MALICIOUS WOUNDING 3/29/2005, 4250 N. Fairfax Dr., At approximately 1512hrs, a 45yo man was cut on the face and chest by an acquaintance during an argument. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect, 44yo Joseph Parker of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding. He was held on no bond.
BURGLARY, WEAPONS VIOLATION 3/29/2005, 200 blk N. Glebe Rd., At approximately 0107 hours, officers responded to a report of a man trying to break into an apartment. The man was located and a handgun was recovered from the scene. The vehicle the man was driving was reported to have been stolen during carjacking in Prince George's County. Jhamol Dwonne Thomas, 19yo, of Washington, D.C., was arrested and charged with burglary and carrying a concealed weapon. He was held on no bond.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY 3/29/2005, 2700 blk N. Brandywine St., Sometime between 1500hrs on 03/25/05 and 1000hrs on 03/28/05, unknown subject(s) unsuccessfully attempted to enter a residence by breaking a window.
ROBBERY 3/29/2005, 4900 blk Columbia Pike, On 03/29/05 at 0030hrs two unknown men entered a retail store, brandished a rock and stole two bottles of beer before fleeing on foot. Officers responded and arrested two suspects: Waldo Gaston Rocha, 21yo, of no fixed address; and Jehovani Arias-Lopez, 22yo of Arlington were charged with robbery.
ROBBERY BY FORCE 3/28/2005, 4100 blk S. Four Mile Run Drive, On 03/28/05 at 2135 hrs, a 39yo man was struck on the head with a beer bottle by two unknown men who then robbed him of his wallet. Suspects fled on foot. Suspects are described as (1) H/M in his 30s, 5'4, 150lbs, brown eyes, black hair wearing black jeans and jacket; (2) H/M in his 20s, 5'8, 180lbs brown eyes, black hair wearing black jeans and jacket.
ARMED ROBBERY 3/28/2005, 400 blk N. Thomas Street, On 03/28/05 at 2100hrs a 21yo male was robbed of cash at knifepoint by two unknown men. Suspects fled on foot. Officers responded and arrested two suspects: Timoteo Juarez-Lopez, 23yo of Arlington; and Gilmar Hernandez, 22yo, of Arlington were both charged with robbery.
ENTICEMENT 3/27/2005, 1500 blk N. Wilson Blvd., On 03/27/05 at approximately 1838hrs, two juvenile females were inside a business when they were approached by an man who attempted to lure them into a restroom. The suspect is described as a H/M in his 30s, 5'8, 150lbs. black hair, medium complexion, dark coat, striped rugby shirt and gray pants.
ASSAULT BY MOB 3/26/2005, 3500 blk S. 2ND Street, On 03/26/05 at 1655hrs, two juvenile males were assaulted by five other juveniles. One victim was struck with a baseball bat.
ARMED ROBBERY 3/26/2005, 2900 blk South 28th St., On 03/26/05 at 0700hrs, a 31yo male was approached from behind by two unknown suspects. One suspect grabbed the victim around the neck and brandished a knife, the other removed the victim's wallet. Suspects are described as (1) H/M in late 20's, 5'7,160lbs. brown eyes, with blond hair, blue sweater and blue jeans; (2) H/M in his 30s, 5'5 120lbs, brown eyes, with black hair, blue jacket, blue jeans and a white baseball cap.
ROBBERY 3/26/2005, 2700 blk North Washington St., On 03/05/26 at 2100 hrs, a 56yo man was struck on the head by an unknown subject who then removed the victim's wallet and bottle of wine.
ROBBERY 3/26/2005, 1700 blk North Moore Street, On 03/26/05 at 2025hrs, a 43yo female was approached by an unknown man from behind who grabbed her purse and ran. The suspect is described as a B/M, 6', wearing a black jacket and a grey hooded sweatshirt.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 3/26/2005, 2900 blk North Clarendon Blvd., Sometime between 03/25/05 at 2330hrs and 03/26/05 at 1430hrs, an unknown subject(s) entered a shed and removed numerous items.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 3/26/2005, 1100 blk South Hayes Street, Sometime between 03/25/05 at 2230hrs and 03/26/05 at 0530hrs,unknown subject(s) pried open a gate lock and stole numerous items.
