 5 pm, two men entered a small store. They brandished a handgun and stole money from the cash register before fleeing. The first suspect wore a gray hood over his head, a dark cloth covering his face, jeans, and black shoes with white shoelaces. The second suspect was wearing a gray or green jacket, jeans, a cloth covering his face, and a hood over his head. LARCENY FROM A PERSON-ARREST, 01/01/12, 4800 block of Lee Highway. On January 1 at 10:30 pm, a man reached into a woman's pocket and stole money and cigarettes. Police apprehended him directly. Kareem Jenkins, 19, of San Diego, CA, was charged with Larceny From a Person. He was held without bond. MISSILE INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING-ARREST, 12/31/11, 2300 block of Columbia Pike. On December 31 at 3:30 am, one man assaulted another inside a restaurant. The victim became disorderly, broke the restaurant door, and threw a glass sugar container at a plate glass window, shattering it. Jamel Toms, 26. Of Alexandria, was charged with Releasing a Missile into an Occupied Dwelling, and two counts of felony Destruction of Property. He was held on a $10,000 bond. Zachary Szabo, 23, of Woodbridge, was charged with Assault and Battery. He was held without bond. ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 01/02/12, 4900 block of Columbia Pike. On January 2 at 3 am, an unknown man assaulted a convenience store clerk with various packaged food items when the clerk refused to let the suspect use the store phone. The suspect is described as a black Ethiopian male, in his 30s, 5'8" and 180 lbs. He was wearing a black jacket, jeans and a white knit hat. BURGLARY, 01/02/12, 2700 block of S. Veitch Street. Between 9:30 pm on January 1, and 9:45 am on January 2, an unknown subject broke into an apartment. Various items were stolen. There are no known suspects. UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 12/30/11, 1500 block of S. Columbus Street. Sometime between September 29, and December 29, an unknown person broke into a vacant residence and started living there. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY, 12/29/11, 2600 block of S. Arlington Mill Drive. Between 9:45 am on December 27, and 8:30 am on December 29, an unknown person broke into a storage area at an apartment complex. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY-ARREST, 12/28/11, 2700 block of Jefferson Davis Highway. On December 28 at 4:45 am, two men broke a glass door and entered the business center of a hotel. Police found them a short distance away from the hotel. Kareen Taylor, 18, of Alexandria, was charged with Burglary and Destruction of Property. Gabral Sammy, 19, of Alexandria, was charged with Burglary, Destruction of Property and Possession of Marijuana. They were both held on a $1,000 bond. ATTEMPT COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/27/11, 3500 block of S. 19th Street. Between 8 pm on December 23, and 6 am on December 27, an unknown subject attempted to break into a construction trailer. There are no known suspects. BURGLARY, 12/27/11, 1300 block of Columbia Pike. At 7:00 am on December 26, an unknown subject broke into an apartment complex and stole a computer monitor. There is no suspect description. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/27/11, 4200 block of Four Mile Run Drive. Between 11:30 am on December 23, and 7:00 pm on December 27, an unknown subject broke into a storage facility and stole construction equipment. There are no known suspects. ROBBERY-ARREST, 12/25/11, 4100 block of Four Mile Run Drive. On December 25 at 12:15 pm, a man entered a gas station and robbed the cashier of money and cigarettes while brandishing a handgun. The suspect then fled in a vehicle that a second person was driving. Both suspects were apprehended by police. Liban Jama, 23, of Arlington, was charged with Armed Robbery and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. Earl Brown, 27, of Arlington, was charged with Armed Robbery. They were both held without bond. DOMESTIC ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 12/25/11, 5600 block of S. 7th Road. On December 25 at 1 am, a man assaulted his wife. He was extremely disorderly during arrest and kicked out the window of a police cruiser. Carlos Villatoro, 30, of Arlington, was charged with Felony Destruction of Property, Domestic Assault and Battery, Possession of Marijuana and Curse and Abuse. He was held without bond. SEXUAL BATTERY, 12/24/11, 2200 block of Wilson Boulevard. On December 24 at 4 pm, a known subject grabbed a woman's buttocks as she was leaving a bus. BURGLARY, 12/25/11, 4000 block of S. 9th Street. Between 10 pm on December 24, and 9 am on December 25, an unknown subject broke into a house and stole various items. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY-ARREST, 12/25/11, 2300 block of Wilson Boulevard. On December 25 at 7 am, two men were seen breaking into a business. They were apprehended at the scene by police. Mohamed Alim, 19, of Alexandria, and Adil Gour, 19, of Fairfax, were both charged with Burglary. They were held without bond. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/23/11, 1700 block of N. Moore Street. Between 2:45 pm on December 22, and 6 pm on December 23, an unknown subject broke into an office suite and stole laptop computers. There are no known suspects. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/26/11, 3800 block of Four Mile Run Drive. Between 3 pm on December 24, and 7:30 am on December 26, an unknown subject broke into a business and stole various items. There is no suspect description. UNLAWFUL ENTRY-ARREST, 12/23/11, 500 block of S. 25th Street. On December 23 at 9:30 am, a realtor found that a subject had broken into a property and was sleeping there. Lorenzo Brown, 19, of Landover, MD, was charged with Unlawful Entry and Destruction of Property. He was held on a $5,000 bond. UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 12/23/11, 200 block of N. George Mason Drive. On December 23 at 10:30 pm, four people were found inside of an apartment without permission. Two were juveniles and released to parents. Bryon Ramirez, 18, of Arlington, and Jonathan Chireno, 18, of Arlington, were both charged with Unlawful Entry. They were released on their own recognizance. BANK ROBBERY-ARREST, 12/22/11, 2600 block of Clarendon Boulevard. On December 22 at 9:50 am, an unknown man entered a bank, implied that he had a weapon and demanded money. After receiving cash, the suspect fled on foot. He was apprehended later in the evening. Rafi Khan, 23, of Arlington, was charged with two counts of Bank Robbery. He was held without bond. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/22/11, 3200 block of Wilson Boulevard. Between 11:30 pm on December 15, and 7:30 am on December 16, an unknown person entered a business and stole audiovisual equipment. There are no known suspects. ROBBERY, 12/21/11, 1800 block Wilson Boulevard. On December 21 at 2:50 am, two unknown men robbed a gas station while displaying a handgun. The suspects were both African American men in their 30s, around 5'10". One subject was wearing a ski mask; the other had a medium complexion and a small mustache. EXPOSURE, 12/18/11, 500 block of S. 22nd Street. On December 18 at 1:45 am, an unknown male exposed himself to two women walking to their car. The suspect is described as an African American male in his 30s, 6'1" and 240 lbs. ATTEMPT BURGLARY, 12/20/11, 4300 block of Lorcom Lane. Between noon on December 16 and 9 pm on December 19, an unknown subject attempted to break into an apartment building maintenance office. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 12/20/11, 100 block of N. Columbus Street, 500 block of N. Jefferson Street, and the 5600 blocks of N. 5th and N. 7th Streets. Between 9:30 pm on December 19, and 7 am on December 20, an unknown suspect entered at least 12 unlocked vehicles in the same neighborhood. Various items were stolen. There are no known suspects. ROBBERY, 12/20/11, 3700 block of S. 5th Street. On December 20 at 1:20 am, three unknown men surrounded a man walking home. They displayed a handgun and robbed the victim of money and clothing. The suspect fled in a dark colored Honda Civic driven by a female. The first suspect was a white male in his early 20s, 6' with a thin build, brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a black coat and jeans. The second suspect was a white Hispanic male in his early 20s, 5'3" with a muscular build, black hair and a full beard. He was wearing a black coat. The third suspect was a white Hispanic male in his late 20s, 5'4" with a stocky build, wearing all dark clothing. ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 12/20/11, 3900 block of N. 5th Street. On December 20 at midnight, a man was walking home and was assaulted by an unknown subject. The victim was intoxicated and had no further details. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 12/19/11, 3800 block of Four Mile Run Drive. Between 7 pm on December 18, and 8:45 am on December 19, an unknown person broke into a service station and stole various items. There is no suspect description. MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 12/17/11, 4200 block of N. 2nd Road. On December 17 at 2 am, a group of people assaulted a man, and then one suspect continued to assault the victim when others stopped. Carlton Spriggs, 37, of Capital Heights, MD, was charged with Malicious Wounding, Trespassing, Possession of Marijuana and Drunk in Public. He was held without bond. ROBBERY, 12/17/11, 5000 block of Lee Highway. On December 17 at 9:30 pm, a known subject asked to borrow money from a male acquaintance. When the victim pulled out his wallet, the suspect implied a knife and stole it. ROBBERY, 12/17/11, 3000 block of S. 7th Street. On December 17 at 9:40 pm, two unknown men approached two men walking. The suspects displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victims then ran from the area. The suspects are described as African American males in their mid-20s. One was 5'8" with a thin build, wore a red sweatshirt, jeans, a black vest, and black boots. The second suspect was 5'11" with a medium build and wore a white hooded sweatshirt and light colored jeans. BURGLARY, 12/18/11, 5100 block of S. 11th Road. On December 18 at 5:30 am, an unknown subject entered a house and fled when confronted by the resident. The suspect is described as a 25-year-old white Hispanic male, 5'7" with curly hair. He was wearing a dark hat, red jacket, dark pants and carried a red backpack. BURGLARY, 12/18/11, 5200 block of S. 10th Place. On December 18 at 4:30 am, a man awoke to see three juveniles running from his property. A jacket was stolen from a closet. The suspects were white Hispanic teenagers. ATTEMPT BURGLARY, 12/18/11, 5200 block of S. 10th Place. Between 7:30 pm on December 17, and 12:20 am on December 18, an unknown person attempted to enter a residence and was unsuccessful. There is no suspect description. ATTEMPT BURGLARY, 12/18/11, 4200 block of N. 2nd Road. On December 18 at 12:30 am, an unknown person attempted to enter an apartment through a kitchen window but was scared away by the resident. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male in his 20s, 6' and 200 lbs. ROBBERY, 12/15/11, 2000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway. On December 15 at 10:50 am, a man brandishing a handgun robbed a female escort of cash. The suspect is described as an African American male in his late 20s, 5'6" and 180 lbs. He was wearing a white t-shirt reading “Myrtle Beach", jeans, a black jacket, and a black knit cap. ROBBERY, 12/16/11, 1200 block of S. Courthouse Road. On December 16 at 12:15 am, two unknown men brandished a knife at another man and demanded money. The suspect fled in a black two-door sedan. They were both African American males in their 20s. BANK ROBBERY, 12/15/11, 3400 block of Columbia Pike. On December 15 at 3:20 pm, an unknown man entered a bank, implied that he had a weapon and demanded money. After receiving cash, the suspect fled on foot. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male in his early 20s, 5'7" to 5'8" with a medium build. He wore a black hooded jacket and dark pants. ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 12/15/11, 200 block of N. Glebe Road. On December 15 at 10 pm, a woman walking from a store was surrounded by three unknown men, and pushed several times. A man from the store yelled at the suspects and they fled. The suspects were white Hispanic men. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 12/15/11, 2000 block of S. Quebec and S. Pollard Streets. On December 15 between 1 am and 6:30 am, an unknown suspect broke into at least six vehicles in the same neighborhood. Various items were stolen. There are no known suspects. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 12/15/11, 400 block of S. Edgewood Street.
