Thank You!!

On behalf of the entire community, the Board of Directors wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to Claire Shea and David Mortimer for their service on the Board. The commitment and expertise Claire and David brought to the Board served our community well. Thanks for a super job!

Urgent Call for New Board Members

With the loss of Claire Shea and David Mortimer we are short two Board members. If you're interested in serving on the Board, please call any of the remaining Board members (Juan Molina, Acting President; George Grant, Secretary; and Keith Zielinski, Treasurer).

The members of the Board of Directors are co-owners of the units who are interested in serving the community. Each of us has a full-time job and is volunteering his or her time, effort and life experiences to help make our community an attractive well- maintained, fun and enjoyable place to live.

Dog Run Concerns

Concerns were raised at the April Board meeting that the dog run in Utah Park managed by Fair Dogs is becoming a problem. Fairlington Green homeowners reported that people using the park are parking in Fairlington Green and letting their dogs run through the private property of the Green. In addition, the dog run is being used by non-Arlington residents. The Board is sending a letter of complaint to Arlington County Parks and Recreation. Residents are asked to report further problems to either the Fair Dogs point of contact, Brian MacKeil at (703) 578-3989, or the Board so that corrective action can be taken.

Parking

Just a reminder, you must have a parking sticker to park in any of the Fairlington Green parking lots. Cars without parking stickers will be towed. Residents are asked to call a Board member to (1) have a warning ticket issued, and (2) have the unauthorized vehicle towed. One parking pass is issued per household. If you need a parking sticker please contact Legum & Norman.

Trash Talk

Please do not leave trash out overnight as it attracts rodents and crows. Regular pick-up time is 8:00am Monday through Saturday.

There is NO PICK-UP scheduled for Memorial Day, May 29th.

Landscaping

Spring is here and the landscaping of Fairlington Green has begun.

The Board of Directors would like to welcome and thank the new members of the Landscape Committee:

With the exception of the Board vacancies, ownership of a unit is not a requirement for participation – you just have to care about your community.

Swimming Pool Pass Application

Fairlington Green swimming pool pass applications were mailed in April. Although the pool will not open until Memorial Day weekend on Saturday, May 27th, we urge you to complete your application and return it to Legum & Norman as quickly as possible to avoid last-minute delays in receiving your pass. No passes will be issued if condominium fees are not current. (Renters – be sure to check with your landlord in this regard.)

Pool Rules and Safety Regulations

Self-explanatory rules and regulations governing the use of this facility were attached to the pool pass application. Please read the rules carefully and keep for future reference.

Pool hours are listed on the following page.