PEEPING TOM 3/25/2005, 1700 blk North Quinn Street, On 03/25/05 at 0020hrs, a 28yo female saw an unknown man looking into her window. Officers responded and arrested Joseph Lee Brill, 41yo, of Arlington for peeping tom.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 3/23/2005, 1200 blk South Clark Street, Sometime between 1605hrs on 03/22/05 and 0530hrs on 03/23/05, unknown subject(s) entered a retail establishment by breaking the glass doors and removed an empty cash drawer.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 3/23/2005, 2800 blk North Van Buren Street, Sometime between 1300hrs on 03/22/05 and 0800hrs on 03/23/05, unknown subject(s) entered a secured construction site. A gas powered generator was the only item noted removed. No force entry noted.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING 3/21/2005, 4600 blk South Four Mile Run Drive, At approximately 2300hrs on 03/20/05 the victim was drinking with two friends who tied him up and stabbed him before stealing various items. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspects fled on foot in a unknown direction.
ARMED ROBBERY 3/21/2005, 1100 blk South Hayes Street, At approximately 1856hrs on 03/21/05, an unknown male approached 2 adult female victims in the parking garage, produced a handgun and demanded money. The suspect then fled on foot with various items. The suspect is described as a B/M in his 30s, 6'2, dark complexion, trimmed mustache, wearing black pants, black windbreaker, and a black knit cap.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 3/21/2005, 1800 blk North Rhodes Street, Between 0800hrs on 01/15/05 and 1130hrs on 03/21/05. An unknown subject broke into the locked storage area and removed an air mattress from the victim's storage unit.
BATTERY BY MOB 3/20/2005, 4300 blk N. 4th St., At approximately 2258hrs on 03/20/05, four men attempted to enter a party uninvited. When the host asked them to leave, the men became combative, and one of them threw a fire extinguisher through the front window of the residence. Officers responded and arrested Fredy Portillo Villatoro, 23yo, of Falls Church, charged with battery by mob and throwing a missile into an occupied dwelling; Jesus Arevalo-Grandos, 23yo, of Hyattsvile, MD, charged with battery by mob; David Coello, 26yo, of Arlington, charged with battery by mob; and Carlos Lovo Torres, 22yo, of Arlington, charged with battery by mob.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING 3/19/2005, 1100 blk N. Randolph St., At approximately 0200hrs on 03/19/05 a 43yo male victim was punched repeatedly and struck in the face with a bottle. Officers responded and arrested Myagmar Munkhbayar, 21yo, of Arlington and Enkbaatr Sanjidsharav, 40yo, of Arlington. Both men were charged with malicious wounding and were held on no bond.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 3/17/2005, 3000 BLK South Randolph Street, At 0100hrs on 03/17/05, an unknown male subject entered the victim's apartment by an open window. The victim startled and yelled at the suspect, who fled out the window. Nothing was reported missing. The suspect is described as a W/M, 5'6, 150lbs with a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 3/16/2005, 4000 BLK South 9th Street, Sometime between 2200hrs on 03/12/05 and 1500hrs on 03/13/05, unknown subject(s) entered a new residential construction site and removed various pieces of equipment. No signs of forced entry.
INDECENT EXPOSURE 3/15/2005, 200 BLK N. Glebe Road, An unknown male subject was observed masturbating at a bus stop. Officers responded and, after a brief pursuit, apprehended the suspect. Jeffrey Tillman, 38YOA, of Woodbridge VA, was charged with Indecent Exposure.
ROBBERY 3/14/2005, 900 BLK N. Glebe Rd., On March 14, 2005 at 0930 hours a cab driver was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash by a passenger. The suspect demanded the victim's money, then fled the cab by climbing out a window after the victim locked the doors. Suspect is described as a B/M 25-30 YOA 5'9-6'0, 190 lbs, fair complexion, last seen wearing a grey baseball hat, brown leather jacket, black turtle neck and grey sweatpants.
ARMED ROBBERY 3/14/2005, 200 BLK S. 18TH St., On March 14, 2005 at 0757 hours, a man was robbed of his wallet while in a Metro station. Suspect is described as a B/M, 35 YOA, 5'9, 170 lbs, medium complexion, last seen wearing a black scarf and jacket, blue jeans and "dirty" brown Timberland boots. Suspect may have been armed with a knife. Metro Transit PD also responded.
RESIDENTIAL BURGALRY 3/14/2005, 3500 BLK N. Somerset St., Between 1400hrs on March 11 and 0630hrs on March 14, 2005, unknown subject(s) entered a residence under construction and took various items.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 3/14/2005, 2000 BLK N. 15th St., Between 1530 on March 11 and 0515 hours on March 14, 2005, unknown subject(s) entered a construction site and took various items.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 3/14/2005, 800 BLK N. Madison St., On 03/13/05 at 0050 hours, a known male subject showed up at the victim's residence after the two had argued on the phone. The subject forced his way into the residence and threw a bottle at the victim, striking him in the head. Craig Agostine Mavilia, 26 YOA, of Upper Marlboro, MD, was arrested and charged with Burglary and Malicious Wounding. He is being held on no bond.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING 3/14/2005, 2400 BLK S. Glebe Rd., On 03/12/05 at approximately 2345 hours, a male victim was brought to a local hospital suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was uncooperative and the investigation continues.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 3/13/2005, 2300 BLK N. Albemarle St., Between the hours of 2000 and 0500 on March 12-13, 2005 an unknown subject(s) entered the victim's residence by way of an unlocked back door and took various items of value.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING 3/11/2005, 5000 blk S. Columbia Pike, On March 10,2005 at about 2335 hours, a lone victim was standing in front of a business when 2 male suspects approached him. One suspect struck the victim in the head with a metal pipe. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both suspects are described as B/M's in their 30's. The suspect with the metal pipe is about 5'11 200 lbs. and last seen wearing a dark baggy clothing and dark baseball cap. Both fled on foot.
ATTEMPTED 2ND DEGREE MURDER OF A POLICE OFFICER/OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING 3/10/2005, 2345 blk Crystal Dr., On 03/10/05 at approximately 1024 hours, two members of the Tactical Unit shot and wounded a man in Crystal City when he drove a car at the officers and struck a police vehicle. Officers observed the suspect, 43-year-old Donald Jones of no fixed address, attempting to break into several cars. The officers were working a surveillance operation in response to recent reports of thefts from autos in Crystal City. An arrest warrant has been issued charging Jones with attempted second degree murder of a police officer.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 3/10/2005, 2300 blk N. 11th St., On March 10, 2005 between 1100 and 1230 hours an unknown subject(s) entered the residence by breaking the screen window to the family room. Taken was a pair of Timberland boots.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 3/10/2005, 2300 blk N. Culpeper St., Between 02/20/05 at 0900 hours and 02/22/05 at 0930 hours an unknown subject(s) entered a house under construction by way of an unlocked front door and took 16 boxes of laminated flooring.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM/CRISIS NEGOTIATION UNIT DEPLOYMENT 3/9/2005, 900 blk S. Buchanan St., At approximately 1656hrs, officers responded to a report of an adult male who was threatening to kill himself or force the police to shoot him. A perimeter was established around the residence, and police negotiators began communicating with the man. At approximately 1915hrs, the man agreed to surrender and was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to a local hospital.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 3/9/2005, 2700 blk S. Fern St., Between 1600 and 2000 hours on March 9, 2005, unknown subject(s) took an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim's apartment. There were no signs of forced entry.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING 3/6/2005, 3100 BLK S. 24th St., On March 6, 2005 between 0100 and 0215 hours a man was stabbed numerous times by unknown subject(s). The victim was taken to a local hospital by a relative. Injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING 3/5/2005, 2900 BLK N. Wilson Blvd., On March 5, 2005 at approximately 0151 hours, a large fight broke out between several individuals. One victim received a gash to his forehead and another lost a tooth. Arrested were:
Michael Burford, 25 YOA of Annandale, VA, charged with Malicious Wounding, Destruction of Property and A&B by mob, held on no bond. Ronald W. Wheaton, 29 YOA of Fairfax VA, charged with assault by mob, held on $10,000 secured bond. William Buford, 35 YOA of Annandale, VA, charged with assault by mob and held on $5000 secured bond.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 3/5/2005, 1000 BLK N. Randolph St., On March 5, 2005 between 1300 and 1400 hours an unknown subject(s) entered the apartment and took several small items. No sings of forced entry found.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING 3/4/2005, 4100 blk S. Four Mile Run Drive, On March 4, 2005 between 1530 and 1545 hours a group of unknown males assaulted a lone male in Barcroft Park. The suspects are described as teenaged W/H/Ms.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 3/4/2005, 3800 blk Columbia Pike, On March 4, 2005, between the hours of 0845 and 1200, unknown subject(s) entered an apartment and took an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no signs of forced entry.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 3/2/2005, 4500 Blk S. Fairfax Dr., Between 01/31/05 and 02/16/05 unknown subject(s) entered a business and removed various items. There were no signs of forced entry.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 3/1/2005, 2200 BLK N. Clarendon Blvd., Between 02/28/05 at 1730 hrs and 03/01/05 at 0958 hrs, a known suspect broke into an office suite through a stairwell and took 3 laptop computers.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 2/28/2005, 1000 blk S. Edison St., At 2017hrs on 02/28/05, two juvenile males were arrested while burglarizing a residence. They gained entry by removing an air conditioner and climbing through a window. Suspects are responsible for several other burglaries in the area.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 2/27/2005, 1100 blk S. Edison St., Between the hrs of 1330 and 2130 on 02/27/05 unknown subject(s) entered a residence. Several items were disturbed, and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING 2/27/2005, 1400 blk S. 28th Street, At approximately 0052 hrs on 02/27/05, a man was assaulted by 3 known suspects after visiting an apartment. The victim received multiple blows to the face and was kicked when he fell to the ground. The following three Arlington men were arrested and charged with malicious wounding: Pastor Argueta, 35 YOA; Jose Viatoro, 26 YOA; Nelson Rodriguez, 34 YOA. All three are being held on no bond.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 2/24/2005, 1100 blk S. Hayes St., On 02/24/05 at 0705 hrs, 3 subjects entered a retail store after representing themselves as store employees. A suspicious employee called police, and officers responded and located the 3 subjects. An undisclosed amount of merchandise was recovered in 3 trash bags. The following men were arrested and charged with burglary: James Jones, 35 YOA, of Washington, DC; Thomas Harris Jr., 27 YOA, of Washington, DC; Joseph Simmons, 26 YOA, of Mitchellville, MD.
INDECENT EXPOSURE 2/23/2005, 1200 BLK N. Ohio St., At approximately 1249 hrs on 02/22/05, a female was walking her dog on the bike trail along Rt 66 when she heard a male cough behind her. When she looked in that direction, she saw a man with his pants completely down, masturbating. Suspect is described as a W/M of avg. height and heavy build, wearing a greenish blue sweater and unknown color pants.
ARMED ROBBERY 2/23/2005, 1000 BLK S. Frederick St., At approximately 2129 hrs, on 02/22/05, 4 unknown suspects armed with a shotgun robbed 3 victims of an undisclosed amount of cash and other personal belongings. Suspect descriptions are as follows: Suspect # 1 B/M 20 YOA 5'8 130 lbs blk hair (corn rows) dark complexion wearing a black jacket, grey sweatshirt. Suspect #2 B/M 20 YOA 5'6 120 lbs light complexion, wearing a blk sweatshirt with a wht tiger or puma logo on the chest. Suspect # 3 B/M 20 YOA wearing a blk jacket. Suspect #4 W/H/M 20 YOA 5'6 170 wearing a blk jacket and blu jeans. The suspects were last seen leaving the area in an almond colored Mazda 4 door.
INDECENT EXPOSURE 2/23/2005, 700 blk N. Wakefield St., At approximately 2140 hours on 02/23/05, a woman was walking towards her residence when she noticed a male standing in the parking lot. After she walked past him, the suspect called out to her and pulled down his sweat pants, exposing his genitals. Suspect is described as an H/M, mid 20s, black hair and light complexion, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and black sweat pants.
ARMED ROBBERY 2/23/2005, 3800 blk S. 12th St., At approximately 0200 hrs on 02/23/05, a man was robbed at knifepoint of an undisclosed amount of cash as he was parking his vehicle. The suspects are described as 2 H/Ms, 30s, approx. 5'7". One suspect was wearing a blue hooded jacket and blue jeans; the other was wearing a red hooded jacket and blue jeans. Both fled the scene on foot.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 2/21/2005, 900 blk N. Lebanon St., Between 1500 hrs on 02/17/05 and 1505 hrs on 02/21/05 the victim's house was broken into. Unknown subject(s) entered through a side door. Unknown if anything was taken.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING 2/20/2005, 4800 blk S. Columbia Pike, At approximately 2130 hrs on 02/20/05 the victim was struck in the face and head by 3 males. Victim stated one suspect used a glass bottle to strike him in the face. Suspect #1 is described as a W/H/M, 21 yoa 5'7 130 lbs blond hair. Suspect #2 is a W/H/M, 25 yoa, 5'7 and blk hair. Suspect #3 is a W/H/M, 31 yoa 5'9.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY 2/19/2005, 2100 blk N. Courthouse Rd., At approximately 0600 hrs on 02/19/05, a male subject attempted to break into the victim's house. The suspect forced open a screen door and worked the door handle on the main door. The victim heard the noise and the police were notified. Officers arrived and found the suspect in a nearby back yard.
ROBBERY BY FORCE 2/19/2005, 4900 blk. S.Columbia Pike, On 02/19/05 at 0415 hrs, the victim took a cab from Washington DC to Arlington. Upon arriving in Arlington, the victim did not have enough to cover the fare. Cab driver took the victim to an ATM where the he was robbed of his belongings by 2 suspects. The suspects fled in the same cab in which the victim arrived. Suspects were described as Ethiopian. Suspect # 1 is a male between 50-60 yoa. Suspect #2 is a male 5'5 150 lbs blk hair and mustache and medium complexion. Last seen wearing blue jeans and red or plaid shirt.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 2/18/2005, 1800 BLK S. George Mason Dr., Sometime between 0815 hrs on 02/16/05 and 0745 hrs on 02/17/05, unknown subject(s) entered the residence by cutting the kitchen window screen. Subject(s) went through the house and took an undisclosed amount of cash.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 2/16/2005, 5100 blk S. 12th St., On 02/16/05 at 1118 hours the victim heard an unknown subject knocking on her rear door. The unknown subject than kicked in the door and fled on foot after hearing the victim coming downstairs. The subject was described only as a white male.
ARMED ROBBERY 2/16/2005, 4800 blk N. Fairfax Dr., At approximately 0002hrs on 02/16/05, a 46yo male was approached by two unknown male subjects who pushed him to the ground, implied they had a gun and demanded money. The subjects removed the victim's wallet, then fled the scene on foot.
INDECENT EXPOSURE 2/15/2005, 2500 blk N. 20th Rd., At approximately 0750hrs on 02/15/05, a 34yo female riding on a bike trail noticed an unknown male subject exposing himself and masturbating while standing on an apartment patio just off the trail. The witness called police, and officers located the suspect inside the apartment. 42-year-old Clifford S. Cernick, Jr., of Arlington, was arrested and charged with indecent exposure.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 2/14/2005, 1200 blk N. Veitch St., Sometime between 0715hrs on 02/03/05 and 1430hrs on 02/03/05, unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole several watches. There were no signs of forced entry.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 2/14/2005, 2000 blk N. Oakland St., Sometime between 1900hrs on 02/12/05 and 0800hrs on 02/14/05, unknown subject(s) entered a residence by cutting a window screen and stole power tools.
SUSPICIOUS DEATH 2/14/2005, Unit block S. Aberdeen St., At approximately 1423hrs, a caregiver called a social worker reporting than an infant male in her care was not breathing. The social worker called 911, and officers and medics were dispatched. The infant was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
ATT. ARMED ROBBERY 2/14/2005, 2400 blk N. Lee Hwy., At approximately 1720hrs, an unknown male subject entered a store, implied he had a weapon and demanded cash. The clerk stalled until customers entered the store, at which point the subject left the store, got into a car and fled the scene. The suspect is described as a WM, 20-30s, approx. 6', 170lbs, blond hair, fair complexion, wearing a khaki jacket. The suspect vehicle is described as a white Audi.
ARMED ROBBERY 2/14/2005, 1200 blk S. Hayes St., At approximately 1330hrs on 02/14/05, a male subject entered a store, picked up two vacuum cleaners and exited the store. When employees attempted to stop him, the subject produced a knife and attempted to stab them. The subject then fled the scene on foot.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING 2/13/2005, 4800 blk Columbia Pike, At approximately 0032hrs on 02/13/05, witnesses reported a victim of a hit & run at the side of the road. Responding officers determined the victim, a 22yo male, had actually been assaulted by several unknown subjects. The victim was transported by air to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 2/13/2005, 5000 blk S. 12th St., Sometime between 1500hrs on 02/12/05 and 0015hrs on 02/13/05, unknown subject(s) forced a window open, entered a residence and moved several items. The only thing reported missing was a bottle of beer.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES) 2/12/2005, 2900 blk Columbia Pike, Sometime between 2200hrs on 02/11/05 and 0200hrs on 02/12/05, unknown subject(s) broke out the rear windshields of four vehicles parked at a restaurant.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 2/12/2005, 3000 blk N. Glebe Rd., Sometime between 2359hrs on 02/11/05 and 0422hrs on 02/12/05, unknown subject(s) broke a window on the cart storage shed at a golf course, entered the shed and drove off w/ four golf carts. The carts were removed from the property by cutting a chain securing a gate on the 4400 blk N. Vermont St.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 2/11/2005, 1600 blk S. Eads St., Sometime between 1000hrs on 02/06/05 and 2230hrs on 02/08/05, unknown subject(s) entered a residence and removed several items of jewelry. There were no signs of forced entry.
ARMED ROBBERY 2/11/2005, 4800 blk Columbia Pike, On 02/10/05 at 1800 hrs, A male victim exited a store when he was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash by 2 unknown suspects. One suspect pushed a handgun into the victim's stomach and demanded money. The suspects fled on foot. Suspect #1 is described as a W/H/M wearing a denim jacket. Suspect #2 is described as a W/H/M wearing a tan or yellow/gold jacket.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 2/8/2005, 4200 blk N. 2nd Rd., On 02/08/05 at 1410 hrs., an unknown suspect entered the victim's apartment by cutting the screen to a partially opened side window. COMERCIAL BURGLARY 2/8/2005, 3000 blk N. Lee Hwy., Between the hours of 1530 on 02/07/05 and 0700 on 02/08/05 an unknown subject broke into the laundry room of an apartment complex. The laundry room door was forced open with an unknown tool. The subject broke into the coin machine. It is unknown if any cash was taken.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 2/8/2005, 1300 blk S. Thomas St., On 02/08/05 an employee at an apartment complex, noticed a washing machine missing. The machine was last known to be in the laundry room between 02/07/05 and 02/08/05 between the hours of 2000 and 0830. No signs of forced entry found.
ROBBERY 2/5/2005, 5000 blk S. 10th St., On 02/05/05 a lone male reported being robbed of his wallet and an undisclosed amount of cash by up to 5 unknown suspects. The suspects were described only as W/H/M.
ARMED ROBBERY 2/5/2005, 4100 blk N. Henderson Rd., On 02/05/05 at 1500 hrs., a grocery store was robbed by an unknown suspect implying he had a gun. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as B/M between 20-25 YOA, 5'9, 180 lbs, medium complexion, and clean shaven. Last seen wearing a blk hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans.
EXPOSURE 2/4/2005, 3900 blk N. Wilson Blvd., On 2/4/05 at 0600 hrs. an employee observed an unknown subject standing outside a business and looking through the window. She shined her vehicle lights on him and the subject began walking towards her. She observed that the subject was masturbating. Subject is described as a W/H/M in his 20's. 5'5, 120 lbs, brn hair, brn eyes and last seen wearing blue athletic pants with stripes and a wht baseball cap.
INDECENT EXPOSURE 2/3/2005, 1600 blk S. 10th St., At approximately 2224hrs, the victim, a 63yo female, noticed movement through the fence at the edge of her property. She then saw an unknown male subject expose his genitals through the fence. The subject then fled the scene.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 2/1/2005, 1700 blk N. Rhodes St., At approximately 1040hrs, two cleaning personnel discovered an unknown male subject in the storage area of an apartment building. Upon being discovered, the subject covered his face and left the building. After he left, the cleaning personnel discovered evidence that a storage room door had been tampered with. The suspect is described as a BM, approx. 5'6", 140lbs, wearing a black jacket and backpack and wheeling a bicycle.
ARMED ROBBERY 2/1/2005, 700 blk N. Vermont St., At approximately 2041hrs, an unknown male subject entered a business that is run out of the victim's home, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the subject fled the scene on foot heading south on N. Vermont St. The suspect is described as an Hispanic male, late 20s/early 30s, w/ thick eyebrows, wearing a gray sweatshirt, dark blue jeans, black gloves and a black ski mask.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 2/1/2005, 5100 blk N. Lee Hwy., On 01/31/05 at 2352 hrs., patrol units responded to an alarm. Officers found that the front door of the establishment had the glass broken on both the top and bottom halves. Various VHS tapes and an undisclosed amount of cash were taken.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 2/1/2005, 2200 blk N. Clarendon Blvd., On 01/31/05 at 0154 hrs., patrol units responded to an alarm. Upon checking the building, a male exited the business and was taken into custody. Samuel Contreras, 20, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged w/ burglary. He is being held on no bond.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 1/30/2005, 4400 blk N. Lee Hwy., On 01/30/05 between 1200 hrs and 1748 hrs., unknown subject(s) entered the residence by forcing the bathroom window open. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
HIT AND RUN 1/29/2005, 3100 blk Columbia Pike, On 01/29/05 at about 1925 hrs., a 42 YOA female was struck by a vehicle while crossing Columbia Pike. The striking vehicle continued west bound on Columbia Pike. The victim was transported by ground to a local hospital with potentially life threatening injuries. The vehicle is described as a white Nissan Maxima with tinted windows.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 1/29/2005, 1000 blk N. Arlington Blvd., On 01/29/05 at 1115 hrs., Unknown subject entered the victim's residence. No signs of forced entry found. An undisclosed of cash was taken.
HOME INVASION ROBBERY 1/27/2005, 3000 blk N. Florida St., On 01/27/05 at 1447 hrs, 3 unknown suspects forced their way into the victim's home. One suspect attempted to use a Taser to shock the victim. The victim and a friend began to fight with the suspects until one of the suspects pulled out a gun. The suspects fled w/ an undisclosed amount of cash in a van similar to a white Dodge Caravan. Suspect # 1 is a male, 20 YOA, 6'2, 250-300 lbs wearing a puffy blk jacket, blk jeans, blk t-shirt and head band. Suspect #2 is a male, 5'7 150 lbs wearing blk clothing and blk ski mask. Suspect #3 is a male, 20 YOA, 6'5 175 lbs. wearing black clothing with blk ski mask.
BREAKING AND ENTERING 1/26/2005, 1700 blk N. Rhodes St., Between 01/21/05 and 01/24/05 unknown subject(s) broke into several storage units by prying the metal plates off the doors. No property was removed from the storage areas.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY/MISSILE INTO OCCUPIED DWELLING 1/23/2005, 2200-2400 blks N. Columbus St. & 2400 blk N. George Mason Dr., Sometime between 1700hrs on 01/22/05 and 1530hrs on 01/23/05, unknown subject(s) shattered windows out of vehicles with a BB gun and fired a BB gun into a residence.
PEEPING TOM 1/21/2005, 4400 blk N. Henderson Rd., On 01/21/05 at 0022 hrs, the victims, a 19yo female and 21yo female, noticed an unknown male subject looking into their apartment window. Officers located Marvin G. Hernandez-Canales of Arlington, in the rear of the apartments. He was identified by the victims and arrested.
BANK ROBBERY 1/21/2005, 1800 blk N. Lynn St., On 01/21/05 at 1442 hrs, a bank was robbed by an unknown suspect, by gun point. The subject produced a black revolver and demanded money. Subject fled on foot with dye pack. The subject is described as a BM, 25-35 yr, 5'4 to 5'6, 150-170 lbs. brown eyes, with black hair. Black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark blue mask and white sneakers.
ROBBERY 1/19/2005, 1100 blk S. Hayes St., On 01/19/05 at 1645 hrs, An unknown suspect entered a store and stole numerous amount of cologne. Suspect fled on foot. The subject is described as a BM in his 50's, brown eyes, black hair, maroon jacket, white hat and blue pants.
ARMED ROBBERY 1/6/2005, 3500 block of Columbia Pike, On 01/06/05, at 1120 hrs, the victim, a 35yo male, was walking out of a bank when an unknown subject walked in front of him, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the subject fled on foot on S. Monroe St. Witnesses advised a second subject ran away with the first subject. Subject #1 was described as a BM, 20s, 5'9", 160lbs, brown eyes, brown hair, dark complexion, wearing a tan jacket and blue jeans. Subject #2 was described as a BM, brown eyes, brown hair wearing a blue jacket.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 1/3/2005, Sometime between 1700hrs on 12/22/04 and 0800hrs on 12/30/04, unknown subject(s) forced entry into an office suite and stole 2 Sanyo LCD projectors.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 1/3/2005, 1300 block of S. Scott St., Sometime between 1000hrs on 12/23/04 and 2215hrs on 01/03/05, unknown subject(s) forced entry into an apartment by prying open the front door. Nothing appeared to be missing.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARIES 1/3/2005, 1600 block of N. George Mason Dr., Sometime between 1300hrs on 01/02/05 and 0720hrs on 01/03/05, unknown subject(s) forced entry into four doctors' offices and stole a laptop computer and money.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING 1/2/2005, Rt. 66/N. Sycamore St., On 01/01/04, at 1930hrs, the victim, a 32yo male, was driving on Rt. 66 with his girlfriend when they began to argue. During the argument, the girlfriend pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed the victim. The victim was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Sarah Anne Law, 25, of the 800 block of N. Overlook Dr. in Alexandria was arrested and charged with malicious wounding.
ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 1/1/2005, 1300 block of S. Scott St., Sometime between 1030hrs on 12/23/04 and 2155hrs on 01/01/04, unknown subject(s) attempted to force entry into an apartment by prying open the front door.
